Aww, lovely idea. We lost our Jack Russell, Sid, last week. Absolutely heartbroken. I was just looking for ideas on what to make with his old food and water bowl. We're putting his old hard basket outside and putting an ornament and some pots in there, so I'll add the bowl planters too. I know it's been over two years now but lots of love for losing Bobbi xxx

Beautiful doggo! I just lost my pup last week and have been sleeping with his bowl every night since and I can’t/won’t throw it away. I saw someone in a support group on Facebook say this is something they’ve done as well, so I thought I’d research and I absolutely love it!
I was wondering, are there any other plants besides succulents that could also be suitable for this?

I’m really sorry to hear about your dog 😔 it’s really difficult! You could put a small bonsai in there. Or I think pothos would do ok too since they’re quite easy going. Careful with watering if you’re not going to drill a hole 💚💚💚
