I’ve been playing this game since splatoon 1, I have some amazing memory’s tied to this game and the community, hope I can make more!!
So, originally a was a semi-professional rainbow six siege player with over 10k hours. But an incredibly toxic community and development team has officially drove me away. I found this gem of a game about six months ago and havn't looked back sense. The gameplay is phenomenal, sweaty yet casual, and most importantly a non-frustrating experience with a great community behind it. I bought a switch specifically for this game and BOTW with nothing else in mind. Looking forward to the testfire hype and the following 2 years of updates, and for the record, I'm giving credit to Dude for saving my sanity. I rarely comment on videos unless there is, in my opinion, something that I have to offer to anyone that reads it. So if your on the fringe of taking a deep dive into this game like I was, It's worth it. Liked. Subscribed. And Dude, genuinely, thank you for this platform. You deserve all the success that comes with it and I'm here to stay.
Haha I got like 1.5k hours on siege and I’m also moving to splatoon
I feel bad playing this game so many kids I hardly ever took l run into anyone better then me when I play other shooters I'm good but never even close to the best in most lobbies. I actually got to x rank using only splat bombs 💣 and my spacial slashdowm.
Splatoon was so much better for my mental health

It was too much to process! I'm so glad nogami listened to their fans because the game looks great. The only things I wanted were a Splatfest premiere and flounder... AND WE GOT IT!

If you pause at just the right second, you can see Dude’s brain melting from the sheer awesomeness of this direct
I think lockers are a really good compromise, it gives us some of that fun design gameplay without the devs having to port ACNH indoor decorating
And it's easier to check them in-between matches. Who wants to go to hundreds of rooms? Would get old quick.

Ever since I got introduced to Splatoon when I was in middle school at 12 I fell in love with how unique this IP was. I never would've dreamed it would get a third installment let alone a second one. The evolution is astounding!

That whole "Don't like her, because large forehead" that also Pearl got strikes me as superficial, especially since Frye seems to be a cute and up-beat bean.

I have a feeling that scissors is gonna win the splat fast bc people love Big man. Also it seems like you can launch the golden eggs out of the Big shots (salmon boss) cannon launcher thing.

Honestly super happy that Nintendo is really stepping up with trying new things out. And in some way I feel like they silently listen to the community. Mushroom Gorge gap jump was unexpected and alot of things announced today was unexpected but wished by people.

This is already so nostalgic, whenever I get frustrated while playing I think about this video and it reminds me how excited we all were for even the mundane stuff
What's hilarious is that the NA tournament announced here apparently wasn't brought up to the teams playing. The teams being invited to pax in like a few weeks had to find out the same time as the public.
Though other than that, this direct was absolutely amazing. So many new and good things are being added, can't wait for the testfire on the 27th and the game on Sep 9th!!

When i first watched the direct, i actually felt underwhelmed. but after watching your reactions to it, got me hyped just by you being so hyped. (along with the twitter announcements on how rank battles work and stuff)

As one of the people who were worried about the game, I can surely confirm that this direct completely calmed down my worries. I'm really satisfied with everything we got and I'm looking forward to playing!

Nintendo heard people calling Splatoon 3, "Splatoon 2.5", so they decided to pull the UNO Reverse Card on everyone

The direct was pretty cool all around, but the only major new change to the game that was revealed is a _splatfest_ mode. In other words, 2 days out of every month we get to play the new mode. Everything else (Bar some of the QOL changes and that new salmon run boss) was something we could extrapolate to already be coming like new weapon types and so on.
It's apparent to me that this is the same situation as Splatoon 2, where it released fairly similar to the first game, and by the 6 month mark had really come into its own. As annoying as the "splatoon 2.5" shit can get, it's not like they've massively overhauled everything either.
@@notrod5341 Tbh Splatoon 2 was more like Splatoon 1.5. This feels like the real sequel to 1
@@notrod5341 no huge overhauls but salmon run has more differences and a bunch of small stuff that add up too. The only disappointment is no new ranked mode on launch.
@@notrod5341 But at that point, the complaint doesn't hold water. What were you expecting from a sequel? We got new maps, new mechanics, new weapons, new specials, a new side mode, changes to existing mechanics, and some other things that I'm probably forgetting.
If all these modifications still make it a ".5" of the last game, what exactly would need to be changed for it to be considered a brand new game?
@@123christianac I'm _not_ complaining. I'm just disagreeing that this direct somehow proves the game is entirely different, because from my perspective it isn't.
Which is why I compared it to 2's launch, which was similarly close to its predecessor despite all the cool new stuff. I even called the 2.5 stuff annoying, so I don't know why you think that's my perspective here.

I was really happy with this direct. Arguably was better than the Splat 2 direct, and I hold that to heart. While I am upset we don’t get X rank and League at start, this direct didn’t disappoint in the slightest! Can’t believe we’re less than a month out.

That was the same for me in splatoon 1 but you never forget your first splatfest experience. I remember mine clear as day matter of fact: It was a night in Haiwaii in september and there was a splatfest going on it was Flight vs invisibility and I actually almost missed this splatfest due to my dad wanting to do some late night exploring whilst i wanted to chill at the hotel and experience my first splatfest ever. Ofc being a kid I got what I wanted and so I played it and it was truly a memorable experience. Sure the fact that i was in a different state and the story behind why I got to play helped me remember but even still you won't forget your first splatfest experience

Bro is splatoon even a game any more because they do so much for the fans. But it's so personal it does not feel like anything fortnite,cod,pubg, or even apex has ever done. It would be so easy to add cosmetics like ,Mario, Samus, and the miis into the game. But no because that's how much they care about the world they made

Battle replays are so cool, sometimes you get some crazy matches like one time i jumped to a guy next to the basket in clam blitz with a full clam and because i did that we won by 1 point
