can you talk about hospital affiliations with practitioners our group practices and how it works when enrolling with a payer?

There are different types of hospital affiliations and/or memberships and it all depends on how a provider wants to be affiliated, or if a payer requires a specific type of affiliation in order to contract with a group or provider. Not all insurances require a group or provider be affiliated, it is payer-to-payer based. Some just have privileges other have admitting rights and some are required to do some kind of "service" for the system in order to stay affiliated. It just varies.
