you could fit it into a bunch of different signatures but they said that it was set to 6/8 in logic lol
yeah 6/8 is a description that encompasses 4/4 triplets though, if you're worrying about music theory formality you'd describe it as 6/8 but it doesn't matter really

Great track, but Guy didn’t pick up on some serious tuning issues in the bass line, particularly at the end of the phrase where there is some crazy dissonance

Key signature is relative. Notes can stray from a key signature sometimes. The bassline sounds fine to me. Dissonance when used correctly can be neat and add tension/resolve ect.
You can tell what type of sound he was going for in the bassline when he played that, at 1:27:21 Guy adjusts the rhythm and the idea becomes a little clearer. Its a pretty normal trope in this style to have things land in that sort of area harmonically, but for sure it feels a little jarring because the context doesn't really set our ears up to hear that interval there. To me it definitely doesn't seem like a mistake though, listen to the resolution it sets up in that part of the bassline, would it still feel that way if it were a B instead of a C? I think it would take too much personality out, but of course its all opinion anyway, I'm not saying you're not allowed to dislike it :D

They have more free time because of the lockdown. They have to occupy themselves somehow, I wouldn’t call it panicking.
