Hardcore mode isn’t that bad, IMO it makes the game much more fun because it now forces you to interact with the consumables of fallout without forcing it down ur throat (aside from water which is realistic)
Neat! I'm impressed that fans were able to get this working, when skyrim multiplayer has been notoriously difficult to stabilize. For years and years we wondered what fallout multiplayer would be like, back in the Interplay days we thought it was possibly around the corner. And Tactics was great for a LAN session, when it worked, but that was rare then and now. 76 was a big letdown, and although it's more stable now it's monetization and lackluster story keep most players away from really engaging in a proper multiplayer community experience. But despite the wasteland being an appropriately bleak and lonely place, or perhaps because of it, I think many of us yearn for company there. I think this will probably be the best multiplayer fallout experience for a while.

Don't understand why game companies don't understand you can have multiplayer RPG's without it being an MMO. If modders can do it and prove it works, is loved, popular, and has a dedicated following then there is no reason a multibillion game studio can't. So many RPG fans just want a regular RPG game but with friends. It's really quite simple. We don't need 6 years of DLC, Updates, Skins, and emotes. Just an RPG world with a fun story and good gameplay mechanics with your friends. Closest thing we have to that is the Wasteland series which is made by a small indie studio so of course they understand it. I love this mod team and appreciate it so so much.

Because the brothers neglected me cause they where on a mission for a Goofy ahh laser weapon. Now om stuck dealing with the fiends and am in a near death situation 🙃 wish me luck
All I wanted is just to play coop with my little bro with a bit of RP-ing doing quests and enjoying the story. Unfortunately, it seems the mod was tailored towards huge MP PvP type of game.
me and my friends tried to do this about 3 months ago, and had an issue where if he entered a cell first it crashed, and when i tried to ask on the discord they just either ignored the issue or told me i was doing something wrong with no actual help so dont expect too much from them.
I played this a couple years ago, and it really wasn't fun then. Maybe it's better now, but everyone ONLY cooperated, and very few people were in any of the neutral/evil factions. XP was bugged and farmable, and although groups were open and friendly, there wasn't really much to do, other than build a strong character to be purged at the end of every wipe.
Honestly, a self contained environment inside of New Vegas's map could've been cool for MP. Like it doesn't have to be to deep. But imagine there being a system with the purpose of transporting goods across the map. That's how you earn money, Alternatively you could be a bandit/raider and try ambushing other players to steel the reward and their loot. But you can't be by NPC's otherwise you won't be able to redeem the reward, and will be attacked. You can also go and hunt creatures for gear. More like a standard looting mechanic, but something like killing certain Deathclaws can drop power armor. Wouldn't be the most involving MP out there. But would be pretty cool to do.
kinda like Gojira having tesla remnant armour in it's inventory but only spawning after killing all 4 legendary creatures from the mod New Vegas Uncut 5 - A Wilder Wasteland? by the looks of it, FNV:MP looks like it can handle a few mods and I read a comment saying it's possible to host a private co-op, interesting concept
For me Fallout is/was about immersion, and for this I need good enough story, and good enough environment and atmosphere. What's good here is of course very subjective. For many it's hard or impossible to relate to characters who have had a father or a kid, to others all the circus colors, boring quests and NPCs are super fun as long as they can participate in virtual cosplay, crossdressing parties.
If i want Fallout New Vegas Multiplayer i just go watch Mike and Zack romp around the wasteland killing malcom-clones, talking about how dinky doesn't look to friendly, wondering why a Robot in a cowboyhat has a cigarette addiction, and learning a million and one gunfacts.
It’d be nice if Bethesda or Microsoft saw the success of the Resident Evil 4 remake and did one themselves with New Vegas. If they stayed true to the game and added or tweaked little things, it would be huge.
I've played this a bit but it requires you to subscribe to their patreon AND link that patreon to your discord to get on the server that's actually playable.
