Hey, this guide is SUPER long. I apologize...but I promise, there is so much good information in this. From beginners to advanced. This took a lot of time...its literally an hour and 3 minutes long. Why was a delay on "some" uploads. This took ton of time. Enjoy my Wattson lovers! I truly hope this video helps. I love wattson!
Please dont apologize for that, i wish there was more content like this on youtube Most of the people dont thinks it worth to share this mutch knowledge, even if this video was twice as long i still would watch all it
While Q'ing you also have a small blue circle on your screen with 12 dots around it. Each empty dot represents how many fences you can place until you reach 12 active ones.
as a bit of an extension on what you were talking about at around the 4:30 mark, you don't have to place a fence to pick them up with right click, as long as you can re-engage a node with your tactical button, you can use right click to pick up the node that you re-engaged with immediately. I've found this really useful when you've fenced up a building/door, have no nodes left and someone throws an arc/frag nade where it will break your fence. if I see it, I just re-engage the fence, right-click twice to pick up both nodes while staying out of nade damage radius, and then after the nade blows you can put the fence up safely again
You are such a beacon of knowledge, thankyou so much for such a long guide on Wattson. Would love a part 2 because it feels like there’s always more to learn with her
It's so interesting how Wattson was among the last 3 legends I still had to unlock, but now she's my main (I started midway season 13). Her kit just seemed to clash with the "normal" fast-paced gameplay and I thought she was an outdated gimmick. Oh how wrong I was, I instantly loved how versatile and rewarding she is to play. I periodically mained Pathfinder, Loba, Fuze, Crypto and Maggie only to finally settle with Wattson. My side mains are Maggie and Vantage, depending on my team comp.
So… you didn’t want to play Wattson because she was clashing with your fast paced playstyle and seemed like a gimmick… Yet you mained loba for a time. Wat
From being a primary Octane main, didn't think any other legend would fit me, really liked wattson but tried her and just couldn't get the hold of her, watched several tips, tricks, guides, all that stuff on her, and this was the most helpful one, now I am a pretty good secondary wattson main
im a wraith main but i always enjoy playing wattson when someone takes wraith. Some of my best reactions have been from fencing a doorway while running from someone without ever slowing down, for some reason people think its the craziest tech ever and it makes me feel like im better than i am🤣
MAKE THIS A SERIESSSSS. Get other legend mains to speak for their respective legend and make a series where you show everything for every character. It's actually so helpful to have all the info in one place ngl
Wow. Thank you so much for the time spent putting this together! I'm very new to Wattson (I just started playing her 2 weeks ago). In that time I realized she is the legend I want to main. I've been pretty much winging my matches with her, but this content has really helped me understand her abilities. Thanks again!
The issue i have with playing wattson as a controller player is the accuracy of placing nodes, Sometimes some small object is stopping it from being placed and you cant be as accurate and as quick as a mouse and keyboard player. This is especially evident when you are being rushed and you are trying to defend yourself and you trying to place proper fences and they end up not going where you want them to go.
18:00 when you talked about the diamond, placing a straight line is sometimes better to do, because if you're trying to get info of whether or not teams are running to get into the ring, three nodes will be enough, placing more than 4 down is just overkill sometimes because once you start fencing again later on, those fences will disappear
Yes but say theres 2 other squads left and your trying to rotate through a tunnel with a team behind you, only way to ring is through that tunnel unless you want to use meds and try to go through zone to get to ring. Then placing fences there to slow them down as their trying to get to zone (especially if their low) can cause one of them to get knocked by being slowed and prob low hp from a team fight and not having time to heal bc of zone. Then once you get to ring if theres a building you want to set up in then you can just use the fences. Yeah they may break the ones holding back the team going through the tunnel but atleast if you place them there there is a chance they get hit beyond them or slowed down trying to break them so you dont get third partied. If you never put them there to begin eith then you have to be expecting that team and might get jumped
Watson has been one of my main characters since season 5 and I must say these are great tips for new Watson players… I also need to start fencing outside of my buildings game changer… I normally wait for a team to push my door and door trick them but I’m going to start using some of your tips
I find this very helpful... being a new Wattson main. Next season she's getting into a new type of character called Control characters and she can scan beacons now.... I think this will help her bc you can set up more patterns where people will come through.
I loved this video! Personally I'm really happy with the videos length, I love it when you go into depth about the subject and having a whole video dedicated to every building would be genuinely lovely as a newer player to wattson
im a wraith main trying to learn wattson for the new season. this videos is great! i am a straight line wattson 🤣 and i definitely watched the entire thing & saved the video. appreciate the time you put into this!
I noticed you mentioned you can’t see how many fences you placed. You actually can see the number of fences you have when placing fences It’s that circle with all the dots around it if you count the lit up dots that’s how many fences you placed. Great video btw.
@dazs ur so amazing. Content second to none…so informative… could u give us a top tier solo q ranked specific legend list. Would love to hear ur detailed thoughts
