After playing for some time I can honestly say Minecraft's Terraria Mod is Shockingly Fun! This is a mod for Minecraft 1.12.2 so go check it out! Something I _really_ like about this, is the fact that its not _just_ a texture back, or _just_ a few new mobs, its straight up Terraria in 3D, Terraria physics and all. So cool.
what surprised me the most was how they copied the liquid system as well. Not just water but, honey, and lava as well
It even has the ambient noises like birds and cave drips!
Almost none of it is minecraft anymore.
I love how the mod dev's are working on the little things first before trying anything too big, that's often how most good games are made anyway.

A small mod executed perfectly is better than a huge mod made poorly

You guys are awesome! I played Terraria before I ever picked up Minecraft and I put down Minecraft immediately because I had been spoiled! I think I'm going to Play It Again just because of this mod
i think yall should test making the mining speed faster for pickaxes due to there being another dimension. also, i know it isnt in terraria but a tool like a builders wand would do wonders, cuz building boss arenas or anything really would be such a pain
I'm more excited about this mod than Skyblivion or Skywind or even Beyond Skyrim. Keep it up.
Btw this mod has the armsdealer and minishark, it is AWESOME

I know it's been a year and I imagine the mod has seen some further development, but just from this video I'm insanely impressed by how well implemented this mod is. Must've taken FOREVER even with a dev team. (not sure what your development situation is right now) Keep up the fantastic work this type of project takes true talent
@@jayden_5812 our main dev is from ukraine, so the progress on the mod has not been as fast as we wanted to, let alone the rest of the devs also being quite busy. However we are still working on the mod as much as we can. Thank you for the kind message

What I find really cool about this mod is that you can easily make a whole village and it'll feel significantly cooler than making a village in Minecraft or a town in Terraria, merging the two makes it so much better
I can just imagine in the far future, when they finally add the Moon Lord to this, fighting all of the Terraria bosses in vivecraft! That'll be a hoot and a half.

I like how generous this mod is with giving you all the flowers for potions. You can find an area just covered in them and you’re all set, don’t really have to set up a farm.
Just remember that Minecraft has just over 1k items, and Terraria literally has 5x that, so this mod is gonna be huge!

It's incredible how they've managed to mix both Terraria and Minecraft's art _and_ gameplay styles so well, basically creating a whole new game. It's lovely, honestly

I’m really curious as to how they’d implement the Wall of Flesh. There’s a lot of things that would have to be done to adapt it to a 3D environment.

I really appreciate that they didn’t just try to emulate small parts of terraria, and it mostly being based on like 1.0 or 1.1, it’s cooler to see stuff like sitting on chairs and chimney’s than the terrablade early game!

Fun fact: Theres a way to take your characters between worlds in Minecraft like in terraria... except its hundreds of times more complicated and you cannot do it for servers.
You can take your player data file and put it in different player data folder in the world folder.
Considering how simple it is compared to some other things, I'm surprised there isn't a mod for that yet...

Every time I see another one of these videos, I’m surprised more and more by the amount of content and detail the mod has. Unbelievable how much they’ve added!

also btw if ur wondering, yes hell does exist but you have to mine very very far to get to it. it took me like half an hour to get to it in survival because of all the stone layers.
They should put WAY more trees in the Jungle. It's not very much of a Jungle, and Terraria covers for that with all the crazy terrain.
The more you play this mod, the more amazing it gets. Attention to details is just incredible, if this mod will be finished one day, you can call it a Terraria 2.0, because it surely plays very different but with all the stuff that original Terraria have

Minecraft already has holiday features implemented, so it probably made it a bit easier for the mod developers to add the ones from Terraria

They should double the mining speed on pickaxes, considering there is another dimension of blocks

3x3 unless your holding shift or something or vice versa
@@JC-dt5fs nope. Just double the mining speed, no need to overcomplicate.
You can literally just see the huge amount of effort that the devs put into this amazing mod, definitely excited to see how large it would grow in the future.

This mod reminds me of when terraria was in development. Its really cool to see the mod get new content gives me a nostalgia feeling.
im glad the devs are choosing the little details over the bosses at least for now. Getting the feeling of playing terraria and having actual progression is necessary before bosses can be added to draw in the players
the attention to detail in this mod is insane, I hope they do keep going with progression though lol

edit: 12:22 if you dig down like 400 blocks on a medium world you'll stumble upon hell, some caves can lead down pretty far but i don't think i've found one that leads all the way down to it

What a great video, i'm so glad that someone actually uploads on this mod.
I dunno if this is it, but for me Terraria is always what I've wanted Minecraft to be, Bosses, progression, cool unique weapons and classes. Npcs an actual reason to build things.
Minecraft is fun but there's never an actual reason to build anything, the only thing I can think of is an enchanting set-up with bookshelves. There's only 3 bosses, ones the end game, one of them you use for beacons and the other gives you sponges and for pretty much all of them you us the same basic wooden bow and arrows but enchanted with potions and enchanted armour. Terraria ruins minecraft in my opinion and it just proves how good "block" games can be
The whole point of Minecraft is just to have fun building and exploring, it isn't about the bosses so combat doesn't need to be complex.

You know what, you read my mind when you brought up the cube world comparison. The snow biome with all the plants on the ground that you could collect just screamed cube world at my brain just before you mentioned it.

Been watching the last few episodes and I'm really hyped for the next update which should be around Christmas like last year's update so we have more terraria craft content to watch
