    I did not have to drill the Beam LED's out. I think my car had halogen light bulbs. No decoder messages on my 05 Prius either.
    I would advise to carefully note how the boot comes off - as paying very close attention saved me a lot of time vs prior attempts. The boot fit over the LED bulb and the heat sink no problem. Thanks for the great video.

    Thanks for the video. Were you able to twist the assembly into the plastic mounting brackets that you install under the rubber cover? For me it's really difficult and every time I think I got it I give the assembly a tug and it pulls right out.

      I have not any trouble, they are sitting there since I installed them

    Hi mate. Thanks for the instruction video. Could you please share with us the size of the dust cover boot that you used to cover up the headlight bulb? Cheers.

    For your car, is the downroad light better with LED versus HID? Generally, HID is considered the best automotive lighting. Thank you

      it's known that HID lights are very bad on second generation Prius, I did this upgrade because leds are much better, the light is super and looks cool too

    Can this be done straight from HID KIT on my 07 Prius. I'm having so much trouble with the HID Bulbs. I'm having to swap them out in less than a year every time. How reliable is this conversion? Thanks

    • @Petruccio1881
      @Petruccio1881  4 года назад +2

      the reason for this swap was not reliable HID bulbs and poor light quality, this conversion works great, without any problems and visibility at night is super now. I could not find anything for HID headlight assay, so I changed them to halogen headlights and installed LED H4 bulbs, thanks for your comment.

    Is this originally a HID or Halogen? Also how has the LED been? No one flashing at you, etc? I was told the Halogen casing made the position of a LED bulb bad so everyone gets blinded but would love to know if you've had issues with that

    • @Petruccio1881
      @Petruccio1881  3 года назад +3

      Priuses come with HID and halogen headlights too. My leds work great, after installation I adjusted headlights and I passed vehicle technical inspection test, that's why nobody gets blinded, so in my opinion it is upgrade rather then downgrade

    Will the LED's fit into the HID headlight or do you have to buy new headlights?

    • @Petruccio1881
      @Petruccio1881  3 года назад +1

      yes, you have to change headlights, here is a video how I did it - ruclips.net/video/1ONP78S7qXc/видео.html

    Did your prius originally have HID’s or halogens? My 06’ prius has HID’s and I’m not sure about how to connect beamtech LED’s

    I was gonna swap/downgrade to halogen headlight to install 3tab prong connector to H4 LED....
    (GOOGLE says illegal/too bright direct light/blind drivers)
    (Must have (Factory D2R"eflector" HID) reflector housing for indirect lighting)
    --Different Car bulbs require different reflector housings...

      My headlights are halogen H4, so refloctors are correct for this H4 LED bulbs. After installation I adjusted headlights and I passed vehicle technical inspection test, that's why nobody gets blinded, so in my opinion it is upgrade rather then downgrade

    Stupid question, is it both headlights who need to be drilled?
    I bought the same one, and one fit properly the one nearby the fuse box, but the other one it’s a nightmare, any idea?
    Thanks

    • @Petruccio1881

      I drilled both and fits very well now, thanks for watching

    Does this setup blind people?

  • @rrivera4444
    @rrivera4444 5 лет назад +3

    IS IT JUST THIS TYPE OF LED THAT NEEDS TO BE REDRILLED?

    • @Petruccio1881
      @Petruccio1881  5 лет назад

      on prius gen 2 this particular leds need to be redrilled to fit in the soket

    • @Petruccio1881
      @Petruccio1881  5 лет назад +2

      I would recommend you to order another model of Beamtech leds with rounded alloy cooler, so you don't have to drill them for fitment
