FAQ (will update) Q: Why can't my sayodevice calibrate below a certain number? A: As said in the video, this doesn't matter because: 1. The new firmware interprets the raw data differently; 2. you're not supposed to calibrate to a specific number as calibration is to determine where the bottom of the switch is so everything else works. (I said this in the video, btw) Q: I'm experiencing double clicks, and I don't know why; what do I do? A: As said in the video, this is either because rt trigger or release is too low for your switch. To fix this, get a new switch that can handle these values, or adjust rt trigger and/or rt release up by 0.05mm until you get a consistent result.
how else can i stop double clicking? i changed rt settings all over the place and changed out switches but still getting double clicks when i hit the edge of the key too lightly

Also for the website calibration do I just press it hard or what. My final question is that how do I replace my keys for the new switches. And the correct settings for it thanks ❤
I just got my SayoDevice and I watched this and I'm having a problem where I will press a key and it will work but say there is an orb in the air that I had to get to by jumping, I would jump, and without releasing it would press the orb. But after it hits the orb, it doesn't hit anymore. Do you know how to fix that? Edit: I went back into GD and I noticed on my click counter, that when I press once, it's clicking twice. Hope that helps. Final edit (for anyone having the same problem): So I fixed the problem by going into the menu, Device, factory recovery. What a factory recovery does, is it completely resets your devices settings. After you factory recover it, get your settings back to how they were, and that should fix the problem.
Think you could make a follow up to this (Or just make it a separate dedicated video) with a windows optimization guide? Your last optimization guide to make the game less laggy was over 4 years ago, and that was mainly for a good monitor and mouse/keyboard choice really. Tons of things have changed since then, hardware and peripherals have advanced significantly, and 2.2 is almost a year old.
Do the heavy gamemodes ever become normal again? Every time i try straight fly or wave spam, it goes towards the ground, so I cant spam anymore. Will it ever fix itself with time ?
great video -- few questions tho 1. the sayodevice already comes with a pretty long usbA-usbC cord, does that one work well enough or do i really need to get another one 2. what advantage(s) do gateron orange dual rails offer other than stability (because that doesn't seem too important,) and are they louder than whatever pink things come preinstalled on the sayodevice
1. You're not obligated to get a new cord if yours works well. 2. Other than stability, not much else. They have the same bottom out and polarity as white switches. They are 100% better than the pink switches, which I don't think work well with rapid trigger from what I've found.
alr tried with old firmware and it was a great config, it rlly depended on calibration, not too much in config, still I didnt ment to update firmware a couple of weeks ago and my settings messed up and tried recovering or creating new settings but failure. I need your help, ive tried everything to reduce my input lag, i changed the settings, ive tried different mods in gd to help with performance, ive changed the cord but I keep getting a lot of input delay in my sayodevice(ive checked with "device test" in the website), and I cant play very well with that constant delay, and im not sure if it happens because my pc cant process 8000hz, i need you to tell me.
so i just got the orange dual rail ks20 switches and when i put it in the sayo device its not working ands theres no tutorials on how to switch the switches in a sayo device?
Is there really that big a difference between a Sayo and a very good mouse? I currently use a G502 X and I really like it and I doubt there's a significant difference between the two but I really don't know.
Okay so I have a question, I bought the wooting lekker 45 switches for my sayo. Would you say the magnetic orange dualrail switches are worth getting over my current ones?
I have a couple of questions 1. are the setting you showed in the video good for the switches that come stock when you get the sayodevice so both of the rts to 0.2 2. are you ever gonna make a updated version on the hardware and software video
1. Assuming your stock switches are hall effect switches (gateron whites or the black and red switch), yes. If you get double clicks, adjust it up by .05 and test results. 2. My knowledge is too expansive about this to fit it into one video, so I will likely make 3-4 separate videos concerning the topic (input methods, computer hardware, optimizing your windows computer, optimizing geometry dash)
Hey, if im using the pink switches that come with the sayodevice then should I use 0.2 for RT trigger and RT release? i dont want to mess up my settings
I’m using the Wooting 60HE with rapid trigger, but for me I actually find that binding the key to L Mouse instead of Up Arrow actually decreases the input delay a tiny bit. I accidentally discovered it and I don’t know why it’s the case; If anything it should have more delay when using Mouse clicks, right?
