This is how I know the History Channel is worldly. When the Bible miniseries was on that channel they portrayed Jesus as walking into the tomb, kissing an unwrapped Lazarus and whispering for him to come out. I think The Chosen does scriptural scenes very well.

Agreed. I love the way that scene played out.

Since you’ve made several comments on my Chosen videos, I thought you might enjoy this. On my other channel my friends and I discuss the show. What makes it unique is that my cohosts are Jewish. So we have a Jewish viewer’s perspective on the show. Always appreciate your comments. My favorite line is when Lazarus and Jesus are talking and Jesus is trying to make him understand exactly who He is, and after Lazarus quotes Isaiah, he says to Jesus, “They were only words on a scroll, but now … they are about You.” I love that!!

I appreciate you watching as always. I try to review of variety of things to build an audience, but it’s always nice when I get comments from those that have been watching for a while. That really was a great line. I think the whole scene with him and Lazarus is really well done. Both actors play it very well.

    Thank you so much, brother!
What you said about the tomb scene in the end, that is actually what I thought was going to happen lol!
Nevertheless, I loved this episode so much too! Definitely one of my favourites!

Did you notice at the end that the grave clothes were folded? This I feel is a glimpse. Folded anything… cloth napkins etc= I’m not finished I am returning

That’s s not the grave clothes folded. It’s a flat rock, it can also be seen in the scene when Lazarus gets raised. In the closing montage Lazarus has the grave clothes in his hand.

But THIS about Jesus. Simply amazing:
      JESUS IS COMING BACK
Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after his resurrection?
The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes. __ 📖 “Mary Magdalene came to the tomb of Jesus early in the morning and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!' Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other disciple outran Peter and got there first.
He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in. Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side.”📖 - John 20:1-7 ESV __ Was that important? Absolutely! Is it really significant? Yes! In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day.
The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it..The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished.
Now, if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table. The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done'. But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because the folded napkin meant, "I'm Coming Back".
d the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished.

I know alot of Christians like to talk trash about the Chosen but i love how they show the realness in everyone's reactions the bible tells us Jesus cried and that he got angry at times but some Christians are so dull they think making Jesus show the emotions that the Bible talks about is worldly
I truly felt how Thomas felt and the rest of his followers and it truly shows why ppl of that time asked
He healed others but does nothing for his own ?
Some ppl forget that his followers was young boys that didn't understand like how we today don't always understand and get mad and question God

In the event you did not catch Dallas' comment - Episode 8 is NOT going to be aired on Thursday, since, as he put it "two elderly men were debating" that evening. Episode 8 will aired on Sunday at 7pm.

      @Boblovesmovies  16 дней назад +1

Thanks for the heads up. I did catch that and I put a little update that pops up in the video. Had to go back and add it in because I had pre-filmed the intro before the live stream to save some time, but I still ended up getting the video out late lol. It is probably a good idea that they moved the finale because a lot of people do want to watch the debate and the whole point is to release these episodes with a live stream and enjoy them together.

I was pleasantly surprised by it. I have a love-hate relationship when it comes to faith based films or TV shows. You often get a film that’s overly preachy and cheesy or one that’s extremely disrespectful to the source material. Lately the quality of this genre has gotten better and I think this show finds the right balance. It finds a way to deliver its message and tell an entertaining story with compelling characters.
