    Bought a 94 GT convertible couple years ago. 62K prime virgin car, aka it was all original, no mods done to it. So far I've have a BBK cold air intake, FR500 18x9/10 rims with Sumitomo Maximum Performance tires with rear wheel spacers, and Mac exhaust

    When your left side gauges show funny that's usually a ground issue someplace. Wiggle the wires under the driver side dash and see if anything changes.

    Nice I’m going to keep up with this build since I want to buy one just for fun as well

    I recently decided to start a new project and landed on the SN95 myself. Hoping to find a '94 or '95 for the 5.0, but based off of what's on the market near me I may end up with the 4.6.
    The plan is a Street/track build, but not redlight to redlight and drag strip. Shooting for backroads and circuits. I'm hopeful to turn it into a solid DRIVER's car.

      I got real lucky finding this one. I never looked that hard into the 4.6 stuff, but it's tough to beat the availability of the pushrod 5.0 engine parts.

    • @CollideFan1

      Had a Thunderbird with a 4.6, wasn't impressed. From the videos I've seen on here about the SN95s with the 4.6, I wouldn't touch them. I'd stick with the 5.0, performance parts are cheaper and plentiful. Or go with a Coyote 5.0 conversion

      The 4.6 PI motor with improved heads are great motors, 99-04.. quick revving dependable little bastards..I have a full factory one in my centennial edition 👈🏻

    I'm the original owner of a white '94 GT coupe, automatic which I ordered in May, '94. Now 115K miles, some mods, meticulous maintenance and garage-kept. I may have a buyer already - bought a 2012 Boss 302 salvage title rebuild with 10,800 miles, no garage space for two Mustangs and a Cougar :-)

      Man you might regret selling it later on. Clean SN95s are around, but not the one you bought brand new. I have a 2013 GT as a daily, it's nice not looking like everyone else with their S550s. What year Cougar? I was always loved the '69.

    • @UmmYeahOk
      @UmmYeahOk Год назад +2

      I always wondered why original owners who kept a car for so long would want to even think about selling it. The only theory I could come up with was they got too old for it. And I don’t mean “too old” as in “mature,” because that’s how many of these found new owners, some jerk told them that these aren’t appropriate adult vehicles. You’re supposed to buy some boring four door family vehicle, in some boring basic color. You’re not in college any more. You’ve got a family… …etc. But to own a car for 20+ years, then choose to sell it, maybe they have difficulty getting in and out of it, or can’t really drive themselves any more, or, I dunno, some horrific financial need.
      You will regret selling it. Are there better cars out there? Yeah. But this car in particular is special. This car is different. This car is you. This car is fun. Basically, if you have the means, you buy a new daily driver, and this car becomes the toy. It may not be the fastest, but it’s the most fun, the most smile per mile.

      @@UmmYeahOk Good points noted! I have the '68 Cougar, '08 Mazda Miata, and now '12 Boss 302 and no longer have the garage space, plus I won't be driving the '94 much after the Boss purchase. Also, I sort of regret to this day getting the automatic back in '94, even though I've had few problems with it.

      @@davidpenney4171 automatics are good for daily drivers when you consider traffic. And if you regret it later, you can always swap transmissions.

      @@UmmYeahOk I'm sure that's why the potential buyer wants is, plus I doubt his wife can drive stick.

    • @80sfordfan34
      @80sfordfan34  2 года назад

      I have a "rebuilt" AODE lying around that I bought off craigslist years ago for my old green 94. But ended up 5-speed swapping it since it developed a stalling issue while driving. I have tons of fox body parts, but nothing for the sn-95, so would need pedals, computer, driveshaft. We'll see, may put the other aode in it, since the current trans isn't the best.

    Looks like a good project car. I’d work on fixing vac leaks first. My 95 GT has 217k on original motor, AND clutch.

    Make it into Cobra R replica or maybe even a S351 Saleen clone. The sky is the limit.

    • @80sfordfan34
      @80sfordfan34  2 года назад +1

      I always thought a red Cobra R replica would be cool since the 95 was the oddball being white vs the 93 and 00. But this will be a budget build for now.
