- Fallout 4 is one of my favorite games of all time. I have thousands of hours in it, and it's one of the best Fallout Games Period. Despite this, I along with many others still have issues with the game. The game isn't perfect. That's why i decided to list the top 5 things Fallout 4 got wrong. There are many things that Fallout 4 did better than other. In this video, we explore the top 5 mistakes Fallout 4 made! I love Fallout 4, despite its flaws, for me it has the best atmosphere, the best map and some of the best side quests. I wish they'd remake the old BioWare RPGs in this engine, but with a NV obsession with detail and writing, and as actual RPGs.
This is the first Fallout game I've played and I'm enjoying it and don't see any these as "issues". Ignorance is bliss eh
The only good thing about fallout 4 in my opinion was power armor and customizable robot companions. except for power armor lacking durability and having needlessly consumable power cores. And the robot companions was a dlc instead of something that really could have been included in the base game and the automatron quest wasn’t particularly good either. 😅

As somebody that can't read on a decent level, having a voice protagonist is a god tear thing as somebody that's in love with RPGs is which is weird because I can't read. I know it's kind of a niche thing but having a voice protagon is really help me. Yes I love fallout New Vegas and three but I don't go to them games as much as fallout 4. Because I have a voice protagonist and you can do a role play voice protagonist really good v from cyberpunk is a great example. Yes, v has a back story but it's not in your face and you can make her or him feel like your own character I wish more games did what saints row did where you can choose the tone of your voice and stuff or have a voice protagonist as an option which would cost them more money. But it would help people like me in the long run because I know there is a big massive portion of fans that like having a voice protagonist. Yes I agree. They need to rework the dialogue either do what the older games did or redo it make a different wheel with like six options or whatever, but I think it's really cool to have a voice protagonist either an option or in general because I feel like you can get into the character more. That's just my thoughts. Still love the video. I'm a new subscriber

I have as you but then I started to select some mods: Gunner operator is quite all right, there are also some audio that make Fallout much better (I like ambient wasteland, realistic weapon sound) - anymode any weapon widen the range of what you can do, realistic conversation improves the dialogs and Horizon makes more challenging... Of course you are modding the game but this way it improves it.
I really like that fact that you acknowledge that FO:4 is still a good game by many metrics, it's gun play was great, while the weapon modification system while trying to cover for a lack of weapons was very good to many i think blindly bash FO:4 i got WAY more hours in FO:NV don't get me wrong i think NV is the better game out of the two by a unfortunately wide margin but FO:4 is still good for anyone who wants to try any of the Fallout games if they are brand new to the game i would start them with 4 as it's more stable more modern so easier to pick and start playing and the story/world is solidly good enough to keep most people entertained. Then i after they play i tell them to give NV a try and let them know about some of the limitations.

I prefer the voiced MC, but it would be epic if you could choose accents or other speech quirks. This would blow the game's budget, unless the Devs use Ai with a little humanoid quality control on top to polish it a bit.

Nice video but I have to pull you up on 1 point: the *Visuals* ,, ~ 5:16 I'm sorry but that's a *horrible opinion* of yours. Fallout 4 is sharp & gritty - with the emphasis on gritty but has this amazing , almost slapstick cold humour 60's cartoon 'tint' to it. And to this day, _only_ it has managed this. Borderlands tried it but for me it looks cringe & just a straight up cartoon next to the beast that is this game. The ''fatness'' is called literally 'weighty' or 'heft' that lends a robust feel to the items.

Hot take:
Not every Fallout game has to be this big open world game with endless game choices and areas to explore. I don't prefer one of the other, but, linear stories with limited side areas and streamlining the game will allow the Dev's to focus and polish the heart of the game. Some times less is more. The Main story of Fallout 4 had so much potential, but a lot of resources went towards smaller parts of the world and diluted the quality of main and side stories.
Dark Souls is a good example. They show you a lot but don't let you literally explore every corner. The stuff you see can interact with fills your imagination about the unexplorable parts of the world.
They fixed some stuff and they prove it in 76, like: Enemies Variety, Life Quality on Inventory and Building, Dialog System and more places to watch and explore; still, they need to fix the Writing and hopefully it's going to be better.
Hell, I would take anything no matter how simple it is, just give me a good story and good characters.

It's always good to have some kind of retrospective and accept that with all its flaws, Fallout 4 is still a good game.😄
