Love, love to cruise. I always have 2 pair of cropped pants, one black and one white. You can dress up or down with either for any dinner. I bring both if I have more than one suitcase or just one it traveling light. We pay for the ship laundry service. And I wear these under arm dress shields, so I can wear a top more than once. Have fun cruising 🚢
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie I’ve had both of my fancy jackets for a few years now. The silver one I got at Christopher and Banks. At Christmas time they tend to have these beautiful silvery very very thin jackets, Or blouses. The gold one I got at Macy’s ( on sale), that one is more of a true jacket 3/4 sleeve but it has these beautiful cut outs were some of its satin fabric and some of it is sheer and you can see through to the top underneath. The whole thing is this more muted beautiful gold color. They’re so thin they pack down to nearly nothing. Sometimes I fold them and just put them on top or other times I use the shirt packing folder and put the jacket in there along with my husbands good white shirt. Love your channel. 👚❤️😎✈️

We also ended up checking our suitcases (so I made sure to pack essential toiletries and an extra outfit in my backpack for the flight there), but all of my stuff (except the weighted blanket - I had a separate bag for that) fit into my school-size backpack and 19"-ish soft-sided carryon suitcase. I tightly rolled my clothes then put them vertically in regular 2-gallon ziplocs by category, squeezed basically all the air out (I don't need a vacuum or special bags to allow me to do this - I've been doing it my whole life), and packed them in my suitcase that way. Everything fit nicely with a fair amount of room to spare - I brought home an additional 4 scarves, pashmina size, and there was still room left over in both backpack and suitcase.

I'm traveling around the world for 6 months using just the smallest Away carry-on suitcase, and now I've decided to include a 7-day Mediterranean cruise in my itinerary! The few outfits I packed when I left 2 months ago will be fine for the ports and on board during the day, but I'm worried about the 2 more formal nights. (I don't even have any shoes that'll be okay for those nights.) I may just decide to eat at the buffet on those nights, because I don't have the budget to pay the prices for what I need in the ship shops, especially since I won't have room for them in my suitcase when I leave the ship.
A long black skirt (hides the tennis shoes) , black-tshirt and a cheap sparkly necklace and you're good to go. For shoes most mediterranean beach resorts will send sparkly sandals for very little money.
A fine weave, light weight, merino jumper, is a wonderful addition to any man's carry-on airline bag. It remains crease free and can be worn under a suit jacket. Phil.
Thank you so much for all of your tips & videos! I'm flying from Canada to Rome, then taking a Mediterranean cruise at the end of June. All of your videos have been extremely helpful, since this is not only my first cruise, but also my first flights in 30 years. Your videos have helped so much with now knowing what to do & what to expect with the airport process as well as how to pack. Thanks to you, I'm able to go carry-on only. Keep up the amazing work Laurie, it is appreciated more than you know.
At 5’3” maxi skirts are almost always too long. So what I do is if I want to wear as a skirt wedge sandals or pull it up and safety pin to a strapless bra and then knot a button up shirt over it to hide the pins and to “belt” it at your waist. I have even worn this to work and all the ladies said I love your dress!!!
Great tips Laurie! I no longer wear shorts, but do wear dresses. As I have T Rex arms, the 3/4 sleeves are great for me. I've always packed a black dress & pearls for every river cruise & my one cruise on the QM2 (where I met Miss Jane Russell) I was a size 6 then, so packing was easier. Now in a size 8, but still follow the same rules. With all your great shares I'll have to shop for a few additions to my capsule wardrobe. Thank you again for sharing~
I just discovered Lee jeans flex motion jeans, perfect for a cruise. The waste has a little stretch so it grows with you. I plan on getting the capris as well. Walmart here sells the shorts with the flex to go waste.
