I would love a comparison of full-faced helmets, interests now include the tsg pass, predator dh6-xg, and the triple eight downhill racer 2. I like the view and eye/chin protections offered without resorting to using a bobble-headiness, dot certified M/C helmet
No, but it is close. The visor or my glasses only fog up if I wear a mask with the helmet when I go on group rides. But only if my mask covers my nose.
Maybe. It is a little hassle getting my glasses on, but I can do it. An xl may make it easier, but then it may not give the same protection if its too big for your head. My glasses also have thicker arms whoch may contribute to the difficulty.
What stick is that which you are holding in the mirror to record with you phone? Also do you think a full face helmet is really necessary if it wasn't for the cold? I can't really afford a helmet with how much I've spent on my build so I thought I'll at least get the triple 8 helmet. For reference, I have never rode my previous budget esk8 with a helmet and never wear one while riding a bike. I've almost always landed on my feet because I don't go too fast. I use esk8 to commute at 20-40kph.
That is my dji osmo 3. Bought it a while ago. Good to keep the phone balanced. Most people don't need a full face, but there is always a chance that you might smash your face into the ground and loose some teeth. Full face helmets just help for that peace of mind. If you ride an euc, I would highly recommend a full face. But for me the number one reason was the cold air was making my eyes water even though I was wearing glasses. So the full face help solve that problem.
I find it more comfortable when its cold out and wind is kicking. I have seen a few people scrape their face and that was only riding on paved surfaces not even trails. That being said I rarely use my full face helments unless its really cold out. Full face helmets make it hard for me to drink.
I actually was able to remove the pad with a little struggle. I then thinned out the pad a little bit using my proxxon hot wire cutter. It fit better by doing that, and with time it fits even better. The company I bought it from was suppose to send me extra pads but they never did.
@@seerjay2288 my concern really is just the cheek area. Full face helmets tend to be tight there for me. I am wearing a Ruroc RG1-DX M/L currently and want to make the switch.
@@mchengdds yup, I thinned the cheek pads. That was tight causing my cheeks to go between my teeth if I opened my mouth. Taking out the foam pad and thinning it out then replacing helped a lot. More use also helped, but really cutting the pad thinner helped the most.
Here is a weird one, I am thinking of getting this helmet for my summerboard, however we use nearly identical helmets for sport skydiving. Does the visor just pop open or do you need to put some tension on it to unlatch it. Will it stay closed at 140 mph???
The lid has some tension to it but not a real latch (maybe a ratchet system. I will reply again if it is different. Not at home right now.) and there is a little lip at the bottom for you to put your finger under to help lift it. I do not know if the wind at 140 mph will catch that lip and fling your visor up however. I hope that helps.
Jimmy Chang! If it were not for your videos, my wife may have never let me get a onewheel. Thank you brotha! Love my tsg. It's my go to cold weather helmet. Hard to put my glasses on with it. But doable after I trimmed the check paddingdown a few mm. Also the trimming helped with the biting of my cheeks. If I do wear my glasses, sometimes in the cold my glasses will fog depending if I am also wearing a mask or not.
I’m have a 57cm head, the manufacturer site recommends a medium for 57-58cm heads. In your experience as your head is the same as mine was the large a good fit? Like yourself I wear glasses
@@boony213 mt cheeks were getting compressed by the pads. I had to remove the pads and thin the foam out with a hot wire cutter. Now it fits perfectly. I can get my eyeglasses in now too, but it takes a little work as my eyeglass's have wide arms.
I use it for when it's really cold and riding street. But now I ride mostly mtb trails. But sometimes I also just use my snowboard helmet and goggles as I like to drink stuff when I ride. That being said with the gt out now, I find myself pushing speed harder on street and trails so I am padding up. For a nice leisurely ride it is probably way more than you need.
Not a problem. I am glad it is helping people. I hear just fine with the helmet on. There is some wind noise sometimes, but not bad. It is hard for me to keep my earbuds in for some reason though.

il est plus léger qu'un casque de moto. et ne me semble pas lourd lorsque je le porte.
That little fog blocker does it touch your mouth? cause for me there is a lot of space between my mouth and the blocker
No, but it is close. The visor or my glasses only fog up if I wear a mask with the helmet when I go on group rides. But only if my mask covers my nose.

Just slide your glasses on when the helmet is on. Over time it moldes to your head

Is a full face helmet really necessary for a One Wheel? Don’t them max out around 20mph??

Nice choice I got the scorpion full face but removable chin
Love my helmet so far. Great for the cold weather. I did have to wear contacts though as wearing a mask fogs up my glasses still.
How’s the fit of the helmet after wearing it for awhile, does the cheek area loosen up a bit?
I actually was able to remove the pad with a little struggle. I then thinned out the pad a little bit using my proxxon hot wire cutter. It fit better by doing that, and with time it fits even better. The company I bought it from was suppose to send me extra pads but they never did.
