    • @SB-wh6gy
      @SB-wh6gy Год назад +1

      Actually the fps would be faster not slower. The bc means slugs retain far more velocity and even if they start slower, they end up faster. Get blown off course less and kill better.

  • @SB-wh6gy
    @SB-wh6gy 3 года назад

    Having seen several videos this one included, I don't think the Hades kill big varmints that well. Its not that humane for them to be crawling off badly wounded or get down their holes like that. I would use slugs or powder guns .

    • @dangolwinner
      @dangolwinner  3 года назад +1

      @S B- I would agree with you, that’s why I test different ammo in ballistic gel and in the field. It’s my opinion that a .22 cal slug made from pure lead transfers more energy at 100 yards than a .30 caliber pellet. I have hit Pdogs at 100 yards with both pellets and slugs and after watching the slow motion footage, I can see the shock that is transferred to the animal with the .22 cal slug. There is no shock to the body with a pellet and it would need to be a headshot to drop it on the spot. That being said, I’ve shot Pdogs with .223 powder burners and tore them in half and I’ve still seen them crawl a few feet into their hole.

    • @SB-wh6gy
      @SB-wh6gy 3 года назад

      @@dangolwinner I have shot Magpies with .25 pellets and 50ft lbs energy and they fly 100 yards before dropping. Hitting them with FX slugs they drop on the spot with same chest shot . I am getting a .30 cal Impact 3 sniper and the pellets for corvina I think will work well and slugs if windy or bigger distance.

    • @dangolwinner
      @dangolwinner  2 года назад +1

      @N2 Shooter- I agree. The wind makes it difficult even out to 100 yards. If it was a steady wind it wouldn’t be bad, but gusty wind is hard to be precise in with pellets. Thanks for commenting

    Killing/ hurting animals in nature for no reason except "just for the fun of killing" is what loosers do. These animals are neither pest or invasive.

    • @dangolwinner
      @dangolwinner  3 года назад +2

      @Bert Safor- I was asked, by the property owner, to remove these prairie dogs that have destroyed the land there. They were dumped on the property by a trapping company that thought the land was vacant a few years ago. The alternative to removing them is by poison. The property owner did not want to go that route due to the impact on the native animals that would also die from eating the poisoned animals and the fact that the prairie dogs would suffer a slow painful death by poison. I don’t expect you to understand, but it is not killing for fun. This is a humane way to rid the property of an animal that is not native to this part of the state. I hope that sheds some light on the situation
