To add to the great points in this episode, I would suggest that what is often considered "progress" by many is just a chaotic shifting of culture from one dominant passion to another. A culture shifting away from wrath to sexual immorality may be superficially less violent, but the net depravity and enslavement to overall vice is probably a negligible change. Likewise, a culture that turns from sexual immorality in favor of pride or vanity or greed or delusion (etc) is not drawing closer to God (though it may become less sexually sinful temporarily). The culture is simply rejecting service to some demons in favor of service to other demons who specialize in something different. All of these shifts may be change, but they are not progress.
I personally would love to hear a debate between Ken Hamm and Father Stephen. I think his heart is in the right place and honestly I do appreciate some of his research. But I agree with the fathers that the Bible isn’t a science textbook. Thank you for the podcast! It has been a wonderful influence on my life!
Dear fathers- I would like to request an episode on Aramaic and the contribution of the language to salvation-history, including sacred writings, religions (Judaism& Christianity), and Jesus. Christianity east vs west. Dead Sea Scrolls etc. Exile What church fathers said about it? What are the controversies? What are the positions and who holds which? I've been learning about some of this stuff but I've got it all jumbled.
Thanks for letting me know. There is a setting that allows RUclips to automatically decide where to place mid-roll ads and I turned it off. I am not sure why it was turned on in the first place, I apologize.
55:10 Let's nor forget that Jesus abolished slavery and any form of abuse: "Do to others as you would have them do to you!" Edit: 58:10: Precisely, Christ's intention and purpose was to completely remake the economy of the whole world.
You mean "ethnically," right? Since the genealogical records of the Jewish people were destroyed a couple millennia ago, how can anyone truly ascertain if they are biological descendants of any of the 12 tribes? If you weren't raised in a Jewish faith tradition (that isn't Christianity), are you truly Jewish (since what made one part of Israel, in the Old Testament, was obedience to YHWH and His covenant)? If you WERE raised in a Jewish faith tradition (that isn't Christianity), then this question is relevant. Christ and His Jewish disciples observed the Torah. He (and they) rejected the Torah-adjacent burdens placed on the Jewish people by the Pharisees (and all the weird work-arounds that have sprung up alongside them). So, if you choose to observe the Torah to remain closer to your friends and family (and ethnic heritage?) that is understandable; but you would be in a weird place if you submitted yourself to all the extra-Biblical requirements that accompany pharasaical/rabbinical Judaism, if you are now part of the New Israel.
1:24:50 Very interesting and good point.
Didnt know about ECK. Now i know about ECK.
Really Fr. Stephen, really..what the ECK!

1:08:50 ...speaking of 18th century myths. Shout out to Adam Smith. 😋
No transcript? If you can get it enabled, that would be great.
I heard on a podcast in the long ago that transcripts are paid for through donations.
@@JerryMander-wc7ms that's right. RUclips's closed captions are now processed and available to turn on as well. They aren't perfect, but it's there.
How can this show have 3 halves? That would equate to 3/2. Maybe 3 parts, or 3 periods, but not 3 halves!
Why does he always say "perched atop a gateway to the underworld"? What's he referring to?
Hmmmm
There is an ad every 3-4 minutes and it ruins the show.

@AncientFaithMinistries all good. I listen no matter what the ads do, but I know y'all like to know when the ads are misplaced. Thank you
@@AncientFaithMinistries All seems good now, or at least from Czechia side

Being ethically Jewish, does that mean that one must still partake in the laws of Moses, even if you become Christian