@@corporaldude it did when I last played it which was around when it first released a few years ago. This was before they introduced the "Sparks" currency and it was still pretty bare bones with barely anyone on it. I might give it another go soon but I really do not want to get rid of all my mods because it'll take me fucking forever to reinstall them. I'm hoping just deactivating them will do.
I hope this doesn't have tattle tale people like FiveM and Gmod RP has with people on discord complaining about getting killed a certain way in game. Why does everything have to have Discord attached to it nowadays?
New Vegas multiplayer is cool until you realize the admins are soft and don’t allow things like group pvp or roll play that doesn’t fit their idea of what it should be
I wonder if there's proximity chat, or if it'll ever be added. That would make for some more cool encounters since leaving yourself vulnerable by typing in front of a stranger seems like a risk. Then again, I don't really know for sure.
I enjoy these Bethesda multiplayer mods as a concept due to the novelty, but I've never been able to find any fun in them. These games literally aren't built with any multiplayer fun in mind so I immediately go "... what are we even going to do now? Steamroll mobs with terrible AI and no tools to deal with multiple player targets"? The only Bethesda multiplayer I've found interesting is ESO, but that doesn't count since it's LITERALLY an MMO and that's the point. I guess with some RP-heavy mods installed they could make for nifty RP experiences. But yeah, more power to the people that have fun with it though.
Heads up dudes the server is good and all but the staff members suck just be careful what u say and avoid them they will ban u and u cant do anything about it
0:03 yes, literally with every game that single player in the middle of class, and it was always awesome and the only thing that made it confusing was the Cats system and fallout 76..... I haven't played it in so long since it was trash so I can't even remember how they executed the vats system
Vats in 76 is pretty trash, it's basically fallout 4 vats without the slow mo and you can't target specific body parts without a perk card. I just use it to get crits sometimes.
i've been looking into this recently but have been having trouble finding good info. Is this the base of Fallout New Vegas with added MMO elements? How much of the core questing and etc is still intact? This is cool, but I'm mostly just looking to play the game as normal as possible, but with a friend. Should I look elsewhere for that?
Is there a simpler co-op mod? At this point I'm not really interested, and I don't have any friends that play, but I'm always annoyed that when these games get multiplayer, either officially (FO76, ESO) or mods (I remember Skyrim got a mod like this back in the day too) it's always online MMO style. If I'm going to play with someone else, it's going to be my friend(s) and *only* my friend(s). I don't want to deal with random people on the map harassing me
@@BTechUnited yeah the whole discord part of this was an instant turn-off. I'm not a programmer, I have no idea what a better solution might be, but im sorry that just seems way too sketchy to me...
hey, for your nexts secrets video, i noticed that all the reflections in fallout 4 are the same image. its like they have a reflection.png that they use for reflections on glass. i saw it on one of the porta diners, but im pretty sure you can see the reflection from your scope. basically, its an image of concord or something, but it doesn’t matter where you are its always concord in the reflection
I'd bet a lot of games handle scope reflections like that, it'd too much for console too manage Picture in picture reflections for a small detail like that in an already console resource demanding game. I cant remember if vanilla FO4 even has PIP for scopes, assuming it does that's a detail players could've most likely been nit picky with the game so devs felt it needed to go in. scope reflections not so much, as long as it looks better than FO3 they're in the clear I've always thought it was concord too

You should try it to see your take on it
How do you mess up an online platform so bad that you are required to use Discord
Mantis I have watched your content for a long time. This is by far one of your best videos yet. Keep it up.
Friend brought me here, subscribed and holy crap i didnt know u could do stuff like this omg
Just joined today. Love it.
Damn, Fallout multiplayer sounds awesome. Wish Bethesda would get on that idea
This will extend fallout newvegas life for years to come
Benny: What in the goddamn...??
One courier: you fucked up.
Another: you missed.
Third: and you didn't listen to the radio.
Holy shit I need this!
