Don't know what some of you are talking about - the floor has the effect of a stormy water with a lot of foam and bubbles as it should be. Really nice work I have never and most likely will never do a epoxy floor but I really like these kind of videos!

Lots of people don’t like this video or the results, or the time commitment, etc... that’s okay... it’s their opinion. I myself don’t care for the process or end result either, but it’s still a very informative and comprehensive instructional video.
Everyone needs to understand that just because someone doesn’t agree with another person, it doesn’t mean that either one hates the other ... we can agree to disagree and move past!

Right? Like who would want carpet in there office where people want in and out all week. Epoxy is perfect for commercial, and residential it just depends on the home owner who by all means can do whatever they want with there floor ugly or not.

if you make the paint can of part A slightly larger, part B fits in with it. then you do not need an extra bucket. if you put part B in a bottle then you do not need a special scraper. and if you take paint cans without a border you can easily take out all your paint.

Your work is absolutely fascinating. I have never seen this done. As a DIY project I have several questions about the procedure since they were not discussed. What are requirements for preparing the concrete for the floor kit. I.E. new concrete, old concrete having ceramic tile, old concrete having previous carpet, old concrete having vinyl flooring? Wish you would have shown a close up of the separation of the product in the restroom. How long after applying the first coat do you have to wait before walking on it? Why walk on spikes after the first coat? What are you mixing after the primer: i.e. how much epoxy (are there two parts in the mix; if so what are they and how much of each; how much color per epoxy in 5 gallon bucket? Once spreading with the squeegee then rolling, I notice you walking on the rolled part with the spike shoes, do you need to roll back over the steps you made? Once the floor is rolled, how long must wait before adding highlights? What is the work time for each product application in the work steps? What happens if you use the isopropyl alcohol on the metallic white color? When you started the second batch to join the first, what happens to the white that is on the second batch floor part before the metallic is poured? If the isopropyl alcohol got on the "second batch" floor before pouring the silver metallic base, do you have to clean up the alcohol? Walking on the floor with the spikes while adding the alcohol, what problems does it present before finishing the floor? What does "flash off" mean? So basically before adding the double b urethane and matte (what is the mixing procedure for the double b urethane and matt), what should the epoxy coat on the floor "feel like" before adding the top coat? In other words, should it be extremely "sticky", or maybe a little "tacky" etc.? What do you mean by "if the epoxy is really soft"? What is "deshedding the roller"? What is meant by "getting 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 roller with per dip in roller tray" is this the overlap on previous strokes of the roller? What happens where the roller stops short of the wall and you can see the roller mark (approximately 42:30 wall opposite of door opening behind the man rolling the floor? What do you do if a roller line was missed and dried? What is the procedure for fixing a drip mark that was missed and has dried? How would you fix a "skipped spot" that was discovered after applying the urethane b and matte finish coat was applied and dried? FASCINATING GREAT WORK!!! Just one more thing, for all those geniuses that are complaining and don't think the work was done "right and/or the colors were bad", they should produce a video on their "proper procedures & colors to be used" just to teach us how it should be done. Keep up the fascinating work.

this is grate clip i do textures on the wall but i never done epoxy yet. i have few question about timings, you never menationed the timings, only the one you mentioned it is for the top coat only,
1-- you didn't mentioned when will you apply the silver metallic epoxy, is it next day? or after well hard dried out?
2-also the timing of white highlight, will you apply it on while epoxy still runny-soft?
3- the 91% isopropyl clear, soo as you finish applying the white highlight?
4- the topcoat you already mentioned it next day or as long won't show your foot prints should be ok.
i also watched your kitchen bench with 3 colours, that was excellent as well as this one.
please reply me back if possible.
    thank you

  • @ricobertoo1000
    @ricobertoo1000 3 года назад

    Few questions:
What about if I don't want the white highlight. Just the silver. ( or any other color)
Normally this videos are showing flat nice surfaces .with no pitch. Drains. Cracks. uneven substrates. How the silver product will be applied with a squeeze? It is self leveling? If it is.. wil be thicker near the drains. I will loose my drain pitch? . On the other hand. Great video!. But I'm not a guy that that likes look a like marble on my floors. Just solid color. Sealed. And my questions above to be answered before I buy this product. Thanks! Great job! Hopefully you answer my questions

This could look good in one single colour. To me this "faux marble" look is indeed a bit too faux. I find this an interesting product though and I have a couple of questions:
    - Is it possible to create a hard line in between two solid colours (black and white for instance) instead of having them flow into each other?
    - Is it possible to make it look like a tiled floor?
    - Can it be used in combination with in-floor heating/cooling? What are the thermo-physical properties like R-value or lambda-value?
    - Would it be possible to use this on the risers (vertical plane) of a staircase, to create a continuous, flowing staircase where tread and riser become one element?
    - If used for a counter-top is it possible to create a drip, or rather anti-drip, edge?
    - Is this available in or do you ship to Europe?

I too noticed how there were no footprints when you were stepping on it while applying. Why is that? It would get kind of hard not to step on it while doing it all at one time. Love how this style looks on counters and floors. If in the garage how would it hold up with say gas oils etc getting spilled on it?

He is wearing spiked shoes so he does not track the epoxy everywhere. Our epoxy is 100% solid resin and cleans up very easy and can withstand oil, gas, etc.

Was hoping you would have a video on prep requirements. Not really the BEGINNING. Will your primer adhere to old paint?

I just poured a concrete slab for my new house. How long do I need to wait for the concrete to cure and dry before I can apply an epoxy floor?
