President Nelson said to abbreviate the name of the church to The Church of Jesus Christ. He said it is a great victory for the adversary to remove the name of the Savior from His church and use nicknames like LDS Church. Great blessings will accompany our using His Name with His Church.
IS JESUS AND SATAN BROTHERS? In sharp contrast to your Mormon theology, the Biblical witness is clear and convincing: Jesus is the ETERNAL CREATOR GOD (John 1; Colossians 1; Hebrews 1; Revelation 1). Paul explicitly taught that Jesus is the CREATOR of all, including the angelic realm to which Satan belongs (Colossians 1:15; cf. John 1:3). Jesus is thus Satan's Creator, not HIS spirit brother. COLOSSIANS 1:15-16 (NKJV) [Jesus] is the image of the invisible God, the FIRSTBORN over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through HIM and for HIM.
I can tell you are very sincere. But I testify to you that you to are a spiritual brother to both of them. Just like in life you will find families that have a deep love for God ,yet one in the family will choose to go against that which is true. Just because Satan fell and rebelled against Heavenly Father takes nothing from our Saviour who was the only perfect spirit and son of God on earth. We are given agency to choose our course. But we don’t choose the consequences for those choices. GOD DOES. I love our Saviour and so great full for His atonement that He went through so we can receive forgiveness of our sins and shortcomings. receive the resurrection. His grace is such a beautiful gift. carol.
I too try never to refer to the church as LDS or Mormon. If you shorten it maybe at least use the Church of Jesus Christ. Very important for all of to give our Saviour that which we should. Bad habits take a while to get rid of.
