Psychonauts! I preordered it after playing the demo in official Xbox magazine. I remember the GameStop employee telling me that I was the only one who preordered it and it was the only copy they had at the store. I still own my original day 1 copy 😎
I wish platformers got more praise on the OG Xbox, so I’m glad to see you highlighting some good ones. My favorite platformer on the console probably has to be Conker Live & Reloaded.
My favorite XBOX platformer (third party) is Crash Twinsanity. Even though the game is not entirely finished, I still like to go back to it every now and then.
I've always heard about Ty but I think I'll give it a shot now. Whiplash is a game I've never heard of before and am now interested in as well. Gotta love that edgy early to mid 2000s humor/artstyle! Great video!
Thank you for your channel from Belorussia!))) In my state original Xbox was never imported. It's cool to know from your channel that Xbox was not poor games console. A dozen of interesting games I found thanks to your videos.
I understand not liking the animal thing in Whiplash. In my experience, satire is at its best when it makes you consider something from a new perspective. Animal testing is often barbaric and pointing that out in a way that would definitely get someone's attention is imo, a legitimate storytelling idea. That said, i think most people agree the testing could be done much more gently and it could be viewed as redundant simply saying "animal cruelty bad"
I have heard lots of good things about the Tak and the Power of Juju titles which were meant to be companion pieces for the Nickelodeon show at the time.
Been going through a bit of a Blinx phase lately and I'll just say that I DESPERATELY hope that Microsoft find the money and time to sort out all the current rights issues with the IP thanks to the development studio Artoon shutting down and its members moving elsewhere, and get a remake or Blinx 3 going. It'd really give them some WELL-NEEDED variety in their modern lineup. The first game is great and all and I think it's held up better than many other platformers of the era but it's still...very much a Japanese-designed 3D platformer from the early 2000's, with some kinda baffling decisions in retrospect. I think taking it and adding some of the streamlining they did in Blinx 2 (smoother, faster control and sweeping, proper enemy targeting, refined time crystals, shop purchases being permanent, etc) while still keeping most of the hard-as-nails-but-still-fair level design would make for a genuinely FANTASTIC modern platformer.
If you haven't already, you should check out Wallace and grommet: project zoo! A super cute and fun platformer that I got my kids hooked on. They can vouch for it lol
For Platformers on Xbox i'd say definetly Psychonauts as 1st place even though I only fully played it around 2018. Then Munch's Oddysee which I do believe I only completed last year and not when I was younger. Atleast out of the ones I owned/have played. Blinx I like the character design, but the game design wise just doesn't feel for me even though I know quite a bit of people like it.
I always wondered how the Blind games sold in Japan and parts of Asia due to the fact that cats are loved over there probably more than here USA but who knows 😻
Blinx 2 while never played I think is a fair action taken then puzzle take on the series so it not being back compat for Xbox One is unfortunate to highlight it and for an Xbox audience over the 1st game being puzzle based which isn't to everyone's tastes. The co-op like Ratchet Deadlocked/Gladiator I think is nice. Character customisation I think is fair. Voice acting hmm not sure if They prefer voiced or Banjo like their language/noises type. The dynamic of the Sweepers/Tom Tom's mechanically and story wide are interesting. But dumbing it down and in tutorials I think isn't good. Some.action games with light puzzles are enjoyable but I think Blinx 2 doesn't do it as well from reviews/footage seen. 1 is a tough game and the upgrades fixed in 2 is nice but yeah the dumbing it down when action/puzzle can go hand in hand is a bit far but not a bad thing to lean into action or co-op at all I think it's great just they overhauled it too far in the puzzles being to basic and dialogue telling you how. Like wow thanks. The time abilities I think have their improvements too. I want to play both. Don't own an OG Xbox anymore but want to. But got 3 PS2 Scaler copies. Whiplash I think is a fair dynamic of the characters, fair concept not that into it. Ty is fine 2&3 going Spyro 2&3 or open world like is a bit eh. No interest. It's how I feel about the Jak series. 1 is more my thing and 2&3 while I beat and do a good job are too eh of open worlds but How found Sly series more boring for doing it in 2&3 while Jak 2&3 do more interesting open world challenges. Vexx is a fair game, I think the edge is alright. I think the combat is fair even if not needed in this game but I enjoy a God of War, Darksiders, Legend of Spyro doing it. Just better. I think the level design varies and the Banjo like aspects of the abilities and collectibles design is fair. I haven't played a lot of it when I used to own it or emu testing. The day night is cool, could have been used for more but of course Acclaim died so limits. It has fair ideas for what it was able to do in the time it had, not the best polish but it tried and has interesting levels and concepts of the time. Mad Dash nothing to say as other than a few videos or footage not seen much, not of interest really.
I think Mad Dash has a place like Tak's racing game even if I prefer the regular platformers. Sonic R did what it could I think. Dr Muto I think blends things well enough of cartoony/adult and creatures like a Banjo transformations or Space Station Silicon Valley animal abilities. With how the spider in Dr Muto is and Spider on. PS1 I think creatures like that or the Pitfall Lost Expedition scorpion are interesting to control. Tor was average, was ok. Kya on PS2 I think can be comparable to some others on Xbox/third party but I forget what I was aligning it with now. The beat em up combat, the upgrades, back tracking and such. Whiplash maybe Ty or something........
Honestly? I hate to say it, but out of all of the Xbox exclusives, Blinx is the only one that I have had ZERO interest in playing. I don’t know why. It just doesn’t seem like a particularly interesting series. I’m sorry. Nothing about Blinx looks appealing to me, but that’s just me.
It's a pretty interesting playstyle, using time-controls to help you with environments or gain an advantage against the time monsters. Blinx 1 also gives you alot of freedom in how you play the game, which is quite cool and it gets really hard at the later levels.
Dont apologize, you just suck at it and cant enjoy it. Its difficulty put off a lot of people who are just plain bad at dedicating themselves to a 3d platform game. Sorry not sorry.

