You are as much of a good sport for showing your fails to the world as you are persistent! I bet you can do all kinds of cool things by now and everyone watching this video knows you deserve it! It makes me a little sad that I never recorded my first steps with poi, although those fails are pretty monotonous: they either hit you square on the nose or in the groin. Time for you to shine! :-D
BEST VIDEO I have seen in a long time Love it all the breaking glass, the letting strangers eat shit, locations, the little girl and the high five of success! Love the stick-to-itiveness that shows it not easy feet! On a side note, where did you get your cyr wheel?
Good for you. I started inline skating at sixty and I know only too well the number of times I failed including dislocating a shoulder. However, I'm now quite good. It's really productive that you post struggles because it shows that achieving skills takes time and pain.
People often forget the amount of blood sweat tears and time that goes into a finished product/ show thanks for showing the amount of practice and skill it takes to do something like this
So I just started watching videos of the cyr wheel and was floored by its grave and power. For you to show the challenges to overcome to exhibit that grace is equally amazing. And kinda hilarious too! Thanks!
RUclips is funny. I don't know how I got here, but here I am. And the power of people is amazing. I got teary-eyed when you finally did your first cartwheel(?). Such joy!
I have wanted to learn this for a long time but availability of classes is minimal. I do other forms of aerial dance and it takes so much failure before you can make it look flawlessly easy. Thanks for showing your work along the way and committing to it
THE PERSON WHO DID IT IN THEIR HOUSE NEAR THE GLASS I AM CACKLING !!!! LIKE R U GOOD WHY WOULD U DO THIS TO YOURSELF LMAO, but also thanks for doing it bc I giggled hard
I recently started learning cyr wheel and seeing this encouraged me to keep working at it ☺️ It’s so easy to get discouraged when I fail to even waltz, but I know I need to keep trying ✊🏼 I will likely look back at this video to keep me motivated
Thank you, I needed a reminder of how hard this would be to learn. I've been thinking of just buying one, since I can't find classes. It's so easy to forget that the road to success if paved with moments like these. Kudos to your hard work. BTW, have you ever crushed your fingers? that's the thing I am most worried about, well, that and getting supper dizzy.
I kept saying " you're getting there honey" every time you almost made it lol. I have so much respect for you and this craft. You're much stronger than people realize.
I've been recording my progress this first year and god can I relate to some of these fails... Also where did you get those awesome red and blue flowy pant things...
I was filled with enthusiasm to make my own failures in hooping after watching your video, thank you for posting what most would not want others to see. I have so many questions to ask like what are you training for? How did you get into the Cyr? What or where was the mass of people from at 1:34 in the video? What advice would you give yourself for beginning the Cyr? Thank you again for the video. Cheers!
Just now seeing this! Those people are all at Cheesman Park in Denver Colorado. I was visiting and found a flow jam. As for the other questions, I'm going to have a Cyr Wheel FAQ up soon!
As time progressed you could tell she was getting better because when she would fall she would fall more gracefully. I know that sounds odd but she was really starting to become one with the wheel. Then at the end and she did multiple spins it was like WOW! I was really happy for her. 🤩
That's how you know you're ready. Part of the reason I shared this is because so many people think they can just hop on and ride the thing. If you are ready to suck for a while though, you'll have more success in the long term!
@@Hooplahoma I have no problem sucking at anything. If you keep at it, you can only suck at something for so long. XD lets be friends! Follow & connect with me @ancient.child.artistry on Insta!
I especially liked 1.44 where success is beginning to appear and 3.13...where success leads to a mishap for a hobbit. I would like to do this one day. Hopefully without making as many mistakes. It must take a lot of muscle power, hand stand balancing, all round strength to begin with... How much do they cost..? And where do you get them..?
Hey I have always wanted to do this ! I live a a small town with nothing here and no one to show me how even if I got a cyr wheel. Can you tell me how to go about getting the right one for my weight and height and any other tips? Thanks for the video try and try till you succeed …..best video I’ve seen yet!
You will want a wheel that is 3-8 inches taller than you, depending on how long your arms are. If you have a longer reach you will want a bigger wheel. Search "Cyr wheel for sale" to find some options, mine is from Anton on Etsy.
Se dice que todo esfuerzo tiene su recompensa..me encantaría aprender eso...pero ni idea de dónde ni quién...me enseñaría y conseguir tremendo aro ..muy guapo la cerdad
I am really considering buying one but am uncertain of the size to get. I am about 6 feet and have seen recommendations from 3 inches to 4 to 6 inches taller than me. Anyone have any advice?
@@Hooplahoma I ended up getting one from Anton on Etsy. Got it a week ago. I'm worried it may be a bit big. I'm 6 feet and it is 76.5 inches so about 4 and half inches taller then me (inside diameter) and I am still trying to find a place with a good surface to train on. Seems impossible. Looks like you did it everywhere in this video.
I bet there's a constant fear of having your fingers crushed by the giant wheel.
ya
its not as bad as you think i have been doing it for years and have only done it like one or two times! this woman is a bad ass i have meet her!
Noah Maudlin oh hey Noah!!!
I worry about it every time I see someone doing this!!!
Or falling flat on your face
The human spirit will NEVER DIE. You rock!!!!!
What this proves to me, is that Cyr Wheel Exercising is a helluva lot HARDER than most people think! 😕😨😦😮😱

Cyr wheel comes from Anton on Etsy

You have to fall to learn how not to fall. You didn't give up and you kept trying. That is inspiring.

