The adapter will only work with gamecube games and wii games with GC controller support, However, through GC2Wiimote you might be able to configure the controller as a Wii classic controller
There's only 1 issues with this. Is thay it doesn't register analog presses on L and R making most games that require it useless. Only thing I really use this for is to use a wireless controller for the gba player.
I know I’m a year late but I just recently got this receiver and I’m having problems with connecting joycons to the receiver. Because every time I try to connect joycons it treats each joycon as its own controller.
3:30 this is normal, even regular gamecube controllers dont do anything in the main home screen Edit: regular gamecube controllers do work in the usbloader gx main home screen
This is great. But is there a Bluetooth adapter for GameCube controllers with cables that you could plug into to convert them to Bluetooth. Yes you would still have a long cable but you can just tie it up.
So i just got this same device amd using an xbox controller in sideloader gx it works but if i boot a gmaecube game it will not do anything on any gamecube games
hello friend i have some homebrews here (emulator like retroarch and wiistation) with setup files that work perfectly with cube controllers (both wired and wireless). this adapter seems to make the wii understand that it is a connected cube control and that way it would probably work in retroarch... did you test it?
Hey man, I was wondering how you go from playing a GameCube game back to the usb loader gx menu with all the games? Like I’m playing one game and want to quit to the screen where I have all my games and no arts…. When using wii games/wiimote I just hit home button, but with blue retro dongle and 8bitdo sn30 pro plus I don’t know how…. Thanks for any help all
I think there’s a combination of buttons found this online: Official controller - R+Z+Start (restart), R+Z+B+Down (shutdown). Wiimote+Nunchuck - Home button on Wiimote (shutdown). HID-USB controller/adapter - L+R+Z+Start (shutdown). ... Some games may natively use button's combination too - B+A+Start (restart).
I just want to know if this is compatible with PS5 controllers and will my gamecube fighting games function normally? I don't want to play wii games with the ps5 controllers just gamecube
Technically you can do this for free on a modded wii with bloopair and then there's a mod for gamecube where you can also use regular gamecube controllers but still great video
I’ll have to look into this! Thanks for the info, fam💯🔥 Edit: just checked and it only works with Wii U unless you know of a way to set up on a modded Wii?
@@asphaltboy9329 thats because the combination only works for gamecube games, for wii games you have to use the wii remote. @@asphaltboy9329 im pretty sure i replied to this. I said the combination only works on gamecube games. Doesn't work on wii games, i tried it on tenkaichi 3 and didn't work which is a wii game
What happened to the left stick of your ps4 controller?😂 seems like you play very intensive online multiplayer. So maybe it is posible to use a original GameCube controller? There is an adapter from 8bitdo that works as a switch pro controller, but has the entrance for a GameCube controller, so with this it should be possible to play with an original GameCube controller wirelessly.
Lol the funny thing is I hardly even use my PS4 but the controller is so worn out it’s sad! Hmm that’s a good idea about the 8bitdo! Not sure if it would work but if you try it, lmk how it goes!
@@djd-cepticon7215Finally received my blue retro adapter, I was using the 8bitdo Gbros adapter that lets you connect a wired GameCube controller. So the first game Intried this with was metal gear twin snakes, I was trying for about 2 hours, every worked fine, but there is a problem with the stick, when pressing diagonal, because that adapter is like a pro controller, the game cube controller has a hexagonal shell around the stick, so it seems the stick cannot be pushed all the way to the limit, I tried so many options, making the max limit to 70% and still the same thing happens. I thought my adapter was broken. Then after like 3 hours, I tried Mario sunshine and…. It worked!!! I tried other games and works fine. Just today morning I was looking into this stick problem of metal gear, there is a blog from somebody using a emulator and seems he has exactly the same problem using a real GameCube controller, in diagonal the character doesn’t run, only walks. And somebody replied to this person and said this was a bug, that also happens in the real GameCube, so it only works correctly when plugged the wired GameCube controlled directly to the console. This was the main game I buyed this adapter for. So I tried a switch pro controller, and the problem doesn’t appear, you press the stick any direction and the characters runs normally. So in conclusion, I can use the oficial wired controller with all games, and for metal I can use different controller, maybe a Dualsense 5, the triggers has analog pressing, you have to travel some distance before pressing all the way down, so the switch pro controller doesn’t have this function. So bad luck the first game I tried was one of the games with a bug, at least I can use another controller. So I spent 3 hours trying to configure, hahaha. If anybody else wants to use this 8bitdo gbros, just put in X mode, this makes the L and R buttong works more similar to a real GameCube controller. Everything works fine, just the L and R there is something odd, like more slow. But I least is not so noticebla. And for metal gear just use a switch pro controller or a dualsense. Again thanks for your video, at last I have a wireless original controller. Just got metal gear I have to configure again, I wanted just to have one configuration, at least I can play.

Is there an adapter for using a Bluetooth controller as a classic controller?
I think there are some that plug into the Wiimote but they’re more expensive

Does this work for GC mario kart double dash?
Yes it does😃
@@djd-cepticon7215 Can it get a Wii remote to play GC Mario Kart double dash?
No I think you can either use a GC controller plugged into the GC ports or a regular classic controller
What is the layout is "B" square or circle? It would be really uncomfortable if its circle

Have you tried changing your Nintendont controller settings in usb loader gx to “Native”?
Would this work with an gc to usb adapter (if they even exist) and plugged it on the usb ports of a family edition wii?
Hm not sure tbh, sorry!
