i hear most hold this with the thumb over where the glassbreaker on some of these are to prevent it slipping, isnt the glass breaker and even DNA collector (because of the small spikes) in the way of having a good grip on these?
It is not clear how you transition from writing with the pen to using the pen as a self-defense tool. I would think that the ballpoint pen point would not hold up under the impact of a strike. Also, I have ruined a number of shirts by putting an "unsheathed" pen in my shirt pocket and having the pen bleed on to the fabric. It was not clear how this pen prevents this problem.
The pen itself isn't plastic. Its some sort of a metal. That being said, any sharp pointed metal can be used to thrust and pierce. So the tip of the pen can be used for this. Not a good idea, but its better than nothing. The real punch point of the pen is the rear. That spikey end of it. Although it won't kill, it will collected blood and tissue in it and around it if you push it into skin. Also works for shattering glass. I mean, at the end of the day, its really just a small metal stick that has a replaceable ink cartridge inside of it so it can write ahahah EDIT: The leaking ink is just a bad cartridge. You should ALWAYS put a lid, or twist/click etc the ink cartridge away.
