    I like how you explain things. I have to fast forward thru so many videos just to get what I was looking for. You define what function your going to teach, then it's off to the races! No wasted time, very efficiently done.

    Awesome delivery, big PLUS that you refer to NEC several time throughout your videos. So many people have their “Chanel” but don’t really know what they are doing, just that they tried it out and it seems to have worked, so now they want to teach others their (mistakes) actions. I’m journeyman Electeician that hasn’t kept up with certification fees in about 12 years, so I have to check what may have been added to knowledge base since. Thanks for your detailed information.

    Just a small correction. That was not a hydralic crimper. That was a pure mechanical crimper. Which makes perfect sense with those thinner cables.

    Thank you for video. Question. How to calculate wire size and circuit breaker for that DC motor?

    All is nice and well explained . I would have a very specific request: I like many individuals have a "IT home lab". most individu7alsa will have a normal UPS. Since i do not have one and that i am planning to install solar panes on my house, is there a way to to wire the system so i can use the battery of the solar solution as the basis of a UPS? Would i need an additional component to "activase " the UPS function in the event of a power or spike failure? Spike coming most likely from a thunder strike

    What was the wire size or gauge used to connect the controller to the battery?

    Great video! The only note is that some charge controllers require to connect the battery first, only then connect PV. Otherwise it can damage the controller.

    I’ve just configured a PV system with 20 250W 24v modules, 5 in each array with pure sine grid tie micro inverters (1300w each) using 8 awg thhn thwn from modules to inverters. Then dedicated circuits to a sub panel for each micro inverter with 12 awg making sure to share the amps on both poles in sub panel. The master for sub panel is 50A 220v leaving sub panel through 6 awg romex to main panel also with 50A 220v breaker. The micro inverters use a reference to sync and will auto shut off when no sync available as in power outage thus protecting any lineman doing any repairs. My only issue is trying to use all the energy I produce as the new digital meters keep moving forward even when I’m giving energy Back to grid. Without getting a net meter from electric co. I have a Question about the use of splitter / combiner cables with mc4 connectors about NEC. Are they ok to use or do I need to put inside nema2 box.

    So a 30a controller is capable to have under 30 am current output @ lets say 13.5 volts. Or did I get confused with this?

    I have 4 bayite 6.5-100V multimeters with shunts PZEM-05. I don't understand the wiring diagram for hooking up the 4 meters for a solar power system found on the amazon web page. I have hooked up the green, yellow, blue wires to the shunts and 4 meters but WHAT are the red dots on the red wires in the diagram? For meter #4, where does the red wire go ... to the inverter or to the battery or both? thank you

    What is the purpose of the small DC motor - is it just to visualize that the system is operational?

      Yes, it shows that the DC power is working.

    If you have a series aray at say 40v and a series aray at 30v then you parallel them what voltage will see

    • @redmatrix
      @redmatrix Год назад

      The answer is 30v. Series arrays adds the volts (and uses the smallest amp); parallel arrays adds amps (and uses the smallest volt). I remember it as SV-PA, by looking at the first two letters of "parallel"; PA-rallel adds amps.
      So, for your question, the parallel connection adds "A"mps, so it must use the lowest volts it sees; so 30v in your example.

    I was trying to think of a good mnemonic to remember which panel MC4 is which...males are positive and females (as one would expect) are negative...