Awesome video as always! I've decided to finally try and get good with Watson and this has helped me tremendously. I would love to see a video on how to push a team with Watson. How to swing a team with fences and considerations while in action.
love the long videos. I main Wattson and Loba. I love Wattson because of the methodical approach you have to have while playing her. Alot of the things you mentioned are very important but also will naturally become more apparent with time while playing her. what helped me be better with managing her fences. is not trying to perfectly fence off an area completely. but more of manage the chaos around me and my team as much as possible to allow us to anchor and apply pressure when needed. the zigzag technique you mentioned, is interesting. i will play around with that much more. i can see how effective that could be, with stopping flanks in building and open areas. thank you for your insight as a fellow wattson lover :)
I rarely like videos but I had to drop a like and a sub. As someone who's been playing wattson for the past 3 days, this video has helped me tremendously!. I would love to see a in depth guide on how to fence every building. Also I appreciate the time and effort it took for this video.
this guide is amazing! i've learned so many helpful wattson tips from you on my wattson main journey. this new video is just nuts! ive been starting to play a lot of ranked recently too so i cant wait to apply some of these tips. thank you!!
I have had so much fun this season with a wattson caustic combo. It’s like spiders catching flies. I fence them in, he throws his thingie, they can’t escape
Against popular opinion probably, but I actually really enjoy these long form videos. I usually watch your channel while i’m at work and your long streams and longer form videos really make my shifts go by quicker and easier. Thanks for your amazing content man. Definitely one of my favorite RUclipsrs
I am planning to play Wattson this upcoming season and this guide is so in depth! I appreciate it a lot, honestly learned so much about her kit that I never knew before. Thanks a lot for the guide.
Id love to see a longer video of you fencing ALL buildings, really helpful to see your perspective since youve been playing her so long. I love Wattson but im sadly not as good with her as id like to be.
Thanks a lot for this! I love Wattson im trying to learn to be the best Wattson i can! Thanks a lot this has really helped me to understand her better!
A bit of a commentary on this, from another Wattson main: I feel like you missed the mark a bit on some of your examples. 80% of the time when I'm fencing I don't have a gen down, so I am working off my four fences and the normal 15sec CD timer. Learning to work around this as a limited resource is critical. Almost all of the examples you showed in this video are based around putting a gen down and having the full 12 nodes quickly at hand. Also using fences during a fight to cut off opponents is another one of those under-utilized tricks that can save your hindquarters in fights. Getting good at switching between shooting, cover, and fencing is another layer of the Wattson skillset that Lamic999 shows off a lot. I'm not great at it, but it has helped me to split up multiple opponents into 1v1s in fights. Thanks for the video and everything you do for the Apex community, I'm a Wattson main because of you ♥️
Thing is though, if you’re a proper wattson main, you will ALWAYS have your ult ready if your stacking Ult Accels like you should be. I carry two in quickplay and 4 in ranked, so WHENEVER I need to set up on a dime, I slam one down and set up asap
@@sillysokka1130 That’s kind of a half-answer. You don’t always have ult accels on hand, or if you do you need to think strategically and not waste them. Sure I am quick use my ult, but you need to be flexible enough to be able to win in both satiations (with or without your ult).
thank you for taking the time to make this video! your videos have really helped me become a better player and develop my skills in apex. thank u again! stay safe and keep well
I just found u , I loved ur spectating diamond video and this one! Will you do more spectating ranked vids? I hope so bc it was very helpful and interesting and surprising seeing how other ppl play and noticing that everyone makes mistakes lol … gg
Issue I have with it, once you reach 12 you have no idea if its some placed a mile away, next building. You just know 12 are down. Meaning it will explode the first down somewhere. It works the first go around. Otherwise you are spent counting. I should of added more clarity in the video. Like a proximity count instead.
Amazing guide man. Always loved her never been able too use her. Gunna give her a go after watching this. I love her control over the enviroment she brings too fights
I learnt a lot in this video 🔥this is very intriguing sense I just started wit her I had death boxes piled up In font of my door but I didn’t think to use her fences like that .
I use Wingman and Flatline, I like the hipfire with the flatline so in some situations it can substitute a smg, and the wingman works at almost any range if you can hit your shots
If people watch guides to improve I'm sure they are more than happy to have a long in depth guide haha Every building is a lot of effort for a guide but I'd be more than happy seeing her strongest and easiest buildings to hold
Thanks! Great guide! I'm trying to master Wattson, but I'm struggling with the outside fences, because the other teams break them from distance and I can't replace them without being shot. Any tips?
5:00 god, i wish they would finally fix the fencing UI, it's so broken and slow when you retract fences using the right click. A lot of "why didn't my node place" issues originate from the broken UI, because every time it doesn't properly show the ui, the client side placement checks don't trigger and it will "allow" to place nodes in places it actually can't place a node and will play the animation of placing a node, which fucks you over in the heat of battle, because it makes you think you placed a full fence, when in reality only one node was placed. 28:00 i made the reverse experience, my enemies often back up from a door just by moving back rather than to a side or to the wrong side, which makes the door trick fail more often when i place the node at an angle.

