Even if someone doesn't want to go all-in on Magma Sorceries, the starting spell, Magma Shot, is a good addition to what would otherwise be a pure sorcery/high INT build. It's only 10 Faith for a pretty reliable fire spell. Like you mentioned in the video, a ton of things are weak to fire in this game, so it's useful all on its own, and if you are running a lot of frost weapons/spells/pots/whatever else, then you can use Magma Shot to reset the Frostbite status and start building it up again for another big burst of frost damage. For instance, you could use Adula's Moonblade or the Death's Poker weapon art to set Frostbite, fry the enemy with Magma Shot, and then go back to the Poker/Moonblade for more Frost. In fact, I like to take it one step further and keep Rock Sling in rotation, too, once I have enough spare spell slots. Most sorceries deal pure magic damage, Magma Shot (or any other magma sorcery) can deal fire damage either for its own sake or to set up more Frostbite, and Rock Sling is a great source of both physical damage and stance-breaking. I love spamming Night Comet at range, but you could also go for more of a magic-fighter build with stuff like Carian Slicer and Gavel of Haima if you want your mage to be in the thick of it. At a glance, sorcery and INT can look pretty limited next to Faith and incantations. With the right incants, a Faith build let you cycle through fire, lightning, and holy damage. INT has a stereotype of being just a bunch of slight variations on blue projectiles. INT has more variety than people give it credit for.
In no way are they overpowered. They can just do some decent damage if built around the same as almost any other spell in the game. Nice video, I just hate how people will say anything is overpowered.
Hey guys first time player here. I'm playing a int. build for my first playthrough and considered to mage a magma/ fire incatations build, basicly int/faith for NG+. Is it viable to do a magma/fire incatations build? Basicly Gelmir staff in one hand and Fire Giants Seal in other???
I think the beautiful thing about this game is anything is possible so I think it’s definitely a viable option and there are some pretty good incantations. You can use that scale well with faith and intelligence
@@pastorgainzgames I read lots of comments that is better to go pure magma sorcery or pure pyromancer incatation so I was curious will the combination actually work??? Do I have to split int/faith 50/50 in that case????
Int/faith 80/80 with Prince of Death staff in main hand and Gelmir staff in off hand. For talismans use Fire Scorpion, Graven Mass, Godfreys Icon and the new Talisman of the Dread and you will be doing great damage. I would advise you to level up to at least between lv. 210-215.
Here's another way to be cheeky with this. Combine it with cold sorceries and the snow witch's hat and you now have a way to prock and reset frostbite to repeatedly get the instant damage on frost bite prock with ease
Magic tear wont do anything, since the spells all deal fire damage. Consider replacing it with cerulean hidden tear or opaline hardtear
Yeah that’s a good idea thanks for lookin out!
Ngl, was thinking it could be cool to pair this with the classic sword of night and flame.
Oh dude that would be a dope pairing
Or Spiked Cracked Tier, cause it boost charged attack and everything on the casting is Charged attack, maybe...

A good replacement for the fire scorpion charm is the talisman of the dread, as it boosts magma by 13% i believe with no down sides
Or you could replace the graven school talisman since the magma talisman gives basically its buff 3 times over…
Should try the the lighting incantation build it’s crazy against big bosses I dealt like 16k damage with one cast
Oh jeeze is that the one u can do with the executioners axe?

lol ok dude thanks for sharing
So true. Pastor kinda a nimrod

@@ivanvoloder8114 I actually don’t know if I do but I know it’s good with like an 80/40 split between faith and int or a 70/30
@@pastorgainzgames Ok, I will take that to consideration. Thanks for the tip.👍
How did it go
What would a good INT/FAITH stat spread be for a level 200 magma build?

Oooo dude that’s legit and reset all the frost with fire
