- I made this C Table for the popular instagrammer @leo.mainecoon. We needed it to be pet safe and match a specific color through staining.

Using a raised panel door trick for the tray would allow you to use solid wood. Just make a deeper groove for the tray bottom and pad the inside of the groove with rubber/silicone BBs to keep it from rattling.

Which sawstop table saw do you have? Also which jointer and planer? Sorry just trying to get an idea from a couple places as to which tools to get.
Nice work! I was wondering how you air condition your shop. Is it done through vents from the house, or do you have some sort of wall unit? My shop is getting pretty unbearable.
Thank you, David! I have a mini split ac unit in the garage! Additionally, I installed some padding onto my garage door and also have a dehumidifier running. Some days, all three are still not enough to BEAT the heat, but it sure helps!

That’s about as good a video as you’ve ever done! And So; #1. I love those joints! I may try to incorporate that idea in my spoon carving! #2 I’ve used turmeric root as a wood stain. #3 In the old days of my martial arts competition we used mineral oil to help dissipate bruising way faster. #3 Anyone who would think Don hit you is out of their mind, and needs to get a friggin hobby!

I’m in the process of building your first c-table. Are you saying I shouldn’t attach a maple top to it in fear of splitting? IMHO, at apx 12x17, it may be too small to worry about movement and splitting. Please correct me of I’m wrong before I attach the top. Thank you.
You are correct, it’s small enough that splitting is not a big concern. That’s why you’re seeing me glue the top to the leg 😁
