    ...
In honor of Veteran's day 2022, Arkansas born singer songwriter, veteran, and all around great human, Baker aka Gravedancer performs his heartfelt tune about not giving up, "The Strongest Stuff."
Baker has been one of those unicorn type artist that we’ve been trying to nail down for far too long.
We first heard about Baker's music from our pal Nick Shoulders. He would often drop his name for suggestions of songwriters to look out for. We were eager to grab a video with him, unfortunately, Covid and schedules kept us from coming together. He was touring with Shawn James (another artists we’d been trying connect with) when we found a way to cross our paths.
“The songs I write are generally sad in their nature, but don't expect anything resembling a serious conversation out of me in person." says Baker.
He really wanted to play us a song that was more reflective of who he is in conversation and less "sad" than what is typically known for in his songwriting. In this conversation he started telling us about his time serving and being a veteran and then played us a few bars of this song. We knew within the first line that this was the right song. The struggles of war time and the veterans that return are real. Whether or not you agree with the justification for a war, we should all agree that our neighbors and friends are struggling. Check in on your friends, especially the strong ones.
Veteran suicide is an epidemic, if you or someone you know is struggling check out this link or call 988 theactionalliance.org/veteran...
    We love you.

Release the strain of needing to change the way you feel instead of giving yourself a fucking break. Worthy of being awake even in your current state. Love waits beyond those gates. Been sober since 2007. This song does not just touch and help veterans (God be with them all). Just wanted to say Thank you. I think about going back a lot. Finding those "joys in life" gets harder and harder as time goes by it seems. What makes me so GD mad is things wouldn't be this bad if only America could go back. I miss how people use to be before technology and the great genocide of our integrity.
