I just love watching your videos! My son just went in to the military last summer, so we are traveling a lot to visit him and your videos are the best out there (I’ve watched ALOT) to help me with how to pack light with all your tips and tricks. Has anyone told you you look SO MUCH like a Catherine O’Hara!
I started watching your travel tips a few days ago (first time flyer by myself) and here I am looking at this hearing aid video (I'm also legally deaf). Thank you so much! I'm buying this to try out.
Thank you for watching! I hope it works for you. There is another accessory that I did not qualify for but it sounded amazing. I cannot remember what it was.
What a cool and useful gadget/aid. I almost wish I could use it and I don't have any hearing issues/problems. And, don't be embarrassed to ask for the help you need.
Thanks so very much for this hearing aid information. I haven’t heard of this device until watching your video. I certainly will check out my options. A big thanks. Linda
Thank you for sharing!, My husband has hearing aids but they are a different brand. I appreciate your candidness and willingness to share your own testimony… thank you. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🥰🥰 Thanks for all your videos and advise. It is appreciated! I did share this video with our friend who wears this brand and he is very excited about trying this🙌🏻👏🏻
Thank you for this video. I had no idea such a thing even existed! My hearings aids are great but in a crowded environment I hear all the background noise at the same volume as people speaking. I love watching your videos but when this came up I was blown away! I have Phonak hearing aids and will see if they have anything similar. As a frequent flyer (my husband worked for two airlines) I found some new ideas from your videos.
Great info Laurie ! Thank you for sharing~ The hubby has a friend that uses this device (Goldwing rides) I think I shared with you my history of being an advocate for cochlear implants & hosting a friend of my son's that was hearing impaired. Also my bff is a special education teacher & my son would assist her with "Special O", helping to transfer kids into the water. Along the way Paul was proficient in sign language and his knowledge of hearing technology helped when he was deployed (Army Special Ops) Thank you for educating us ! (and I spy Aullie )😘
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie I personally don't. I did work as a camp counselor for the disabled for a while and some did need hearing aids. Also at the school I volunteer in there are kids who also need them so its good to share this information with some teachers and parents
A little heads up. Cochlear America also has similar devices that work with their implanted processors. They work AMAZING. Might want too refer to it a a neck loop vs a necklace. Is more friendly.
I haven't figured out how to use a hotel phone yet. I wanted to order room service but can't hear on the hand held receiver with BTE aids. Any solutions to that?
I can get a similar feature with my set of Oticons using my iPhone as a wireless microphone. I find that it doesn’t work great for me. Have you tried that feature? If so does it compare?
OMG, the person who doesn't raise their voice when you ask them to repeat! And I don't even wear hearing aids, although I feel like I probably need them. My own mother who wears hearing aids herself does this to me! :(
I am nearly totally deaf in my left ear, but I can't wear a hearing aid as it is damage to the nerve that sends the signals to the brain. If I do wear a hearing aid, my hearing ear will lose its ability to hear as I would become dependent on the hearing aid. I wonder if there is something like this device that would work for someone like me - who has all the hearing difficulties, but can't wear an aid - do you know of anything, or could you suggest a place to check out? I find it so hard!
I have a hearing problem that sounds a lot like yours. I now have a Cochlear implant for one ear and a BAHA implant on the other ear. Life is now so much easier and Cochlear of America has a "mini mic" just like the one Laurie showed us that came with my implants.
She has helped me so much; I found her when I had knee problems and did her chair workouts. She has transformed my arms and helping me through menopause.

Hi Madam where can i buy that hearing aid.. Im from Philippines. Thanks so. Much
@@auroramontino6125 Hi Aurora, you will have to ask your audiologist for one to match your hearing aid company. Maybe they make an accessory.
OMG.. this is life changing!!!!
Isn't it helpful while watching tv or RUclips videos on a laptop?
My late Father had one of these. It was wonderful!
Hugs to you!
Thank you ever so much! I'm going to let my husband know about this. He has Resound as well so maybe he already knows and just needs a nudge.
I tell you it is amazing! You just put it beside things!!

Hi Linda! Do not miss my travel tips for hearing aids video either if helpful: bit.ly/TravelTipsHearingAid
What a brilliant device! So glad that this is such a help to you.
It helps in ways I need the volume without actually turning the volume up super loud on the tv or laptop. Hope you’re doing well!
Thank you, for all of your help, Mel from San Antonio,Tx

Oh that is so cool! Who does that?! Thanks for watching
Awesome find! I have to sow this to my boyfriend. He needs this and I need him to have this LOL
I hear ya😂 The tv and laptop were the game changers for me. So many ways it can be helpful!
Good info! Thanks for getting the word out. NEVER be embarrassed to request something that will help you! 💕
Thanks for the tips. I really look forward to your videos :)
I'm so glad! Do you wear hearing aids?

@@gitakiss5801 Oh that is cool! I used to teach elementary school.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie Thats amazing :) I volunteer in the library and during activities
That’s amazing! I am checking with my audiologist to see if my Phonak hearing aid has the same product.
Maybe they have something!

Ooh I love that terminology! I use ReSound hearing aids so this assistive device is perfect for streaming almost anything🙌🏻
Great to know. I wear resound hearing aids as well.
I was blown away with how well it streamed in my hearing aids when I placed it beside the tv in my house and my laptop in a hotel.
So I may go with gn instead of phonak mic as it’s cost effective. Thanks 🎉
Do you know if this can be used with other branded hearing aids?
Hi, it cannot.
Other brands make their own external microphones.
Thanks
I’d like to get this for my dad. Where can I find out more ?
Just read it can only be used with a specific brand. ☹️he had Costco.
@@carolhuff1109 Mine are ReSound
I haven't figured out how to use a hotel phone yet. I wanted to order room service but can't hear on the hand held receiver with BTE aids. Any solutions to that?
Do you have to their hearing aids for it to work?
Hi you need ReSound hearing aids
Hi Madam can i ask where can i buy that hearing aid.. I need it badly. Thanks so much for ur reply. Im from the Philippines.
I got it from my audiologist. They use Resound.
I can get a similar feature with my set of Oticons using my iPhone as a wireless microphone. I find that it doesn’t work great for me. Have you tried that feature? If so does it compare?
I too have tried this with my Oticon aids but it doesn’t work well. I am curious about ConnectClip, seems similar.
Is this Multi-mic only compatible with ReSound aids?
Hi, yes it is. I talk about that near the end.
I live in Canada, went to Costco, and said my hearing aids(Philips) will not work with my hearing aid. What can I do
Hi, I would ask your audiologist if there is an accessory mic.
OMG, the person who doesn't raise their voice when you ask them to repeat! And I don't even wear hearing aids, although I feel like I probably need them. My own mother who wears hearing aids herself does this to me! :(

I linked the resound website. I would definitely talk with an audiologist!

@@margaretmwilliams9554 thanks for the info. I think it's time I spoke to someone again about how technology has changed :)
I love Paula B

Too bad it only works with the multi-mic hearing aids.... Thanks for looking out for us hearing aid folks!

Just listened to the end of your video and see that you answered by question, sorry
Oh good. You can also skip to the description box below any video if that helps. Sometimes you can find your answer there.