Very helpful tips ✌🏻I always choose a color palette for my travels, it’s so helpful. Most of the time I choose 4 colors, 2 or 3 neutrals and it’s all matching 🤓 If I go to a cruise I would wear a solid silk dress in black and/or a vibrant color on the dining event. Silk is so packable and elegant 🤩
I just came home from a 2 week Viking River Cruise. I had a free checked bag, but I used several of your tips. I am short and the foot sling made it easier to sleep on our overnight flight to Heathrow airport. I packed 2 outfits in my carryon in case my luggage was lost. I put soft clothes in a silk pillowcase and used it as a pillow or armrest . I put it on my fold down tray, i I also used it as a lumbar pillow at one point. I had very few pieces that I did not wear.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie the weather was perfect. It did rain our last day. I toured the Parliament House in Budapest and had lunch at a restaurant that had a museum in the basement. It was a fabulous trip worth the 3 year wait.
Very timely for me. In less than a week I'm cruising for 28 days to Hawaii and Alaska. I'm stuggling with the packing for 2 climates! Thanks for the tips!
I loved your video. As a retired office manager, I enjoy the opportunity to dress up a bit, and the cruise is the perfect setting. To some extent, I mix and match .
I've taken several Alaska cruises and you need to be prepared for hot, cold and rainy days. A cashmere sweater with a scarf is perfect for cold. Definitely bring a packable, rain proof wind breaker with a hood. Layer the sweater, scarf and rain jacket and you will be warm. Don't forget to bring a pair of gloves, a hat(packable) and a couple pair of socks. You will enjoy your trip more if you are prepared.
Oh my goodness such great tips and a lot of them. Thanks so much. We’re headed out on a cruise to the Mediterranean and I’m packing a couple of golf skorts which add a dress/casual look on some church-type excursions. Love your site. It makes my travel life easier. Thanks!
As a side note, the churches etc. you'll be going to may or may not have this rule (might be worth it for you to check, just in case), but many churches and museums in Europe have a rule where knees (and shoulders) have to be covered in order to enter, and the ones that have that rule do enforce it. Thought I'd mention that, just in case it's something you run into.
Favorite travel pants are by All in Motion from Target . They have jogger cargo pants that are a light material. It’s a stretch woven material . They pack nice , don’t wrinkle and can be dressed up or down .
Laurie...have a glorious time on your cruise. I went on a cruise in January and only packed one dress for formal night but wore it for both formal nights. No one even noticed, not even my hubby :-) Packing light was essential to me.
I am bringing 5 yoga type dresses, 2 pairs of quick drying shorts, a few quick drying tops, tee shirts and 2 sandals and 1 pair of sneakers, after the cruise I am going to a colder climate so I have to pack 3 pairs of pants, I am wearing the heavy stuff on the plane an all weather spring coat with a cardigan underneath and yoga pants, which will be my gym pants on the ship, I pack as light as possible and will wash stuff out in the sink, so I bring a lot of quick drying clothing
Laurie, great cruise outfits and matching ideas. We have two more cruises coming up in just a few months. Just like on the airplane, the ship keeps the dining rooms and theater areas cold to lessen getting sick (sea or air) and the smell traveling within the enclosed area. But make sure the sleeves don't drag in your dinner. Have a great cruise. Love the Army Ranger roll.
Thank you for the fashion advice. I'm going on my first cruise in April. I watched your flying tips videos last year for my Arizona trip. So happy you have cruise tips!
Hi Laurie! We just got back from our trip across the country for our daughters wedding. Just my tips: pack your special wedding clothes in your carry on bag and check a big bag with the rest of your stuff. That way if they lose your checked bag you still have your important dress clothes with you.
Great tips Laurie ! We just came back from a cruise.I really tried to think ahead this time and not overpack clothes or shoes ! Your tips are perfect for that !
Wonderful tips as always Laurie, thanks! First, being a “woman of a certain age,” I absolutely wear tees with 3/4 length sleeves-J.Jill has my number! The cruise line I prefer doesn’t have formal nights (thank heavens) & the dress code in the restaurants is dress casual which is basically no dungarees or flip flops. I do follow a navy color scheme & have coordinating tunics w/leggings & ballet flats for restaurant nights. I’ll be cruising the British Isles in June w/a mixture of hiking (Scotland!) & city excursions in changeable weather so versatile layers are a must: it CAN be done. Thanks to you & your great tips I’ll be packing efficiently & have room in my suitcase for those all-important souvenirs. I hope you & your family have a great time on your cruise!
