@Neil Cayson thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
This works SO WELL I went on vacation and have worked with these nails and they have not BUDGED. This was better than doing acrylic over natural nails and even regular acrylic sets with glue
If you are reading this at the end of 2022 when I’m just now seeing this video, I HIGHLY recommend using acrylic or dip powder and the nail glue they give you! Put glue all over the nail dip it in the powder put glue on your real nail, put it on and Voilà you have a very similar effect and it lasts forever!
I'm going to try this right now! Everyone tells me how amazing acrylic is to apply false nails but I just can't seem to get it right! Gel doesn't last as long as I would like, polygel sometimes lasts too long, and base coat is really hit or miss especially with space between my nail and the false nail! But acrylic powder and nail glue sounds like a winner and I'm willing to give it a try, I'll be back to let you know how it went lol
I live literally in the middle of nowhere with NO NAIL TECHS anywhere. I tried learning to do acrylics myself but never have the time or money for supplies. Been doing this hack for ages and glad to see I'm not the only one! 😄 It was a lot of trial and error but I did learn something new and that was to apply the acrylic to the press on nail thick to keep them strong. Thanks!
No real trick. Just trial and error for me. I always get ready to swoop the excess acrylic off before it cures. But over time my estimation of how much acrylic I need has gotten better. With proper prep mine will last 2 to 3 weeks.
@@prettyladynyc4967 I haven’t tried this method yet, but I have practiced acrylic for a while now, so I’m going to go ahead and assume the removal process is exactly the same as it would be for normal acrylic nails, acrylic acetone remover on a cotton ball, tin foil or nail clips, let sit for a while, the nail will become gooey, scrape off what u can. Repeat until nails are fully removed
I love this way! With nail glue you can get ugly air bubbles that show through lighter colored nails. And with acrylic you have a few seconds to make sure its adhering straight. I've accidentally glued my nail on crooked with nail glue , lol. Great video!!!
I had this idea because I'm tireeeddd of spending hours on my nails. Even though they come out nice it's like damn I just wanna get this done already lol googled it, saw your video and said "say less!" That's all I needed to see, thank you! 😂
I love doing my press ons like this. I have started using hard gel as an overlay on my natural nails then doing everything you did. Love it!!! Extra protection for my natural nails.
I'm about to do my first set this way because my nails are really not doing well with the acetone soaks and all that goes along with removals. Do you rough up the surface of the hard gel before adding acrylic or do you leave it smooth? And how long do the nails last when done like this?
@@user-kpkxgtj I leave my nails as they are, without filing, just use dehydrator and then base coat before gluing press on with acrylic top - nail glue blend. They'll hold minimum 4 days if I want it or not, but only if I get air bubbles in between. Hold for weeks without air bubbles tho. No damage to natural nail at all.
@@ashleyblackberry8523 1. Brush and clean nails with soap and water, rinse well. 2.Remove / push off cuticle. 3. Rubbing alcohol to dehydrate nails. 4. They are both in a small bottle, just like UV gel polishes, but marketed as "UV base coat", "UV base base", "UV super base", "UV ultra base" etc). 5. Cure bare base coat. 6. Dehydrate your nail again. 7. Apply press ons like you normally do, but by using "Dip system top coat" and "nail glue" mix (by adding one small tube of "nail glue" into "dip system top coat" bottle). BE CAREFUL, because there is a huge chance press ons will hold strong, just like acrylic or gel nail extensions. If they'll hold just like salon extensions, you'll have to file them down in order to remove them, but if you file to a thin layer on press on or file down to the base coat, you can remove those by soaking in acetone, or soaking in warm water, to avoid filing your natural nail.
Wish i could show you my poly gel lazy girl method for my bday! These black nails are gorgeous! And you’d be so proud, in going on 2 weeks with these nails!
I commented already but I have to add this, sinful colors proved to me that I don't have to spend unbearable amounts of money to get beautiful, quality nail polish! The prettiest colors I own are the sinful colors ones and once I discovered them I stopped having to save up to buy one ridiculously priced polish a month and started buying so many sinful colors that when I switched to gel I had enough bottles to keep my young five nieces wearing beautiful polish well into their 30s 😆
YESSSSS I started doing my own nails a couple months ago bc i was sick of spending 50 60$ on acrylic nails and going to the salon i wondered how much it would be if i got ALL the stuff off amazon and did it myself!!! AND ITS CHEAPER it cost me around 150$ 200 on ALL the supplies, so the powder the liquid, tips, the drill, files, the lamp, all the primers and stuff, all the gel polish and all that. and then i did a set, and it literally TOOK ME 2 DAYS!!!!!! 2 DAYS!!!!!!! i did 1 hand and then did my other hand the next day , bc the SMELL of the liquid was SOOOO BAD inside my house i got sick and got a headache and i didnt want my kids smelling all that!!!! SO i had to stop!!!! THEN i said to myself ima just put press on nails on BUT THEY NEVER stay on but 1 DAY!!!!! so i looked up how to do press ons wit acrylic and this came up!!! AND let me tell u EVERYONE BE DOING THIS NOW!!!!!!!!!! everyone is doing this NO LIE!!!!!!! SOOOOOO LETS GOOOOO
I got the products and want to do this too for the 1st time in next weeks or so! I also got a hepa13 air filter to remove the smell of the monomer! I tried all other ways for nails: gel, glue, polygel but they never last. I think the acrylic used this way will be the one for me! lol
The odor was too much for me and affected my mom because it permeated the house so I switched to odorless monomer. It dries slower, but it doesn't have that smell. If the liquid is effecting you that badly and you're worried about the kiddos, you might want to try it.

I'm a little late to this party but I just wanted to say thank you! I saw another video using acrylic to apply false nails but they were putting the bead of acrylic onto the nail but I just can't get it right. This is the first time I've seen the way you do it and I love it. I'm so thankful, I'm really looking forward to my nails maybe staying on for at least the length of time it took me to paint and design them 😆

Learning how to do hair and nails at home. Prices at the Salon can not be justified with the high food, fuel, housing expenses to deal with. Started off with glue. which didn't really last more than a day or two. Now on adhesive tabs with are lasting longer. They become unstable in warm water which is super annoying. These press ons look so cute :D
I'm early and black is my fav color
I tried it and so far so gooooood 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Amazing hack I can't wait to try it!! One concern: How to I get them off after? I think it would hurt to just pry them off. Help?
Soak in acetone
Are you dipping the brush in water first before dipping into the acrylic?
Omg I love this hack!!!🙌🏾❤️
I never thought to use the acrylic to apply nails. Great idea. Do you have to cure the nails under the UV lamp?
No because acryl dries on the air or in contact with air
I always use acrylic for press on nails and like you said they last so much longer I never ever put glue on my nails
How would you take off pre made press on’s? I know gel full tips can be soaked. But I thought plastic couldn’t be soaked. Or are these not plastic? 😮
I love your channel so much and I really hope I can win that polygel kit or the press on nails, my favorite color is pink and pastel and my inspiration comes from every nail youtubers because you guys have taught me so much and also god for always giving me courage. Wow nice way, can you also just use top coat to for press on nails as well?
