my uncle is one of my biggest role models in life; even though we live halfway across the country from each other, we still keep in touch & call each other often. recently, he told me that his first boyfriend (all the way back in college) used to listen to kate with him! i've always found it beautiful that artists can unite listeners from different generations, but it's truly something special that a singer who debuted 46 years ago has remained so beloved within the queer community.
