NOT ANY MORE....Apparently hobby zone's idea of Ready-To-Fly has changed. For 199.99 you are ALMOST Ready-To-Fly, you do NOT get the li-po battery or its charger those are sold separately, also they don't seem to answer email questions anymore.
Harold, Nice video, but a couple zingers: 1)You referred to the AeroScout as a 1.5 meter airplane, but it is only a 1.1 meter plane. 2)When connecting the "Y" to the aileron servos, you were concerned about the aileron servo leads not being identified left or right. It took me about 30 years to learn this, but there's no wrong way to connect a "Y". A "Y" simply provides the identical command signal to the two servos. The opposite aileron movement is achieved solely by the mechanical arrangement of the servos. To confirm, visualize a clockwise rotation of the two servos, and note that each aileron moves opposite to the other.
Good catch, I did not realize I said 1.5M. Must have been thinking about my original Timber, which I purchased at about the same time. That is probably why I was also a bit confused about the aileron leads; the Timber also has flaps and lights, so everything is marked. I appreciate your input!
It is easy to assemble, small enough to fit in most cars, and easy to learn. I use it to practice on higher levels (with SAFE off) - although I have crashed it twice, requiring replacing the fuselage and canopy. Both times were pilot error (got too cocky).
Glad you enjoyed. I flew the AeroScout last night, I still have it bound to the DXe. I have a Spektrum DX8 (you can check out the unboxing video on my channel for additional info) which I have bound to the eFlite Timber (which I also flew last night) and a couple other planes and quads. The DXe can only bind to one RC at a time, the DX8 can hold 250 separate models. I have not used the DXe and DX8 in "buddy box" configuration, but I may still do so on other RCs. Thanks!
Jack-Of-All thank you the response. I also flew my AeroScout with the Dxe for the first time. I tried to bind the Dxe to another old spektrum receiver but didn’t work. I was worried that I had messed up the settings in the AeroScout. I am going to get a Dx8e with a 637 receiver.
In addition to the AeroScout, I have a Timber 1.5M which I love, a P-39 Airacobra and P-17 Biplane (both of which are rather above my skill level, but I am working on it, lol, I have only been flying fixed-wing for about a year). I also just received the Mini Convergence, which can be flown as a tri-copter and an airplane (I have a knock off version as well, the XK X450). I also have several quads. How about you?

I’m thinking about getting one of these. Looks like a nice simple plane. Thanks for the video.
It's fun to fly and a good plane to get you started!
yeah right or left and the nose wheel was an allen not a Phillips like the instructions said

Pretty quick assembly

Hi very useful. Did you bind this to another Spektrum receiver and fly your eflite? Thanks.

That’s a cool plane
Awesome plane and great info also what planes do you have
