Plus 100 for that observation . I just listened to another version of this piece ruined by hammering away at certain parts in the name expression. It totally ruined the listening experience.
There are so many ways to play the gnossiennes of Satie. I think lots of versions don't fit with the mysteriousness (just my opinion), but I really like the way you play it! Well done 👌👍 Please record the rest of the gnossiennes :) I play 1, 2, 3 and 4. Now learning number 5.
I love this piece and I have heard many interpretations of it, but in this one, I would say that at times it becomes too slow, and I feel a little uncomfortable with her intentional slowing down of the tempo. A real pleasure to hear it nevertheless.
Türkiye'den selamlar Gnossienne No. 1 en sevdiğim parçalar arasında ilk sırada. Bu müzik ruhumu yansıtıyor. Gayet güzel çalıyorsun seni tebrik ediyorum. Takibe aldım :)
New to the piano (CLP-745)...with some music theory experience. This will be my first classical piece. Grade 5 so it might take a bit of time. With hand independence it would be much faster but I probably won't have that until 4 - 6 months in. Working the first 13 bars at present.
That’s awesome (nice choice of piano too!). Good luck. The trickiest part of this piece is not necessarily the notes themselves, but the balance between the hands. Try to bring out the right hand melody as much as possible. Left hand as the accompaniment must be much softer. Use arm weight to help with the LH chords. As the melody goes higher, go louder, if it goes down, play softer. The grace notes (very quick notes) can also be tricky to get consistent throughout the piece. But overall interpretation and storytelling is important-the emotion and mysterious nature of the music must come through. Last but not least: don’t be afraid to play this piece slowly. Tempo marking is “slow”, after all! Hope this helps and thank you for watching! 😄
Thank you for your comment :) I record the sound through the piano via USB. This is the default sound with a little added reverb. Then I increase the volume in my video editor and link the audio file with the video recording.
C'est bien. Bonne interprétation. Piano d'étude ou d'expression? Qu'elle marque ? Merci. J'avoue que j'apprécie pas vraiment Satie, je joue celle-ci,c'est reposant....(Après Chopin...).
Hey, nice playing! Does your instrument have a built-in microphone? I don’t see any external mics, but the sound quality is so clear it sounds like there's one positioned close to the piano!
Thank you for watching! The piano has its own audio recorder, I just use a USB to record the audio file. The sound is the default for the piano, I just add a little reverb so it doesn’t sound too dry. Then in my video editor I just increase the volume of the audio file and line it up nicely with the video :)
Thank you! I record through my piano via USB. I increase the reverb slightly and record the audio, then in my video editing software I just increase the decibels of that audio file until it is loud enough without any distortion, and remove the live video sound. Hope this helps!
The audio comes from the piano via USB drive, then I use the video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro/Rush) to increase the volume. But the sound itself is standard with the instrument. :)
4:16 - BRAVO 👏 👏👏
played oh so beautifully. My favourite piece, melancholic yet so....intriguing. Thankyou.
Thank you for watching!
Amber doesn't hammer away at this which gives it a much more emotional tone
Thanks for your comment, Mark! I tried my best to follow Satie’s instructions specifically regarding the dynamics and tempo of the piece.
Plus 100 for that observation . I just listened to another version of this piece ruined by hammering away at certain parts in the name expression. It totally ruined the listening experience.
So True!
this music makes me realize how small the world is, you’re amazing.
Thanks for watching!

Thank you very much. I would love to learn the rest of them sometime! Hope you are enjoying learning them 😁
It's obvious Amber feels the music, her lightness of touch and timing is breath-taking. Heard too many "clompy" versions. Many thanks.
@@andylec5879 thank you for your comment! Very kind.
What a pianist you are !!! Congratulations
Thank you very much!
The timing and dynamics are just perfect.
Thank you!

Nice white 🎹 I like this medley by ravel amber u ur a goddess..❤
This is really good, and that piano (upright I assume) sounds really good too.
Thank you so much! It is a digital piano :)
Very good Performance
Thanks!
Beautiful version, I love it, very smooth and clean. I have a question, what do you use to record it and have such a clean sound ? Thank you
Thank you for your comment :) I record the sound through the piano via USB. This is the default sound with a little added reverb. Then I increase the volume in my video editor and link the audio file with the video recording.
Really good sound for a digital piano. For what it's worth, though, I like my Satie to be a lot more weird and snarky with lots more rubato and stuff.
Thank you! Yes I do agree, this is quite a safe performance in that regard. Thanks for watching :)

Thank you! Study and expression is good with this piano. It is a digital Yamaha Clavinova. The piece is very relaxing :) I like Chopin too!
Very well played 👏
I think I have the same electric piano as you🤩
Thank you for watching! It is a great piano 🎹

so beauti
Cool! Tell me please how did you record the sound? Through MIDI cable with some VST plugin? Or just microphone?

@@AmberMPiano thanks! And which audio software do you use to record your piano?

@@AmberMPiano ok, understood, thank you! :)
i love you
