Looks nice, I've been thinking about getting one of these and the video made my mind up. I only go pleasure fishing for the day so sandwiches do me. But this is perfect for camping and using tinned stuff is quicker and easier and less mess to clean up. I'll be trying this recipe as well.
@@RidgeMonkeyUK I am i bought it a couple of days ago and tried the pie recipe i really enjoyed and so did my family. I can't wait to do cook more things in it. I'll have to save up and buy the one with the steamer in it as well.
What are your thoughts on using metal implements on the Ridgemonkey? I notice you use a steel knife to cut the pie open… could this potentially damage the non-stick surface? Thx!
that looked lovely mate, all the people moaning about the cans you are just showing the easiest way of making a quick pie, if you want to cook your mince and potatoes first crack on but I think I would probably go for the canned method considering most people on the bank just eat pot noodles 😂, tinned new potatoes, peas and some tinned beef and gravy doesn't sound that bad to me!
Thanks for this , good ideas , for the cooking snobs saying that its not real cooking , more fool them. Take the processes and modify to suit there own gastronomic excellence.
Who the hell is making pies on the side of the bank.... no offence to this bloke but bring back joe Morgan when he use to knock something up that normal people eat!!!
I wish you were still making videos like this Simon.

Good to see cans of food then making it from scratch as I wouldn’t take all the fillings and everything else I would just take couple of cans👍

Is that mini stove or pro?
Rinse the spuds first and dry them with kitchen towel to take away the tinned taste.
On my round right now..
So you advertise not to use a metal utensil, and ya using a metal spoon in it 😂😂
