Funny story: I got stuck in an mri machine not for being fat but I’m a tall American getting a checkup in China. Doctor had to reset me, put me back in then help pull me out. I was scared 😂

As a Canadian, the Canadian health care joke actually made me mad.
My sister's pregnant, and a few days ago there was some unexpected bleeding, and the hospital basically kicked her out after like 2 hours. "Stay for 5 days" my gluteus maximus.
I follow a couple of Canadian RUclipsrs for different things the one I follow for Pokemon stuff he does a lot of playthroughs with only one Pokemon and he's had a lot of medical problems lately and usually at the end of his videos he'll post an update about his medical situation and he's like yeah I'm Canadian which means free healthcare in quotations but you still pay for certain things it's not like everything is free that has to do with your health he doesn't pay to go to the hospital or to the doctor's office but if they give him any sort of treatment and he sort of prescription he has to pay for that and he's taking two ambulances fairly recently the one he got the bill within 2 weeks the next one was before he got the bill for the first one that was a month ago he still hasn't gotten the f****** bill

lol your sister actually got to use the ER and isn’t financially ruined, unlike in the US. I’ve several Canadian relatives who had extensive medical problems and the waiting was the same or less than the US and they actually received quality care.
@@brandibastian4193 in Canada you typically pay for your medications and dentistry. But there are private and public options for coverage on both and it’s not worse than the US.
I work in a Dr's Surgery in the UK.
We have had a few patients referred to the zoo for an MRI Scan as they couldn't fit in the Machine!
2:39 I'm from Canada and Doctor ER is right and wrong about our Healthcare. It's true that we have universal healthcare but it's not necessarily free for those without an OHIP card if you go to see a Doctor at a walk-in clinic however it's cheaper than the hundreds of dollars Americans spend to see a Doctor. For those who don't know OHIP stands for "Ontario Health Insurance Plan" better known as a Health Card which is green with a Trillium which is our national flower, our Ontario drivers license is blue also with a Trillium and our Photo ID card is purple which is a form of ID for those without a driver's license whether it's because they choose not to drive due to medical reasons or you can't afford it and again it has a Trillium.
So do I need an OHIP to get free healthcare in BC? (Don't mind me, just being a smartass).
My wife is a doctor, we have coverage through her work and I had to wait 9 months to see a Neurologist here in the US. I’ve several Canadian relatives who have had extensive medical problems and I can safely say the whole “You need to wait longer” thing is a *MYTH*.

Nuclear/radiation accidents now always make me think of Hisashi Ouchi, who was exposed to an exceptionally high level of radiation and was hospitalized for 83 days before succumbing to his injuries. The channel Peaked Interest has a good video about it; it's very interesting but also rather tragic.
The most interesting thing for me was that his body was still trying to heal even though it was in such awful shape.

What people dont realize is a lot of things still have to be paid for in Canada. I have to pay for most of my cancer medications and a lot of my medical supplies. If i didnt have my mom i couldn't do it. Im on disability in a wheelchair with 5 cancers. None of my CPAP supplies are covered. So no such thing of completely free healthcare.

Canada has universal healthcare. You'll also wait 4 years for needed surgery. It's not all roses.
Americans have to wait for needed surgeries, too. From availability to saving up for the cost. Any way you slice it, universal healthcare should be a right.
Massive debt does affect health in many ways.
@kyuofcosmic I have never heard of anyone having to wait. At least not that long. Maybe a couple weeks. If it was critical, than it could be done as soon as a few hours.
I’ve had so many MRI’s in my life. They are so much more accurate than EEG’s, but doctors don’t want to use them, because of the expensive equipment :/

The "free" health care. I remdmber a show where one guy had a medical event, had t ok be medivaced by helicopter. Ended up with CA$12,000 of debt. I guess the health coverage doesn't cover medical transport.
You know, I had to do an MRI back in May cause I had seizures starting my senior year in high school, however, I haven't had one since 2018. Anyway, my MRI went so well that I was so steady that they said I was the best patient they had.
As a Canadian, healthcare sure as hell isn’t all free. OHIP only covers so much mainly medications which can be extremely expensive! It also doesn’t cover alternative treatments most times like physio. Timing as you said is also an issue. Friend of mine moved to the states, her family there has good insurance and she says she’s never had such good healthcare. Point is, there are issues in both systems.
Definitely positive and negatives to any system.
Obviously, I would put the vaccination system at 80/20 in favor of the Citizen.
Then Cana has the M A I D..program you get to be put down like an animal..euthanizing people that have no quality of life..that has a terminal illness..like cancer and Alzheimer's ..anyone with a disability elderly people.. people that make under $1,000 a month.. guess what it's on the back burner of the United States to it's called Agenda 21 depopulation of people you don't believe me look into it yourself

As a Canadian, I'll say universal Healthcare should be everywhere. We think it's absolutely atrocious and disgusting that Americans go bankrupt over going to the hospital. It should never be like that when literally 12% of the Americans can't even afford food.

@KyleJohnson-fy3rx nope if you have cancer you'll get chemo very fast. We have multiple cancer hospitals. You'll be waiting a long time if you go into the emergency room with a broken toe. Do you live here ? How much would your chemo treatment cost?
4 cancer treatments would cost almost $50 000. Last year my grandma had radiation treatment for cancer every day for 6 weeks and cost her nothing. And she got in very quickly

Uncomfortable laugh at Homer and the MRI machine. We live in Costa Rica, husband had medical emergency when his abdominal surgery site reopened 3 weeks after surgery. Big dude, 6'3" and could not fit in the teeny tiny for Ticos MRI. Embarrassing. Had to be taken by ambulance 2 hours away to one of the big open MRIs

This one was bashing around my mind for a bit: how can you get infected with a prion (let's say CWD) from food, if prion is a protein that is supposed to be broken down into single, harmless aminoacids? And even if chemical bonds are too strong, then wouldn't the whole protein particle be too big to be absorbed in the intestines just like fiber and just be excreted?

You cant get a. Nuceler blast from a light water reactor. The core is simply not sufficely dense. Becuase the uranium is only 5% u235 there is simply no way to make ir that dense.

@@Videogamer-555 Light water is the moderator, Uranium with a concentration of U235 is the fuel. Its called a light water reactor because basically all reactors are uranium reactors, hence saying uranium reactor is kind of redundant.
