You're seeing and hearing why Patti is considered by many to be one of the GOATS. The voice and the onstage histrionics are legendary. I've been blessed to see her live on several occasions and the experience was otherworldly. Perhaps there is another singer who gives as much in a performance, but rest assured no one gives more than Patti. Great reaction.
Sarah Dash and Nona Hendrix were with Patti in Bluebelles and later LaBelle in the early 60s into the 70s. They were extremely close as sisters. This was one of their last recorded songs together before she went solo in 1976/77. Patti is a mastermind with her voice. She is creative and vocally adept. She is also a performer that entertains while powerfully vocally delivering unlike any singer ever. Like you, I was born too late. I was born in 82 and there is no artist of my era that could give or bring it like Patti.

Back in the 80s and 90s, Patti's trademarks in her live shows was kicking off her shoes and rolling across the stage (in addition to outrageous hairstyles). She will always been Queen of the Dramatic Live Performance.

The original DYNAMIC DUO!!, Ms. Patti 'BADASS' Labelle and the LATE, GREAT James 'Bud' Ellison. In my opinion, he was the BADDEST musical director.
Patti Labelle is not 'dramatic' or
'extra'. She is on another level. Unlike many singers, Patti Labelle not only hears the music , she FEELS the music. In her live shows, only Bud Ellison voyld do those arrangements.

You asked for Beyoncé in different genres on your “All Night” reaction and since you haven’t done her in a while you definitely have to check out that whole project Lemonade 🍋 a lot of people will say it’s the best project she’s ever put out and it’s definitely top 3 for me. You should listen to the full album in it’s entirety it chronicles the breakdown in her marriage to Jay Z due to infidelity and how they found their way back. She made a visual album for this project as well that’s basically a movie but it really elevates the album because you get the full picture of the story being told. Highly highly recommend checking it out 🔥🔥🔥