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie I bought Merrell Siren3 Waterproof hiker/sneakers which I’ll wear on the plane; I’ll pack my Sofft Somers Slip Ons for city wear/casual sea days onboard & Dansko Fawna Mary Janes (flats, not clogs!) in pewter for restaurant nights. My feet need support!
Hi Laurie, I really like the macrame style bag you showed. You noted that it is only a wristlet. A quick trip to your nearest JoAnns or other fabric store and you can purchase some nice looking cording to use as a strap! No sewing machine needed, just some thicker thread and a needle! I've done this with my bags, sometimes when I just don't like the strap. Happy Travels!
Love, love your tips and videos. I’ve put many in practice. Can you share some wardrobe packing tips your husband employs, say not when in uniform. Specifically, cruising. Thanks!
Thank you for demonstrating how to put together so many great outfits for cruise travel. I'm on a cruise in 24 days and am trying not to over pack. Mix and match outfits are perfect!
Fantastic video! I love all of your suggestions especially when it comes to not having to pack as much as I usually do. It will be great because I get free laundry service on my next cruise.
I bought those cream sandals with that small heel and they’re the most comfortable shoes. I have worn in a long time. Thank you so much for that. I think they were Sam Edelman’s.😊 I would love to have them in every color…❤
Interesting video but I wear dressier clothing all the time than what you are suggesting. After taking 30+ cruises I've learned that elegant looking outfits "that fit" (that's the important secret) doesn't increase the amount of clothing I need to pack. I just feel so much better in something stylish, the sloppy worn out looking clothes are a big negative! Notice how the Crew and other passengers relate to you.... Suggesting cut off shorts is fine if you're young and in great shape, same thing for tiny, short and tight dresses, but we all have seen women in their 70s trying to wear that look and they are often very overweight too, OUCH! Classics work for me in all situations.
Hey my new friend. You are so awesome! I'm about to fly for the first time and cruise for the first time. You've helped me so much. I appreciate you so much! Thank you, keep up the great work! 👍
I love all these ideas. I tend to over pack and end up wearing the same few pieces on my cruises. I’m trying to only pack 3 shoes on the next cruise. Thanks for the inspiration 😊
Perfect timing, , we were just talking yesterday about going on a cruise! First cruise I went on years ago, I took so many clothes, only to find out that the closet was the size of a bread box!😜Thank you
I loved this! We're leaving in three weeks for our first cruise in over 10 years, and so much has changed in that time, your videos are invaluable!!! If I packed everything I want to take, I would need a steamer trunk! This video has helped me to pare down! (We'll see what ends up making the cut in three weeks!) 😁
Going to Alaska at the end of April. Taking black pants and a multitude of black and white shirts that mix and match. Great tips. Going to check out my jewelry. Might be the gold ones.
We're going on a ten day British Isles NCL cruise in mid May so have to contend with rain and chillier weather than we have here in the SC Lowcountry. Plus we're doing tattoo days in London prior to the cruise. My mom, my husband, son, and I are looking forward to it but ten days in a cabin with my mom while my husband is in the other cabin with my son will be tough. We purchased the thermal suite pass to have a place to talk at from the other two!
Have a great time on your cruise! back from out first post covid cruise 3 weeks now and I want to go again!! We left in a snowstorm and came back to cold but had to bring warm weather clothes too!
Great video and always great suggestions… I believe I’m going to purchase the Ecco tennis shoes just like yours. My goal is to travel to Sicily by the end of the year. I understand if you wear white tennis shoes in Italy you stand out like a tourist which I want to keep that at a minimum 😀 🤗🥰 Thank you 😊
Sounds great! I am debating getting the matte colored ones. I do not like that they are so shiny, but you don't really notice when I wear jeans or green pants. Hope you have a great trip!!! Beautiful country.
My favorite top on my last cruise (in the winter) was a 3/4 sleeve, scoop neck, gold tee. I dressed it up with gold jewelry and black pants and dressed it down with jeans and a animal print scarf.
