The Fullback (FB) was once a vital piece of not only NFL offenses but during college as well. This main goal of the fullback was to create a hole for the running back (RB) to push the football up the field. The fullback would occasionally catch passes and be the ball carrier themselves.
However since about the 2010s the position has found itself to be a bit of an afterthought in the league. So much so that most NFL teams don't have a player that is specifically designated to be the fullback. In today's video we discuss what happened to the fullback position in the NFL and if the fullback may ultimately go extinct.
