    Appreciate the vid. I learned how to become better at using my Melodyne. Didn't think about using it on the instrumental😅.

    This doesn’t always seem to work for me. For example, I sometimes extract the various parts from a song using IZotope RX8, and extract the drums as a separate track. I then bring that in to Studio One, but when CTRL-M to edit with Melodyne it just shows the tempo I have the song set to without the number in the brackets. Very odd. If I bring the whole song in that I extracted the drums from instead, it works OK.

      Same, it's quite inconsistant. I have to delete a bunch of copied material, start over, try the same thing 3 times, then sometimes it miraculously works.

    Can someone pleas tell me how to melodyne a vocal that changes BPM. I have a track that jumps up BPM and as soon as the track hits that point, melodyne stops transferring the vocal.

    • @TimTalksAudio
      @TimTalksAudio  2 года назад +1

      Are the vocals in one whole event, or split into many?

    • @fountane

      @@TimTalksAudio It's just one track of vocals.

    Thx Tim, what about time signature changes, can Melodyne detect and put them in the right place or even detect them at all?

    Thanks, this is actually the best way to do it. Would it work if there are tempo changes in the audio sample?
    Cheers!

      an easy work around could be to split the events in S1 before sending to melodyne! then you'll get the calculated BLM for the two events and you can enter in the meter/tempo change!

    Can Melodyne Essential do this? I can’t seem to detect the tempo, no parentheses besides the original 120bpm in Melodyne editor area.

    How do you find the BPM when you only have a guitar track you recorded?

    I’m on a trial version right now and the tempo in parentheses does not come up. Is that only a feature on the paid version?

    Hi Tim I've always had a problem in trying to figure out the tempo of my recordings. Studio one seems to default at 120bpm regardless of whether the recording is fast or slow. I use Melodyne Essential and I loaded in various recordings and then opened meloydyne. I don't get the bracket like it shows on your video. Am I d

    What is the best way to slow down a drum session in Studio One without much artifacting? I have stems - kick, snare etc.

    • @TimTalksAudio
      @TimTalksAudio  3 года назад

      You could just change the session tempo, and make sure the tracks you want to effect are in time stretch mode in the inspector. For Drums, you should use the drum algorithm, and for instruments, use the sound algorithm. I think I might make a video on this! FYI, the more you adjust the tempo difference, the more likely you are to introduce artifacts of time stretching.

    yea... this just doesn't work. You're missing something. the shortcut doesn't work on my mac and I have an expensive melodyne program that I've gotten just about nothing but a headache from for the last 8 months., Seriously... even when it DOES what it's supposed to, it's interface is either too difficult to adjust, or when you do you have an interesting little PUS WART sticking out of your mix where a robot shouts some robot profanity at you... that's what I get..
