Other than the exhaust I love it. Im a fan of superchargers as adders as they keep the original feel of the car but more of it. I am anxious to see what the 2.4 is like supercharged.
Yeah that’s the IRP short shifter it reduces throw by 60%. One added benefit is instead of being transmission mounted and wobbling all over the place when you potentially get wheel hop it stays perfectly still regardless of transmission movement because it’s chassis mounted
Running the same kit with a bukt bottome end, closed deck stock compression with blox throttle body and custom Delicious tune, stock headers, overpipe and front pipe with a catback man the is total beast when you supercharge it 🔥🔥
Lol I got a flat foot shift tune on my Cosworth frs but I've only done it a couple times over the 5 years I've had it... and I think they were all on accident lol
In terms of recording I just strapped one of those cheap GoPro hero cameras to the back bumper. As for exhaust I’m running a JDL unequal length headers with an HKS duel resonated front pipe and an invidia r400 cat back.
Stock block is pretty good up to about 10 or 11 psi of boost. Weak point in the FA20 is the rods which will bend especially once you start making significantly more low end torque. So its safe to run this supercharger on a stock engine but i would for sure look at a new clutch and fuel pump upgrade so that you can really take advantage of this engines higher compression ratio with E-85. You might make 315 HP on 93 octane and 420 HP on E-85 just because of how much safer it is in regards to knock resistance. It allows you to advance the timing more and it naturally cleans the engine and smells great! Any more power than that and you'll really need to look at building the engine and a company called L.A. Sleeve did a write up about a build where they did just that and got 500HP out of one. So check that out if you want to see a sweet build!
I had it on the car for about 25,000 miles before I sold the car and remove the kit. During that time it ran perfectly even on a very aggressive map. Currently I’m selling the entire kit plus an oil cooler for 2500.
How has your reliability been? Any issues with the car? How many miles have you put on it? I've been wanting to supercharge mine, just wanted to see how other people have faired.
@@NateandSelena if everything else is stock he’s probs running 250 to the wheel. add better fuel injectors, fuel pump, and a tune, he could possibly run 300 to the wheel with e85 which is fucking great for frs/brz/86.

This is a supercharged system, anti-lag is usually done for turbo chargers. What you’re hearing is rolling launch control, which holds the RPMs about one thousand RPM higher so when you drop the clutch it gives you a pretty hard pull.
@@vladislavsitnikov8188 how did you initiate that while driving? Shit i want that. Im currently running a rotrex c30 kit flex fuel e85 full catless. I need this!
There are two ball bearings on which the shifter pivots forward and backward. I guess the tolerances in the bearings aren't very good which causes them to rattle. I replaced mine with cylindrical bearings (rather than using balls they use tiny cylinders as rollers) and that fixed the problem for me.
Reminds me of my first car 1975 2 door Corolla. Lots of noise but no rapid acceleration. Pipe is too loud. It’s definitely not like my s15 I used to have with big turbo and Tomei race exhaust and screamer pipe. Loud pipes sound better with more boost and rapid acceleration.
