I’m a bit astonished that there are so few user videos on the Tipke Foldit. I just got a folding e-bike for beach vacations and have been scheming to determine how I can use a bicycle trailer as a beach cart with few if any compromises. After months, I stumbled upon the Foldit. Unbelievably, it’s been around since the late 80’s and switches from wheelbarrow handles to bike yoke. Plus, it’s relatively lightweight, yet strong and it collapses into a flat pack for travel/ storage! Thanks for documenting your use case!
Great video. My wife bought me this same trailer for Fathers Day about 15 years ago. Thought it was too expensive when she gave it to me, but still looks almost new after weekly use either for our boat (walk to slip is about 1/4 of a mile from parking lot), 50-60 weekly beach trips with family and general around the house usage. Amazing trailer and will last forever. Reason I came across your video is that I am considering purchasing the bike handle and attachment, so was conducting a search for that part. Plan to order from West Marine soon. Thanks for taking the time to do this video!👍
I like this new Burley trailer...I am a trailer lover....I have done bicycle tours of 35 000km with trailers...last year was 8 821km with a Burley Nomad...please put Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyers on...not a single puncture...i use it on my touring biks as well...no punctures...I also have a Bob single wheel trailer but I fancy the Burley single wheeler....Anyways...because I use these trailers only for touring...it need a waterproof rollup bag for the inside....and off you go.Reason why I dont like panniers is that it put too much weight on your bike....people normally ask...is trailers more difficult to pull than riding with panniers...my answer is ....train with your trailer....when I cycled around Australia...I was 53 I did up to 200km with a specially build trailer...it had a water tank of 25lt in....the base of the trailer was a watertank....Just a bit of useless information....mate...enjoy your touring....nice trailer....also nice and compact if you have to take it on a plane !! I also love what you said....you can load up everything...and start walking ...thats brilliant....
There are two different front gates for this trailer. The full gate, which is what I have. And a half gate that you use if you are attaching the trailer to a lawn tractor.
I wouldn’t use eyebolts and the reason is because I don’t know how to explain it but it’s gonna it’s gonna bend the metal on the side kind of like a well. It would look like the letter J flat on one side and you can bolt it to the side of thatgives you something more stable
Very nice trailer and a very different approach with the wheels. I wouldn't worry about the editing, that was a very informative video overall for a brand I have never come across before. Can you tell me what are the internal dimensions of the trailer? What weight is the complete trailer empty? Being solid galvanised sections, is it quite noisy pulling it behind especially when it is empty? And finally if you will, the price. Thanks very much and well done! 💯
Thank you. The trailer is 33 pounds. It is not noisy except when you hit a big bump, then it makes a little bit of rattling sounds, but loaded its very quiet. The trailer was just under $500.00 with the additional purchase of the front gate. As far as the dimensions I don't have them right off hand, but you can view the dimension on-line if you look up Tipke Fold-it trailer. Hope this helps.
If you are recording with a phone youcut is a good easy free editor. That trailer looks amazing but between that nylon linkage and the price its a no for me. I'd love to find a decent sturdy trailer. I hate the axle mount ones.
You know everybody wants a Hollywood production I like these rough rock cuts like this. That’s the way they’re supposed to be. I am unsubscribing to people that go Hollywood. I just don’t like it. What is everything have to be so perfect nowadays everybody wants perfection. There’s nothing perfect.

I will give dimensions in my next video. As far as weight , it can haul 200 pounds with the bicycle hitch and 330 pounds with the other set of handles.

Too bad you can't fold it into a hand truck and make it universal. Maybe they'll make a smaller one like a hand truck that hitchrd to a buke or hip harness for a bag trolly or game cart for hunting.
This was a very good video. It was a very good video. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to share with us a trailer.
You are welcome sir.

I just ordered some Schwable tires for it yesterday. I run them on the big dummy also.
Nice video and well explained thanks.

That is a cool Trailer I like the Central Towing Arm much better than the One sided tow type vert clever folding nice video
Thank you.
The front gate is bought was not as nice but i made it work with some insert rivets

@@CargoBikeCowboy I don't know how yours is so sturdy my gate fell of today and two inconsiderate ppl ran it right over while I was waving them down
@jayhoody121 that really sucks. People can be so inconsiderate. Next time I'm near my trailer, I'll make a video showing how mine attaches.

Trailer muito original para espaços pequenos.
Não tenho uma bicicleta dessas com a Traseira tão estendida. My bad?
It will work on any normal bicycle. The hitch will attach to your seat post.

Maybe you should hit TIPKE up with your idea. You never know.
for the record, nylon IS a type of plastic
My point should have been that its a piece of plastic that's not brittle and has some flex to it. Feels like a piece of cutting board material.
Love the trailer , can you give me the web site where I can purchase one