I didn't have any classes when I started, I am mostly self taught. Still the only person in Oklahoma too.
THE PERSON WHO DID IT IN THEIR HOUSE NEAR THE GLASS I AM CACKLING !!!! LIKE R U GOOD WHY WOULD U DO THIS TO YOURSELF LMAO, but also thanks for doing it bc I giggled hard
Chiara K it’s all the same person lol, looks like she’s learned
Chrisnia Y lmao I never noticed I just laughed my ass off at that glass break and her reaction

Love it The broken glass, lol! I see what I have to look forward to!
Looking better every fall .
What a great journey , please keep us updated .
😳
Watch your fingers 😳
Learning the cyr wheel looks more fun than actually doing it
AMAZING AND INSPIRING! Watching you become the person you wanted to be through constant effort. This is a work of art on so many levels.
3:55 she looked so proud of herself when she did it 😊your doin great keep it up
Tag yourself. I’m the child that got knocked over lol
Fantastic commitment and determination!

I couldn't find an instructor either. I just bought one and been using RUclips tutorials
omg the GLASS SHATTERING i nearly wet myself, cyr fails are just as interesting as cyr performances lol
Awesome that you were happy to be so public in your early stages, and always smiling and laughing, even when destroying the house :D
Is anyone gunnu talk about the start when she smashed something!!😂
Oh my
She should have 10 subscribers for each time she fell
Even behind the camera
So persistent 👏👏

I was surprised and impressed with 4:11 with the big grunt! Like, WHOA! That move came outta nowhere!
Hello from TikTok 💜 thanks for showing what learning cyr wheel ACTUALLY looks like 😂
Purely visible improvement in the fails.. that might be the most important skill, as it could hit badly! Anyway, it looks fun!
I’ve never been so happy to see someone else succeed like this
I've been recording my progress this first year and god can I relate to some of these fails...
Also where did you get those awesome red and blue flowy pant things...
Happy hula hooper here. You make me want to try Cyr wheel but I'm such a big baby when it comes to falling and scrapes. Maybe one day. So inspiring!!!
Wow, I love this, by the end I was saying go baby gooo! Lol
Doing this inside can never be a g... yup.

Another true embodiment of determination. Keep it up!
👍🏻👍🏻
love the fact you just didnt stop! best attitude ever and good luck mastering it!
Lots of improvement!! Major respect.
2:33 why are you dressed up like a tiger 😂?
This is great. Thank you for posting. It's a good reminder that you have to fail a lot before you're good at something.
I fucking died when you broke the glass 😬😂😂😂💯
Always when I watch humans and a Cyr wheel it is as if the Cyr has a will of it’s own, even more in the challenge human against Cyr 😂👍🏼👏🏼
This video makes me absolutely excited and absolutely devastated that I just spent so much money on a wheel! 😂
Best video on RUclips!
0:39 OMG
Less than 30 seconds, subscription earned.
I should make a video of how many fails it took me to learn skateboarding tricks
Itzz Jaeda yes you should!
Wow your will power is amazing. U go girl. You'll get it keep trying
Did you ever crush your fingers while rolling upside down?
Nope! Do you make a fist when you do a cartwheel?
@@Hooplahoma good point! I figured instinct would be to make a fist while holding the Cyr but what you said totally makes sense
The lion at 2:33 is my favorite fail.
Keep on perfecting your skill. You look good doing it too. Salam.
3:14 I remember that, lol.. story of me loife!!
i feel like that wheel is a tad small for you, keep up the great work! lookin great!
You're right! I've gotten bigger ones since this video
Just saw this on instagram and it looks so cool!!! Now I'm like: Let's not try this at my age, lol.
So I've been wanting to learn cyr wheel so badly- and oddly enough, this video made me want to learn it that much more. I am strange. I accept this.

How do you travel with one of those? Does it come apart or do you have to try to fit that huge thing in your car?
3:12 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I knoooooow.... she was fine though. Scared the heck outta me
Is it possible to do this without bending wrist backwards?
I would like to start but I can't bend mine that way.
You've accomplished much 👌
Love this, you r super hardworking never back down person 👍

1 youtube video of a man on a giant hoop... look at what he has done. How many fingers has this man caused to be crushed!
This is cool to learn thoes kung fu jumps
I am so afraid of them breaking their teeth, the uncontrollable flat to the ground falls ooof
So cool! I'm really interested in learning. Out of curiosity, did you learn it for fun or as a professional?
Se dice que todo esfuerzo tiene su recompensa..me encantaría aprender eso...pero ni idea de dónde ni quién...me enseñaría y conseguir tremendo aro ..muy guapo la cerdad

I believe the Circus Concepts website has a chart for figuring out your wheel height. Check out their website and poke around, you'll find it!

Wow, great determination.
Are you in St. L? I just got mine and cannot find an instructor

Some people have too much time on their hands lol
is it seriouly that no one is commenting about 3:13 ??? The kid just smashed her face into the wheel lol