As if choosing cringe was ever anything to be proud of.
Lucky for people out there who play NVMP on their PC.
It does not.
Anyone can play, you don't need to be involved in any Patronage.
Well, I have been playing it since 2018 and thats just not true lol
I like the mod reviews, pretty cool
It’s kinda funny that whether it’s 76 or NVMP, the community is strangely welcoming
So literally fallout 76 with a different coat of paint, i might check this out
Wish Bethesda would make a “Tom Clancy’s the Division” gameplay styled Fallout
I'm not into multiplayer but I hope someone else can enjoy this multiplayer mod
I hope this doesn't have tattle tale people like FiveM and Gmod RP has with people on discord complaining about getting killed a certain way in game. Why does everything have to have Discord attached to it nowadays?
NVAC - New Vegas Anti Crash is a fucking nuisance I've been installing 4 times since I put that mod.
There is for text and voice chat.
I would legit enjoy if they did NV a local multiplayer for Consoles. (I don't see that possible but i can dream)
This mod can do local-private multiplayer but on PC of course
8:22 that reload animation. WTH is going on with that combat shotgun
Wow this is so much better than the old NVMP
NVMP is top tier and I love playing it with my friends. And to the fucking genius that made it work, I pat you on the back
i used to be an enclave sergeant in nvmp it was fun
as of this day im still stuck in south vegas aka CHIRAQ PLEASE HELP!!!!
😂
How does loot work? Like unique items and such. Are there duplicate items for everyone to grab?
Unique items can be acquired by anyone so long as they find them or do the quests to get them.
Each player as their own instance in game. think of it as your own single player instance but you can see other people as well and play with them.
Heads up dudes the server is good and all but the staff members suck just be careful what u say and avoid them they will ban u and u cant do anything about it
sooo can you play in a private server with some friends?
@@ChudSneedem good to hear that
Why is it set for hardcore if people just bypass the mechanics?
So heals only heal you overtime and ammo has weight
@@lynton63 is it possible to have a server where hardcore mode is enforced?
Cool mod but my spec are way to trash to be doing mp in nv, saw my freind playing it and bum rushed quarry junction as a squad looked fun af
i promise you can run it
@@realballfondler my cpu says other wise
You can quest, I have been doing a lot of them. Its janky but it works.
@@TKsMantis awesome thank you
Makes me wonder what does MikeBurnFire use for their FONV co-op playthrus
Custom companion mod, it's not true multilayer (I believe they tried, but it was so unreliable it made recording non-viable)
Clever editing and a modded companion, pretty sure they've put that in the description of their videos for years
I gotta try this soon looks fun
Fun Fact:
The "Entering Combat" message is actually the VATS Tutorial Popup, you just can't use VATS.
I don't want to deal with random people on the map harassing me
Not to mention the irony of a tacked on multilayer for a decade+ old game has a core requirement of a data harvesting chat service. Very cool.
I cant remember if vanilla FO4 even has PIP for scopes, assuming it does that's a detail players could've most likely been nit picky with the game so devs felt it needed to go in.
scope reflections not so much, as long as it looks better than FO3 they're in the clear
I've always thought it was concord too
Big up the enclave faction on the server
Imagien if they got voice modifiers and play as the enclave
Thank you me and my bf wished to play nv co-op this shall help
i thought NV-MP servers were offline cause they could do it anymore, i played a few years ago before they closed the servers
Ah steam only
I love Xbox Gamepass New Vegas!
*I totally love it!*
Its fucking funny asf see yourself in the chat without knowing that Mantis is playing
Having pvp always on will cause the game population to die.
Oh another layer of social media in my games
Can I use Vortex as the main way to install things like JIP LN and NMC textures?
Is there a version that just lets you and a couple of friends play together?
im pretty sure this is the mod for that just gotta create a private server
i wanna see what happens when everyone defaces the hoover dam memorial in boulder city