i would rather watch 1 video that may be long then have to scavenge through videos on Somone's channel
Just based on the thumbnail, in order to master Watson you have to place Nessies everywhere on the map.
❤ you know what needs to be done
You'd be doing a disservice if u don't.
Well yes that's step 1
Yessir
I literally do that every match lol
While Q'ing you also have a small blue circle on your screen with 12 dots around it. Each empty dot represents how many fences you can place until you reach 12 active ones.
I never realized this! I always thought some kind of counter would be useful, I'm always counting out loud as I fence
🙏🏽 great tip
Useful for like the first fight but unfortunately it also counts your nodes that are on the entire map, meaning it’ll always show blue around end game
@@hellothere8270 correct, but in case they were destroyed or you removed them..
I wish they would make it only count like within 100m or something like that, give it a range

Im extremely excited for the control change, I usually play the anchor role anyways, and this will help immensely.
Very helpful for me even as someone who plays Watson it is still good to hear other insights appreciate all the effort for this
Nice, I’m terrible with the fences but the pylon is so useful
Time to become a master of fences!
One of my favorite things about Wattson is that there’s always more to learn-got lots of new tips on fencing here can’t wait to try em in ranked

I like the long guides, make another one on Watson pls
In my opinion they should buff wattsons passive to make it so fast as octanes passive
Love the longer vids! Please do one for Seer, maggie or catalyst!
Bro amazing guide... I felt like I had plateau'd but now you 've given me way more things to work on
Thanks a lot for this! I love Wattson im trying to learn to be the best Wattson i can! Thanks a lot this has really helped me to understand her better!

The left trigger fence snap is so important for controller players. It's the main way I pick up nodes because you can do it without walking up to them

Wow, amazing info 🍿🍿
49:28 I really read that as wattson poké battle 😂😂
Stellar guide. I don't even play much Wattson but watched the whole video.
Love it !
Definitely helpful tips, I forgot how fun it is to play Wattson.
when you go into your fencing, theres a circle toward the bottom of your screen, that counts the amount of fences your using and have left
Thank you for making these videos, I started maining Wattson bc of you and I use these videos in place of a coach as I can't afford one, I also play wraith, but every time I go from wraith to Wattson I feel like I do so much better and idk if that's bc they have different play styles or what but everything I do as Wattson is bc of ur videos so keep it up 🙏

what sensitivity and dpi do you need to play at for optimal fence bossness?
i love wattson thanks for the Tips =)

I'm at the start of the video and I'm a Wattson Main from heart, I hope there are still some thing to learn for me!
Just unlocked her after grinding from 0 tokens. This video will surely come in handy, thanks alot!
When u have a diamond, can you connect two opposite points in the middle, gaining a free fences basically?
NOOOOO LOL why did you remind me of the zig zag scene. Good video though and very imformative! I recently have been loving Wattson and this video is going to help me a lot. Keep it up!
Would love a part 2!
I always change my fence patterns if the sever has to much lag because really precise patterns are kinda annoying if the server is lagging
I need a wattson fantasy rework to where her tactical is like the disruptive rounds bust it only works for a single clip or like the amp charge for the sentinel
i have enough to unlock a legend and for some reason i gravitated towards wattson. i don’t see many people use her and that’s makes me want to play her 😅
Did they fix the ability to see how apart the nodes are once they are placed ?
