Good morning Andy! Just a quick note to say that as my "new" role as a senior sysadmin in a corporate setting (spent 20+ years with MSP companies previously), your channel has been really helpful getting up to speed on all things related to MS365. I've not had to stay on top of the tech previously, and now that it's front and center, your videos make learning this stuff a real breeze! Thanks for the really helpful videos, and I liked and subscribed today (also recommended your channel to the group I work with).
Educational as always, cheers! P.S.: If anyone is considering or still using Microsoft Store for Business: stay away from it until the transition phase to the new MSfB is finished in 2023. We've been using MSfB and we still do, but since earlier this year certain functions do not work anymore (such as removing MSfB apps). Had (premium enterprise support level) contact with Microsoft because we started seeing issues (both in Intune and MSfB portal) and they said Microsoft has already dropped support for (the current) MSfB even thought this was scheduled for Q1 2023. Any MSfB bugs you stumble upon now will not be fixed; the only solution is to wait for the new MSfB in 2023. We were negatively surprised by this because due to the current MSfB bugs it's also not possible to phase out your existing MSfB environment anymore, you're going to be stuck with it until at least 2023 :(
I mostly work with micro and small businesses on business licenses. and I'd really love it if MVPs would mention up-front that their videos and or help pages are primarily talking about Enterprise features. You would not believe how many dead ends I end up walking down trying to find solutions for MS365 business licenses. In fact, perhaps you could do a video on the gotchas of running MS365 business. It really is not clear in many cases where Business stops and Enterprise starts. Each MS365 feature has to be researched individually to find where the limitations are. There's no single resource and it's really frustrating trying to do something when the easily searchable advice for Business users is totally swamped out by the Enterprise advice.
I love the fact that Microsoft offers you so many ways to check on the status of your cloud services. You’d think the official status page would show you if there was an outage, but it turns out an outage can still cause the status to register as “normal”, so there is yet *another* page you must check to determine the status of the status page!
First of all, thanks for this video, this looks useful. For the margin: An effort to do it in a developer account, or a real test environment would be appreciated...
Great content Andy :) Question when using Office congifurator , do you have to use this or opt for MEM to deploy via Intune or both enabled? What would be the best practice for small businesses. :) Thx Tim
It creates the configurations the XML file for which you can use on premises, however as this is part of Microsoft 365 it’s typical integrated with InTune and MEM
Hi Andy Absolutely fantastic videos. I am struggling to find a way to export or view a list of all m365 users that includes how much OneDrive storage each user is using Is there such a faculty? Presently only way seems to be viewing individual user OneDrive storage😢 Please advise.
At present there is no UI for this. I’ll bet you you can use power shell to pull off a report. I do know that products like Syskit point and various others👍
Hello :) could you please make a note about what is in the different M365 versions :) i dont have any "all admin centers", and its especially annoying to look for versions above weird translations. Otherwise i slowly get it where what belongs, as being a normal user this is all invisible, not only unaccessible (like in *IX admin tools).
Microsoft 365 shares an as your subscription for Azure active directory. However you may need a separate as a subscription for things like virtual machines etc
The policies you were discussing for Office Installs; are you able to edit these as you go and they will action in real-time, or do you have to create a new policy again if you want to make any changes? I'm assuming it's very much like GPO changes where you can make them as and when you want without issue? Great video as always though.
Hi Andy, Thank you for such an informative video, I would appreciate if you can make a content about Service Trust Portal and privacy at Microsoft 365 in your next video. I tried to search this topic in YT platform but I have not seen any videos yet . Hope you'll consider creating one as I admire your passion and I believe it's going to be good content to watch by everyone who seek knowledge and new insights about it. :)
Hi Andy, thank you so much for this video. I have a question on Defender Secure score and it would be great if you could clarify this. Actually, there are a huge number of recommended actions but not all of the actions are relevant. Is there a a solution to configure automatically the secure score i.e., remove all the recommended actions out of scope and keep only the actions that are relevant to the organisation? I’m asking this question because it is really exhausting to go through all the recommended actions one by one and address them manually. Thanks 😊
Great Sam you can filter the recommendations. Also they pickup recommendations from other Defender products, I.e Defender for Identity etc. These are recommendations only.To automate these you would need the additional Defender for Endpoint and Cloudapps. Or an E 5 and EM&S licensing. Check out docs.Microsoft.com for more.
Better to not advice new users to start using Stream. It’s basically deprecated now and it’s functionality moving to SharePoint videos. It will be axed at some point.
Haven't got college/technical degree, but got 5yrs exp in 1st&2nd Line of Support, got some side projects in previous jobs and now I'm looking for Sysadmin role, registered with my private mail to Azure, you've got 100 or 200 $ signing bonus to spend on their services, I am building VMs, doing some shell work and so on and so forth, so far my interviews going better and better, maybe will have some good news until end of the week. From which country you are, where you would like to work and despite the class, have you got some IT Experience?
Ha hard to find? Try accessing half the items from your partner login account. Nope must login via a tenant GA account and do it within the tenant. What a great security decision that was..
The ongoing charges for Universal Print are overpriced, for something that used to be free with print servers onsite, are now moved into cloud at a cost.....

Hi andy. Who would be the winner of office config and endpoint config profile?
Endpoint manager as it uses these configurations. Unlike most other Microsoft configurations the most restrictive, is the most effective
Excellent video Andy
Thank you 😊👍
Hi, Andy, can an Exchange Online account be included in a group like a Microsoft 365 Business Standard account?
Depends on the license
Hey, Andy, great video as usual. I am not seeing this on the discord.
I know it’s not ready yet. Just a time thing I’m afraid, or the lack of it on my part.soon my friend 👍
@@AndyMaloneMVP You're only one man. Unless you are trying out that cloning thing LOL... I believe the is a discord/youtube integration tool.

If you want to try admin features you try creating a free trial subscription to M365 for 30 days. A great way to learn
This video is for organisation or enterprises company with office 365 enterprises suite with azure subscription is it ?

Although they are NOT GPOs many of the settings are now available. Also intune boasts a GPO analysis tool .

Cannot find Universal Print... Has that been discontinued? Also Thanks for the Video going to check out more
Check your licence. This was an E5 client.

Sounds like another video idea for me eventually 😊
We are watching your video from my class duration. And guide us how can I get job abroad for windows server engineer...

I'm a Mac user :-p
Where is the Universal Print option. We have Microsoft 365 and I don't see that option.
You may not have the right licence.
You need a Windows 10/11 Enterprise subscription
One thing I noticed you are teaching Microsoft lessons and using a MacBook 😂😂❤
Always
I'm sorry but all I can think is what a mess. It shouldn't require memorizing locations and watching videos multiple times to find settings.
I totally agree. But 365 is many different product teams and hundreds of people.
"I m a Mac user"??? Heresay
Doesn’t matter the OS all that matters is your data in the cloud and that it secure and available
