    You are right. I organize my schedule in the same way. I use time blocking only for work meetings; and setting weekly, monthly and yearly goals. This way I've got an amazing amount of things done in the last two years. And, of course, embrace the chaos! It doesn't help if one becomes upset when things don't flow like planned, the faster way out is to keep calm and reorganize on-the-fly.😉

      Oh thank you for sharing! So intereresting to hear how other people are doing it. Also very happy that you got many things done in the past two years WITHOUT any crazy time blocking practice 😄

    Bias for action I think plays a major role in all that you have mentioned. We have to get started first and then use all the tools you have shared.
    Much appreciated. Thanks a lot.

    I share a similar work structure. Calendars are not for me, tasks are always unpredictable, and procrastrination (which is subconscious creativity) is also quite strong. The only real enemy, as you identified, is "fake work". As Stephen Covey puts it "Urgent / Non Urgent" "Important / Non Important" 2x2 matrix, the highest dopamine happens in Urgent and Non Important and that's where most of us humans live. But it's where fake work happens.

    • @Thuvu5
      @Thuvu5  5 месяцев назад +2

      Oh that's interesting, great to hear. Indeed tasks are often so unpredictable to maintain a neat & back-to-back schedule.

    Super nice to hear your thoughts on embracing chaos 🫶 I am going through the same, sometimes feel stressed and annoyed that I can’t keep up with my schedule and calendar, but anyway always complete the task (following the the way you just described). My everyday just passes the way you described, shallow work in the morning, focused deep work afternoon, and finally after exercise and dinner will have my time for creative work and reading. Thank you so much for sharing this. Now I feel even more positive to do things the way I always do. ❤️

    Thank you for your advice. Yes mental health is important especially working in the field of computer science and information technology. I think a healthy information diet is important to stay in form. We need to have a well balanced appetizing data consumption that is sustainable and sharable. We'll stay motivated like happy rebels! 🤘😊

And I feel like for me personally it would be easier to digest the information from the video if it would be actually separated into couple of videos) Thank you for your work)

      @@Thuvu5Most of top performers, speak of the perspective of young people without kids and elder parents.
      If they continue to be top performers after getting older/maried/having kids usually some or all of the family members are not happy.

    The scene from the movie "Men In Black 3" 2012 when J and K were in the diner, stumped on their case.
    K said "Pie don't work if you don't let it." , comes to mind.
    Meaning distract yourself from the problem you're stuck on for a bit to give your conscious mind a break & let your subconscious mind do the heavy lifting.
    Low and behold, the answer pops into J's head & K gloats, "I told you trust the pie!"