Music used in each section:
Intro & Outro: Last Frito in the Bag - Camp Xbox
Blinx 2: Tutorial - Elebits
Whiplash: Airship Stage - Marvel vs Capcom 2
Ty the Tasmanian Tiger: Beautiful Ruin - Danganronpa 2
Mad Dash Racing: Dragon Street (Night) - Shenmue 2
Vexx: Axle the Red Spike - Mega Man X5
Nice to see that Voodoo Vince and Ty got great remasters.
Psychonauts! Truly a Great platformer with a lot of creative concepts
Psychonauts! I preordered it after playing the demo in official Xbox magazine. I remember the GameStop employee telling me that I was the only one who preordered it and it was the only copy they had at the store. I still own my original day 1 copy 😎

It may not be exclusive, but Pac Man World 2 is S tier imo. Probably my favorite game from og xb
heck yeah that's one of the greatest games of all time.
My favorite XBOX platformer (third party) is Crash Twinsanity. Even though the game is not entirely finished, I still like to go back to it every now and then.
I need to play that one more. I love Crash so I want to give it a shot.
Twinsanity is my favorite crash

Pyschonauts is the greatest of the Xbox platformers
Conker Live and Reloaded is another amazing Xbox platformer
Platformers with Camp Xbox
6:40 I have never even heard of this game before watching this video. It's amazing how there's still so much I haven't learned. :O

Only game I played of these was Vex but I played it on PS2. Great Video.

I own it, but I've never touched it. I'll definitely give it a try now!
Project zoo ain't good at all especially the game play. The sequel is way better the curse of the were rabbit.
Hope to see you tackle Tork: Prehistoric Punk on your channel sometime! That’s a vastly underrated Xbox exclusive imho
Yeah no one talks about that one much. It's an interesting one!
Blinx the Savior 🙏
🙏

Mad dash!!
They don't make games like these anymore. Everything has to be hyper realistic
nobody ever talks about voodoo Vince. it's such a good game.
Agreed. Such a fun game
I've only recently bought Blinx 2 too but I always wanted to play. Why are Xbox exclusives so peak?
Xbox should remake all of these

I enjoy Pitfall Lost Expedition a good mix of the series, metroidvania and uses items and animations well I think in situations not always but enough.
I think Mad Dash has a place like Tak's racing game even if I prefer the regular platformers. Sonic R did what it could I think.
Dr Muto I think blends things well enough of cartoony/adult and creatures like a Banjo transformations or Space Station Silicon Valley animal abilities.

List does not include the best ones, including Psychonauts, Conker LIVE & Reloaded or Scaler, for exanple.
More! More! More! 😂
Haha definitely will do more!
@@campxbox Should include Dr. Muto in the next one. Seriously underrated game.