I think a skort helps in packing. Can be worn very casual and also looks like a short skirt for night time. I bring a solid black and one with a print. Let’s have some fun😻
Love so many of these outfits! My fav is the v-neck sweater, so versatile * love the details on the bottom! Thanks for the great ideas once again. We'll be cruising in summer and then in Jan - so I'll use the sweater then.
Laurie, you mentioned your mil went on a river cruise. I'll be going this month (Danube-8 days) still chilly. Got the black short booties and gray slip ons! Thinking of black, denim and gray pants with black and gray tops. My question: since no where to wash out clothes, how many pants and tops. We're bringing only carry on with our personal back-packs.
This is off topic, but i have a TSA question about using a colored velcro strap to keep my luggage secure and identifiable. I have solid black luggage. I cant find anything on the TSA website.
Laurie, just wanted to share maybe a new trend for TSA. Just flew round trip domestically and both airports we did not have to take out anything out of our carryons to put in the grey bins (except shoes and belts of course.) I personally think it makes the xray process longer but it's a little more convenient.
Hey there. The inside is bright blue! There is a place in the bottom for a cooler or shoes, etc but I unzip it so I can just use the whole bag. You get 10% off with code Laurietips: bit.ly/ToteBagDiscount But let me know if you want to see a video about it.
My husband and I always make an effort to dress beautifully every night for dinner. It bothers me when other diners don’t make an effort in the main dining room. Go to the Buffett!
We’re going on a Norwegian fjords cruise out of Southampton and we’re packing in layers. Your videos have helped so much, I appreciate them. We’re flying to London out of Houston on United airlines not sure who your husband works for but maybe he’ll be our pilot 😉 if it’s UA! Thank you again for all your travel tips.
Oh cool! We bought tickets to Kauai on united and the new entertainment system was so cool! They give you wired buds or you can use your phone. Have a great trip.
I loved this video ( and because it’s long) specially that I’ll be traveling to LA God willing, nice ideas I’ll check d 3/4 sleeve white shirt looks beautiful & d gingham swimsuit gorgeous few years ago I bought 1 similar in pink from j crew love it. Thank you Laurie 😊
I’d love a vid on dressy shoes with closed toes (years of steel toed shoes have done a number on my toenails and they’ll probably never recover). I’m going to mackinac island (staying on the island) in June for the lilac festival and I know I need a dressy look for a grand hotel dinner.
Personally, I wear flats, which are available in several colors from completely plain and matte to cloth with quilted pattern to patent leather with super fancy deco on the toes, from wide rounded toes to really pointed toes, and everything in between - just depends what you're looking for. If you want to wear socks with them but don't want them to show, they make no-show socks that are designed to be worn with flats (I got a 3-pack at Walmart for 7 or 8 bucks, so they're readily available for not too much - I've been wearing the same pair for 4 years (4 years later, Walmart still carries them) and they're still holding up perfectly fine).
@@SnowySpiritRuby my whole foot is very wide, not just my toe area. I find mens shoes are a better fit because overall the shoe is roomier. Unfortunately they don’t make mens flats/heels (or if they do, they aren’t affordable)
@@livelongandprospermary8796 Some brands of close-toed barefoot shoes are decently affordable (at least compared to the shoes in this video) - maybe check into those?
I LOVE these based on the heel. It looks solid and maybe not too high for you. And I would not wear hose. I have a video called the best travel shoes that also explains to not wear a shoe that cuts across your foot. And I also mention going skin-toned to elongate your leg. Here they are: bit.ly/3DRXGU9
Thank you for all the great tips. I have a question about cruise ship weather and onboard temps. I’ll be leaving this Sunday 1/21/24 for 7 days on the Regal Princess out of Galveston. I can see the forecast for Galveston, but don’t know where to find a weather forecast for the other 5 days. We’ll be at sea the first 2 days on our way to Costa Maya, Belize, and Cozumel; then back at sea one more day returning to Galveston early Sunday morning 1/28/24. And, will we cold natured gals need a wrap in the evening for dining, lounge shows, or other indoor activities on the ship? I get wound up trying to figure out how to pack light without shivering on this tropical Mexico cruise. Any advice?🤷🏻♀️🌬️🧊🥶 ⛈️🌤️☀️🏝️???