I don't have experience with lekker v2, but they should be better than pinks and have less wobble than jades. I'd definitely reccomend them over pinks.
thank you bro i had no idea had to set up rapid trigger before and i didn’t even know about the debounce thing, my only question is, what is the advantage of using the jade switches you mentioned?
I'd say it's more of a trade off. More stem wobble for a lower bottom-out distance. If you like lower profile buttons, you'd probably like jade switches. If you don't care for the wobble or the extra math, then get ks20 U's
@@Hyperbola sorry what? i’m not super knowledgeable on keyboard switches lol. currently i’m using the stock sayo switches that it came with, are those fine? i don’t mind switching them out if there’s something that works better, i’m just wondering how they are in comparison to other ones
It depends on how you use a keyboard. If you play other games like fps, pvp, or typing, wait for the upcoming wooting kb. If it's just for geometry dash, yes.

Wooting doesn't make red switches. The red and grey stocks are said to be the worst, but you can likely play with then just fine. If you have red and black ones, they're likely almost exactly as good as the ones listed, except for not having lower bottom out or better stability
following this video rendered my sayo almost unusable due to constant releasing/void clicking which wasnt remedied by the solutions you provided to others, not sure if there are some niche caveats you failed to mention or if my shit is just broken
@@LucyBebee that would be the issue, there was a video somewhere where someone used some kind of tape to stop it from wobbling but you should probably just buy some of the switches mentioned in the video, you can get 10 gateron ks-20u for about 12 usd
This is because despite being 3.5mm deep, the sayodevice always assumes a switch is 4mm deep, no matter what. You may have to do some extra math to make sure your specs don't cause any double click issues.
Rapid trigger allows the switch to actuate or release after traveling a certain distance, regardless of where the switch is in its range. In short, it allows a dynamic actuation point.
my sayodevice keeps void clicking on quick one two's or just fast clicking in general and it happened after sayodevice update, Also i cant calibrate under 700 for some reason
As mentioned in the video, don't look for certain numbers calibrating. The number is just how the computer precieves where the bottom of the switch is. You're void clicking because you're only using a small fraction of the switch's range by not bottoming out the switch during calibration.
my sayo came with outemu pink switches and i want to buy one of the gateron swtiches that you sayed, which of the three would you tell is te best to buy? (jade, orange or white)
Orange is what I prefer personally. You can get jades as well if you like the lower bottom out, but I've had issues with them if I spam a lot with them.
@@Hyperbola also, i'm not sure if what i'm searching is correct, can i send you via discord or somewhere the link of aliexpress that i found? just to be sure
@@prodbykxrma part of me want to agree with you, but I don't think it's quite that true, or at least in my case, for some reason whenever I use 8000hz it will always glitch out, and press unproperly or inconsistent press and release, maybe it's too much electric to handle? I'm not so sure xd
im curious whether choosing "relative to the mouse" in device functions is fine or could it possibly cause issues. my sayo keys are bound to left mouse click, spacebar and up arrow and that allows you to tripleclick (if i dont choose "relative to the mouse" the key thats responsible for left mouse clicks doesnt work)
@@Hyperbola sure but I do realize the left mouse click bind causes input lag. However I only notice input lag on the key that's bound to left mouse click, the other keys don't seem to be affected. My question is mostly about the "relative to the mouse" function of sayodevice rather than mouse binds
I also got the sayo and I’m actually really happy with it. Only issue is that I can not find a position in which it feels comfortable playing with it. Have you got any tips?
I like to have enough room on my desk so my forearm can rest on the desk. Some people have their arm straight, and others have their forearm bent at about 90⁰. I'm thinking about video detailing ergonomics in the future, but I have yet to get time for it.

