When I went to Pigalle and ST.Denis red light district in Paris in 1996 it was pretty good and prostitution was legal.

But Amsterdam's Red Light District is still king.
It's a beautiful area of Amsterdam although the city's horrible project (I think it's called "project 1019") has ruined it to an extent.

What would you recommend one wear for the weather? I'll be visiting in Feb 2018 and i do not want to over pack or not be prepared
Expect it to be very cold at that time of year. It was down to freezing during the day on the first few days I was there, in late January, then it warmed up a bit. Bring warm clothing, long underwear, jacket, hat, gloves, etc. Check the forecast right before you go to have a better idea of what it will be like.

It doesn't really compare to the RLD in Amsterdam.
Jan this area is nothing as compared to the one in Netherlands both in Amsterdam and den Hague. This just seemed a red light area otherwise when I enter the club. They will rob u of it money and credit card. Be aware of pigalle. Actually prostitution is illegal in France. If u want red light area then Netherlands or ltaly are best and safe for u