I hear ya! I would def pack a black cardigan to wear casually on Sunday if still cold in Galveston but can look dressy enough if wearing it with a dress on the cruise. Or just a hoodie!
Thank you for another great video. From your suggestions, I always end up ordering a few items. Question: You mentioned that the viewer, Janet, sent you the photo of the two silver gray poncho light-weight pullovers. Do you know the brands and websites fot them?
Hi there can you help me find your bags and shies for wide feet with ankle problem and clothes thank you oh and outerwear and coats and rain jackets and warm weather to cold and cold to warm
question about former video: Travel pillow you said attached to belt loop or backpack/ carry-on. Does this count as an additional item? Count as a carry-on or personal item? Thanks in advance.

I love those travel hacks! Did you have wonderful weather? Friends just got back from the Danube and had lovely weather.
Sarah Murdoch does a packing video for this kind of different climates (Rome & Iceland), check her out 🤗
Oh wow, that would be so hard! Thin layers! Have so much fun!
I loved your video. As a retired office manager, I enjoy the opportunity to dress up a bit, and the cruise is the perfect setting. To some extent, I mix and match .
I totally agree! If you have the room, dress it up!
My cruise is in 57 days this was perfect thank you 😊
Have a gorgeous time sailing!
I would love to do an Alaskan cruise.
Oh my goodness such great tips and a lot of them. Thanks so much. We’re headed out on a cruise to the Mediterranean and I’m packing a couple of golf skorts which add a dress/casual look on some church-type excursions. Love your site. It makes my travel life easier. Thanks!
Great ideas!! Have a beautiful time.
Ooh thanks so much!
Merino Wool is also good. It keeps you warm in cool weather and cool in the summer time.
Laurie...have a glorious time on your cruise. I went on a cruise in January and only packed one dress for formal night but wore it for both formal nights. No one even noticed, not even my hubby :-) Packing light was essential to me.
It's so nice to not have to pack too many things.
So true!!! After getting a lot of sun it’s so cold going into a freezing auditorium or restaurant
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie It's unbelievable how cold it can be walking around the decks after dinner with the ship moving.
Thank you for the fashion advice. I'm going on my first cruise in April. I watched your flying tips videos last year for my Arizona trip. So happy you have cruise tips!
Good luck!!
Thank you!@@TravelTipsbyLaurie
I LOVE cashmere sweaters. I especially like 3/4 length sleeves.
My parents are planning to go on a cruise for their anniversary in August 👍🏾👍🏾
Nice!
Thanks so much for this! We leave in 6 days for our first cruise since Covid and you gave me some great ideas!!
Oh have a wonderful time!
Hi Laurie! We just got back from our trip across the country for our daughters wedding. Just my tips: pack your special wedding clothes in your carry on bag and check a big bag with the rest of your stuff. That way if they lose your checked bag you still have your important dress clothes with you.
So true! Be in control of the essentials at all time!
Great ideas. Pretty much all we do is cruising. TFS
Great video,thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Great tips Laurie ! We just came back from a cruise.I really tried to think ahead this time and not overpack clothes or shoes ! Your tips are perfect for that !
I'm so glad!
Oh yes, so what shoes did you decide on?
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie I bought Merrell Siren3 Waterproof hiker/sneakers which I’ll wear on the plane; I’ll pack my Sofft Somers Slip Ons for city wear/casual sea days onboard & Dansko Fawna Mary Janes (flats, not clogs!) in pewter for restaurant nights. My feet need support!
@@robinps52 It's great that you showed a list for people. I hope you have a wonderful time!!!
I have been watching you for years so helpful always
I appreciate that!
Great tips as always Laurie! Love how you show pics to mix & match to make different outfits , great help to us who need visuals .
Thanks so much Anne.
Love, love your tips and videos. I’ve put many in practice. Can you share some wardrobe packing tips your husband employs, say not when in uniform. Specifically, cruising. Thanks!
Great idea!! I do have a video called Packing tips for men and one called pack like a pilot maybe and one about what men pack for Europe.