does the key calibration matter using the nob it wont let me go below 700 but it used to
The way the sayodevice interprets raw data has changed. As said in the video, you shouldn't be aiming for a certain number when calibrating anyway.
got it, btw when i calibrated it on the website it said 3.95 instead of 3.5 even tho i have a gateron jade
This is because despite being 3.5mm deep, the sayodevice always assumes a switch is 4mm deep, no matter what. You may have to do some extra math to make sure your specs don't cause any double click issues.
whats rapid trigger
Rapid trigger allows the switch to actuate or release after traveling a certain distance, regardless of where the switch is in its range. In short, it allows a dynamic actuation point.
my sayodevice keeps void clicking on quick one two's or just fast clicking in general and it happened after sayodevice update, Also i cant calibrate under 700 for some reason
As mentioned in the video, don't look for certain numbers calibrating. The number is just how the computer precieves where the bottom of the switch is. You're void clicking because you're only using a small fraction of the switch's range by not bottoming out the switch during calibration.
@@Hyperbola i tried that but it does nothing it still keps void clicking and micro clicking when i released
Adjust rt trigger and rt release up by .05, check if there's still double clicks. If they persist, rinse and repeat until no more
@@Hyperbola it was mainly the key that was bugging out it still feels really delayed and unresponsive but it helped a bit atleast thank you
update i messed around with some settings and it feels pretty good now
my sayo came with outemu pink switches and i want to buy one of the gateron swtiches that you sayed, which of the three would you tell is te best to buy? (jade, orange or white)
Orange is what I prefer personally. You can get jades as well if you like the lower bottom out, but I've had issues with them if I spam a lot with them.
@@Hyperbola okok, so is gateron orange or gateron jade orange? idk much about switches, sorry lol
and thank you very much!
@@Hyperbola also, i'm not sure if what i'm searching is correct, can i send you via discord or somewhere the link of aliexpress that i found? just to be sure
The switch model is called KS20 U. The stem is orange and the housing is translucent grey. You can send the link if you'd like to "hyperbola."
But what if i dont have a sayodevice o3c geometry dash
You can buy one on Aliexpress for $15-30 USD

Thanks
Hyperbola l am looking into getting a sayodevice. Is it wired or is it wireless
it has bluetooth ☺
Wired (with high speed usb c male to usb a 3.0 male)
Do you really need 8000hz?
Yes
if you dont have cbf, not really
@@wb-1343 what's a cbf you mean?
If u want less delay use 8k if u js wanna play casually and don’t care too much js use 1k only if u want but 8k is a 100x better
@@prodbykxrma part of me want to agree with you, but I don't think it's quite that true, or at least in my case, for some reason whenever I use 8000hz it will always glitch out, and press unproperly or inconsistent press and release, maybe it's too much electric to handle? I'm not so sure xd
I doesnt say rapid trigger
yo do you still have a 1060?
No, I have a 3060 Ti now
Damn I was looking for this video like a month ago when I bought my sayo lmao
honestly As soon as the Lekker v2s drop there wont be a need for dual rail switches anymore, since it was just a matter of switch tolerances
Noted. I have no data on unreleased switches so I reccomended the best I could present moment.
im curious whether choosing "relative to the mouse" in device functions is fine or could it possibly cause issues. my sayo keys are bound to left mouse click, spacebar and up arrow and that allows you to tripleclick (if i dont choose "relative to the mouse" the key thats responsible for left mouse clicks doesnt work)
Left mouse click causes massive input delay. Maybe you could bind a key in mhv7/8 to jump, then have your third click be that.
@@Hyperbola sure but I do realize the left mouse click bind causes input lag. However I only notice input lag on the key that's bound to left mouse click, the other keys don't seem to be affected. My question is mostly about the "relative to the mouse" function of sayodevice rather than mouse binds
5:52 OWO?
I also got the sayo and I’m actually really happy with it. Only issue is that I can not find a position in which it feels comfortable playing with it. Have you got any tips?
I like to have enough room on my desk so my forearm can rest on the desk. Some people have their arm straight, and others have their forearm bent at about 90⁰. I'm thinking about video detailing ergonomics in the future, but I have yet to get time for it.
@@Hyperbolathanks for the answer. I think a video about that topic would be really interesting for some people.
The firmware is very buggy
