A poll I held back in January told me that you lot wanted to see this so here it is. I've decided to post this now as something instinctively just didn't feel right with me publishing a programme presented by Savile on Christmas Day itself. For some, Christmas can be depressing enough without this being available!
One half of me didn’t want to publish this because he’s probably the most toxic of the [unprintable word] that were “outed” as unsavoury people around 10/11 years ago. The other half of me wanted to publish this because it’s a historical TV artefact and my strategy for non-news programmes on this channel has been for me to act as a kind of “curator” of TV for me to present on here. To present TV as it was, warts and all. The aforementioned poll was held and a large majority of people voted for me to publish this.
Sometimes programmes I present on here will be stuff that was popular, stuff that wasn’t and - like this one - programmes that were once popular but for one reason or another are not popular now. I never upload episodes of a series that has already been commercially released.
I suggest you all book four hours sometime in your schedule and watch The Reckoning on BBC iPlayer!
The BBC News was published on Christmas Day.

That's fine. Thanks for the background detail. The actual segments are of value in themselves and [] wasn't involved with the filming of those. Someone I know appeared in a bit about a visit to an ice-cream factory near the end of the series..

well apart from the fact, should any stranger perhaps be kissing an eight year old, and even if it is only on the cheek, whats with some bloke dressing up as santa, and then saying to a little girl, come and sit on my lap.