Thank you for demonstrating how to put together so many great outfits for cruise travel. I'm on a cruise in 24 days and am trying not to over pack. Mix and match outfits are perfect!
Yes packing outfits that can coordinate with other pieces helps so much!
Really cute stuff, thanks!
Thanks for all the great tips and links!
You bet! I hope you’re inspired for creative or less travel outfits.
We loved your very informative fun exciting long video! Enjoy your cruise!
Thank you!!
Fantastic video! I love all of your suggestions especially when it comes to not having to pack as much as I usually do. It will be great because I get free laundry service on my next cruise.
Oh that will be a gift!
I bought those cream sandals with that small heel and they’re the most comfortable shoes. I have worn in a long time. Thank you so much for that. I think they were Sam Edelman’s.😊 I would love to have them in every color…❤
Yes, I do not feel super dressy in them either which is great. Steve Madden is 100%!
Perfect timing! I have 43 days until my next cruise!
So exciting! Happy for ya.
Hi! Do you have a video about taking care of customs forms during this Covid time ?
Yay, I am so glad you have found outfits that fit you and your personality and style. Have a great trip. I am so glad we are cruising again!
All great ideas! My cruise is in a month and I will try to bring less clothes this time. I have a tendency to over pack. Wish me luck. ☺️
You can do it!!
@@SnowySpiritRuby Thanks for your vote of confidence! 😊
Yay, have fun. Check the weather and activities then make that list.
I have those nude Steve Madden sandals and love them. I wear them all the time to work and am on my feet a lot.
Thanks 🙏 always appreciate your suggestions & tips. Don’t mind if your videos are longer. You make them fun & delightful.
So nice of you!
Hey my new friend. You are so awesome! I'm about to fly for the first time and cruise for the first time. You've helped me so much. I appreciate you so much! Thank you, keep up the great work! 👍
Just seeing this. How was your cruise?
Hi Laurie! I so appreciate this video since I will be on a cruise in just a few weeks. Great packing tips! Enjoy your cruise!
OOH, have a wonderful time!
I’m so excited! My husband and I will be taking our long awaited honeymoon cruise in October.
EEEEEEK Sparkle and maybe you'll win the Newlywed game
Hi Laurie. I'm leaving in a few weeks on a cruise. I love your style. Always great ideas for outfits.
Have fun!
I love all these ideas. I tend to over pack and end up wearing the same few pieces on my cruises. I’m trying to only pack 3 shoes on the next cruise. Thanks for the inspiration 😊
It will help you so much!
Really enjoyed this vlog......cruising is our main holiday mode as we are getting older x
I'm so glad people get to cruise again.
Perfect timing, , we were just talking yesterday about going on a cruise! First cruise I went on years ago, I took so many clothes, only to find out that the closet was the size of a bread box!😜Thank you
Yes, they're so small. Someone mentioned that if you bring 3 suitcases, you've gotta store them somewhere in that tiny room.
There ya go! So easy.
Yes, that'll be tough. Y'all should have some dates with just you two. And packing thin layers is key. So beautiful it'll be!
So many great examples! Putting these to good use this summer.
I'm so happy you get to cruise again.
Have a great time on your cruise! back from out first post covid cruise 3 weeks now and I want to go again!! We left in a snowstorm and came back to cold but had to bring warm weather clothes too!
It's so very nice isn't it?!
Looking forward to a Rhine River cruise that we rescheduled 3 times!!! So enjoy your suggestions for traveling😊
Hope you enjoy it! It's on my bucket list.
I think you’d be great on the Home Shopping Network!🎉I love your enthusiasm!
Whew! You would laugh at how many times I have to repeat lines b/c I mess them up lol. But thank you!
My favorite top on my last cruise (in the winter) was a 3/4 sleeve, scoop neck, gold tee. I dressed it up with gold jewelry and black pants and dressed it down with jeans and a animal print scarf.
Ooh that sounds versatile for travel!!
I think a skort helps in packing. Can be worn very casual and also looks like a short skirt for night time. I bring a solid black and one with a print. Let’s have some fun😻
Totally great tip! I have one from Walmart that is very comfortable-Lee brand.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie Chicos, Athleta!
