The 22685 / 22686 Yesvantpur-Chandigarh Karnataka Sampark Kranti Express is an express train belonging to South Western Railway zone that runs between Yesvantpur Junction and Chandigarh Junction in India. It is currently being operated with 22686/22685 train numbers on a bi-weekly basis.
The 22685/Yesvantpur-Chandigarh Karnataka Sampark Kranti Express has an average speed of 54 km/h and covers 2865 km in 52h 35m.

Both trains are hauled by a Krishnarajapuram based WDP-4D / WDP-4B diesel locomotive from Bengaluru to Pune. From Pune, train is hauled by a Ghaziabad based WAP-7 electric locomotive from New Delhi and vice versa.
The train shares its rake with 16541/16542 Yesvantpur-Pandharpur Express.

Yesvantpur Junction railway station also Yeshwanthapura Junction railway station (station code: YPR) is one of the three important stations which serves the city of Bangalore which is located in Yesvantpur locality. It is one of the developing stations of Bangalore created for reducing the rush at Bangalore City railway station.
This station is located on the Bangalore-Pune & Bangalore-Hyderabad main lines. Being a main location, all trains bound towards Hubli & Hyderabad either originate from here or the ones from Bangalore City have a stop at this station. Direct trains to major Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Indore, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ajmer, Jaipur, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Howrah, Chennai, Trivandrum, Kannur,Kozhikode, Tumakuru, Ahmedabad, Pondicherry etc. also originate from Yeshwantpur.
Yesvantpur Junction railway station has a total of 6 platforms out of which platform 1,2,4,5 and 6 are platforms for originating & terminating trains. Platform 3 is generally used by passing-through trains. There are two overbridges , one connecting platform 1 and 2 , and another from platform 2 to platforms 3,4,5,and 6. It has 2 entrances-one from Yeshwantapur old area , and another from Tumkur Road. The one on Tumkur Road connects to platform-6 . The Yeshwanthpur metro station is at a walkable distance from the station.
Yesvantpur Junction railway station has 6 non-AC retiring rooms and 12 dormitories at a reasonable cost. Other facilities such as AC VIP Lounge, Essential stalls, and an ATM also available in the station. It even provides free Wi-Fi for the people in and nearby the station.
Chandigarh Junction railway station (station code:- CDG), serves the union territory city of Chandigarh. The station is at an elevation of 330.77 metres (1,085.2 ft) and was assigned the code - CDG. Chandigarh is amongst the top hundred booking stations of the Indian Railway.
The Delhi-Panipat-Ambala-Kalka line was opened in 1891, and the Chandigarh-Sahnewal line (also referred to as Ludhiana-Chandigarh rail link) was inaugurated in 2013.
Ambala-Chandigarh sector was electrified in 1998-99 and Chandigarh-Kalka in 1999-2000.
Chandigarh railway station has computerized reservation facilities, General Railway Police outpost, telephone booths, tourist reception centre, waiting room, retiring room, vegetarian and non-vegetarian refreshment room, and book stall. In 2014, Chandigarh railway station got escalators.
The railway station is 8 km from the city centre. The airport is 7 km. City buses, auto rickshaws and cycle rickshaws are available at the station for local transportation.

Once I thought to travel solo by this train in my college days . I couldn't get time for that. Now I'm able to watch the whole journey bcz of your efforts.
