When in balboa Park, be sure to cross Park Blvd. to see the rose garden and the large succulent garden. And, when in the Botanical Building, do not touch the flowers, as these people did.
This was Soooooooooooo fun :) As you know (or mabie not haha) IThis is my stomping grounds so super neat to see you (my favorite little traveling couple :) having fun here. I grew up playing in Balboa park and surrounding areas , lived and worked at those beautiful beaches while attending college and been everywhere you show,,,,,,, except the swing!!! Going to have to find that ;) i left this area for a few years to grow up in the mountains (Idyllwild :) You might take trip up there it's gorgeous and they are lacking 'tourists' because the roads have been washed out and so the detours have cut their business. Anyway, keep enjoying. Glad the weather is somewhat cooperating. :)

We used to always have him on a leash, but he has a medical condition which effects his back legs so he never runs off anymore. We have a carrying case that looks like a mesh duffel bag. I wish I knew the brand, but we got it at a thrift store so unfortunately I do not. As for knowing when it's safe enough to let him out, it's hard to give a simple answer to that question. We have to judge every location on a case by case basis and trust our gut. We definitely always prefer that there are not many people around.
Golden Chopsticks in National City is a must stop . The salt and pepper wings are so delicious.