I love the white shirt and your dog!!
Super helpful, thanks!
Glad to hear it!
HM has great white jeans
Lovely ideas Laurie, you make me what to buy a cruise vacation 😅
Let’s go to Cabo!!
Love so many of these outfits! My fav is the v-neck sweater, so versatile * love the details on the bottom! Thanks for the great ideas once again. We'll be cruising in summer and then in Jan - so I'll use the sweater then.
So wonderful! I went shopping yesterday and did not find a thing!
You are costing me money girl! Just ordered that blue tanktenee and and another style in black-my go to color. Thinking about the sandals too!❤
Good luck!! The slide on sandals are Madden dupes. I really liked the bathing suit. Will use it in 3 weeks.
Great video!! Plan to use your outfit ideas as birthday gift suggestions for the husband :)
Yay! Thank you!
I would pack 2 maybe 3 pants and you'll also have the ones you wear in the airplane. Then 6 tops? Have a lovely time!
I love your channel and all of your videos! Have a great time on your cruise! Bon voyage! 🚢
Thank you! You too!
This is off topic, but i have a TSA question about using a colored velcro strap to keep my luggage secure and identifiable. I have solid black luggage. I cant find anything on the TSA website.
We use the luggage straps for our large bags and have never had a problem.
It is allowed. People also put a piece of blue tape on 2 sides to identify it easily too.
I have used a colorful cloth ribbon and knotted it on.
Laurie, just wanted to share maybe a new trend for TSA. Just flew round trip domestically and both airports we did not have to take out anything out of our carryons to put in the grey bins (except shoes and belts of course.) I personally think it makes the xray process longer but it's a little more convenient.
HI, yes, I love it when that happens. It's just not consistent and has happened the entire last year lol. But we are ready.
Great tips, we have a 16 day Alaska to Hawaii trip coming up. Would love tips for diverse weather conditions
Oh how beautiful! Here is a video that may give you ideas-thin layers: bit.ly/PackingTipsWinter
Your hair is so cute!
Thanks so much!
Love your videos no matter what length! Great tips and cute dog! 😃
Thank you Kris!
Going on my cruise at end of April...taking your advice
Hope it helps you pack outfits that are comfy and versatile.
I always overpack
Love all your ideas!
Love your videos. Can you tell me the brand of the black tote behind you.?
Hey there. The inside is bright blue! There is a place in the bottom for a cooler or shoes, etc but I unzip it so I can just use the whole bag. You get 10% off with code Laurietips: bit.ly/ToteBagDiscount But let me know if you want to see a video about it.
Beautiful 💓🇨🇦thanks
Enjoy your cruise! We are sailing out of Galveston on the Dream on the 9th!
Ahhhhh so magical!
Love your videos! I chuckle out loud when I see the family picture with your son hiding his face!!!
Me to-everytime!!
too
Laurie, would you pack the same for a cruisetour as well? I am doing a 10 day land tour then meet ship in Rome.
I would pack my sneakers because of the cement roads. How magical. I would also invest in having my laundry done once! Have a beautiful time!
Thank you
Great video! Have a wonderful cruise
Thanks so much!
Don't even know what size jean I wear but need jeans what tops go with jeans
I loved this video ( and because it’s long) specially that I’ll be traveling to LA God willing, nice ideas I’ll check d 3/4 sleeve white shirt looks beautiful & d gingham swimsuit gorgeous few years ago I bought 1 similar in pink from j crew love it. Thank you Laurie 😊
I love a non-see-through shirt. I think I could've sized down but it's fine.
So happy you posted this! We will be cruising in September and I'm so excited. I've missed cruising. This will be I think my 12th cruise. Can't wait.
Ahhh I'm so glad they are still in business!
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie Me too! Hoping everything stays the way it is right now, though i will still bring masks and take precutions.
Where did you get your shirt you are wearing in this video
Here is the new one b/c that was gone: bit.ly/3wGTeW7
Hi I do not.

question about former video: Travel pillow you said attached to belt loop or backpack/ carry-on. Does this count as an additional item? Count as a carry-on or personal item? Thanks in advance.
