Six Flags would do the country an IMMENSE favor if they brought Mr Six back. How about a commercial where execs ring his door and say, "Sir, we need to have fun again. That mean old virus won't go away" (points to a big effegy of the CV bug sitting on the lawn). Six slowly comes out, pulls out a mega-sized super-soaker, and blasts the virus into outer space! Then we get the explosion of Vengaboys music and dance moves, and the voiceover---"Flu season's over. Come to Six Flags. Fun is back, y'all!!!"
And then COVID-19 happened.

I recently went to SFGAdv and saw Mr. Six’s bus in the storage lot.
The bus used to be parked by Superman for quite a few years.

i went to six flags every summer back in Houston when i was younger, i went from the age of 13 to 18 till the park closed, heck our family went there when it first opened..... so sad its gone now...

Aawww... I miss Mr. Six.. Every time I think of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, the Mr. Six commercial comes to mind. I used to dance with him at the park in Vallejo... How can you not bounce and dance to the music...
Mr. Six was the iconic six flags mascot. Use to love the commercials and got me excited for what was new at the park at Six Flags Great America in 2006.
Mr. Six was the best thing that Six Flags ever had. He will forever be a perfect mascot to Six Flags. Getting rid of him is a true tragedy

I was born and raised in arlington, the location of SF Over Texas, and while I myself loved the commercials in restrospect, I do remember a time around middle school, where all of a sudden, Mr. Six, was deemed as “creepy” or a potential pedo because of the song and the fact that he’s old and always around kids. During that time, the amusement park STRUGGLED to find visitors on a consistent basis. I had a bunch of friends who worked there and they told me management was running the park into the ground. At one point, they would completely waive the cost of admission for an empty can of coke, just to attract attendance… which also didn’t work. If they just didn’t spam/oversaturate the commercials to be on EVERY commercial break for EVERY Saturday morning cartoon, I feel like nobody would’ve ever had a problem with Mr. Six. Even I’ll admit, my teeth grinded everytime I heard that song come on, because it was just so frequent. They had caught lightning in a bottle, but they never closed the lid.
Never saw your channel before! But this is some good content! That sun counter needs to go up, so i subbed. And i have never even been in a Six Flags park! (I did visit some parks that used to be Six Flags, but that doesn't count)

I have honestly never been to a Six Flags. I was apparently taken to Disney once but I was too young to remember. With Hershey Park practically in my back yard and a family friend who worked for HE&R that gave us their tickets, I never needed to go anywhere else.
Now I work for HE&R and get tickets as well, although I tend to be scheduled too much to take advantage of them, myself.
Maybe when I earn a few more vacation days in the next 2 years.

I don’t know why people get upset about a commercial. The idea is to get the viewer’s attention. The Mr. Six commercials did just that and are memorable. The ones that came after weren’t all that memorable I don’t even remember them. Every company should have a mascot.

It's my most sincere and honest hope that Six Flags sees and reads these comments. I've never been to a Six Flags...mainly because the closes to Ohio is either Illinois or Maryland - Been to Illinois, but that was MANY years before Mr. Six. The proximity of a SIx Flags to Ohio is NOT the point of this post...but the fact that I came across the Six Flags commercial with Mr. Six dancing made me smile...smile like I was a "young'un" again. Just watching him dance stirred enough that I wanted to see what it was that made me feel the way I did. Perhaps it was a combination of music and dance, but I'd like to think it was watch "some old dude" dance like there was no tomorrow. Granted, I'm not an Advertising Guru or Executive, but one thing I've watched in life is that over-saturation kills. Yes, you CAN have too much of a good thing, and there is usually a hefty price to pay for it. If a 60-second segment of a 76-second commercial can have the effect on me that it did - smiling, tapping my feet, dancing in my office chair in front of my computers - then it must be doing something right. Do I need to see the segment every to hours...probably not...so limit the amount of times you show Mr. Six. It's not rocket science to figure out that you have something here. SMH...use to, just don't OVER-USE it. I use to sing on stage (a capella), and my goal was simple: leave them wanting more. Bring Mr. Six back, just bring him...and only him...out of his "golden-age retirement," and use it again. Make people smile again...something we're not doing enough of right now.

6:11, Hey wait a sec, dont go trashing DC entirely, they had some good movies, like the orginal Christopher reeve supremans (1-2) and the Batman flicks of the 90s (up until Batman and Robin). Not to mention loony tunes did have Space Jam. Yes DC has been behind Marvel in recent years but they are starting to make a comeback. Regardless, Loved the vid, keep up the good work.

While these are all great qualities for a park, as a slogan, they sound like a word salad. The "More Flags, More Fun" tagline that came some time after was much better.
I remember watching the ads and wishing I could have gone to the park too. problem is, I live in northern Canada. still loved these ads though.
Hopefully you can get to a Six Flags park one day, they can be fun. At least you get the Canadian amusement parks, I'd love to ride Leviathan one day.

Six Flags did so well after canceling Mr. Six that a hurricane hit the New Orleans site and it was shut down permanently. That park only lasted 5 years - three years longer than Mr. Six's original run. Six Flags today is an agglomeration of parks collected over time (Six Flags did not build them all) and is generally regarded as a second tier park behind the ones in Florida run by Annheuser Busch (Busch Gardens), Walt Disney, Sea World, and Universal. They brought him back because they were desperate with all the parks they lost over the years and the runs in with bankruptcy they have had.
The 90s were quite the time to be alive in retrospect.
