As a democrat, I may not have agreed with his policies, he may not have been the "smartest" from an academic standpoint, but you know what, he's seems like a decent, good guy. I don't see any hatred or malice in his heart. He's humble and not arrogant - compare that to who we have now....

That is a nice sentiment. And that is something I always saw in president Bush. IDK where you were politically when he was in office, but the attacks and platitudes were quite high back then as well. Even now with President Trump, we need to be able to voice our disagreements with his policies, his actions but in the same hand be able to see these men who serve as President as human beings

+NonyaBusiness! This is what I am talking about. Drop the hyperbolic attitude, reliance on platitudes and see both the good and the bad. Everyone of those comments are biased, slanderous and does not get us to the place in this nation where we need to be. A place where we can respectfully disagree with someones opinion and not result to name calling to stop and intelligent debate.
      1. Many of the women's accounts were discredited by witness' and the outcry stopped once the election was over. (ergo, hint of political games men ship). Also if he raped a 13 yr old, he would be in jail. You dont buy your way out of pedophilia.
      2. That was an economic issue and not a race issue. He has renters from every nationality all over the world in his tower.
      3. Xenophobia doesn't explain his relationship with Japan. And you add sex in that comment where he started a task force with Canada on how to raise women up through society.
      4. You realize that no one can ascribe who is behind this, he has denounced those who do this in his name and most importantly there are antisemitic groups on the left basing out of a Pro Palestine movement.
I am in no way saying he is the holiest, perfect person/politician. I just ask we drop the hyperbole, that there is two sides to each story, and just because you like/hate someone always question the validity of what you read and do your own research.

Carlos Tineo Under Obama's presidency two FISA requests were made last year to investigate Trump and his campaign staff. The Liberal NYT reported that they received wired tap info from an undisclosed source. Accusation of the Russians hacking the elections was a cover-up for Obama's mishandling of wired taps of the Trump campaign.

When the media makes up fake news and lies about Trump, he has every right to call them out. He also has every right to ban CNN from his news conferences. Look at all the false accusers CNN aired against Trump during the election. They put these women on air to accuse Trump with zero proof.

If CNN were not white hating extreme leftists that defend BLM at all costs then no one would hate them and seek other news sources that are actually reliable and not biased. Same thing for fox. People don't take fox seriously anymore because they're extremely right wing. Therefore they have biased ideas.

    • @flyingace1939
      @flyingace1939 7 лет назад +4

Firstly, it has nothing to do with 'inviting' people to press gaggles. Journalists are never invited to press conferences; they show up out of obligation and because its their job. Trump only wants to accept people who like him and will ask him soft questions (i.e. Brietbart and Fox), which is incredibly unhealthy for democracy and it makes Trump look like a weak leader. On the contrary, it would make Trump look like a strong leader if he let in the people who hate him because it shows that he's not afraid to take flack from them. Plus, it will give him the opportunity to shut down any unreasonable questions from biased journalists, and he can put them in their place (on live TV no less, where the whole world can see their humiliation). So, why not take advantage of that opportunity?

Every one of the last handful of presidents before Trump has used a travel ban and by law, they have the right to. (Including Obama who also used a travel ban).
Only an idiot would support an immigration policy that doesn't consider any dangers of terrorism. Yet this is considered a step backwards because we're being paranoid.
Upholding the law isn't all there is to it. Before the new immigration policies came along, the original law included the right to deny immigration for the safety of the American citizens (with good reasons of course).
Immigrants are always welcome. As long as they come through legal means.
It's funny how people talk about upholding the LAW LAW LAW when they love and condone the breaking of the law.
I'm not talking about you though, but this whole debate is nonsensical.

  • @ericmathis3746

At the time he was president, I was lambasted quite frequently because I would voice how I loved president Bush. That even though I disagreed with some of his policies, I thought him to be a very good man. And now, in 2021 you listen to him and kinda wish we now had someone like him in office compared to what we have had to deal with in the white house in recent years. Where people go wrong as it pertains to the president is backing a president at all costs. And that's never been more evident than with both Trump and now Biden. What I mean is that it's ok to vote for a president that you can sometimes disagree with on certain things, as well as being able to agree with things for a president you didn't vote for. For example, 'Never Trumpers' and 'always Trumpers'..never Trumpers' will blindly disagree with EVERYTHING that trump says or does..even though he may say or do something you may have otherwise agreed with. Same with always trumpers..they will back him no matter what the cost, even if it may be something you would otherwise disagree with on any other occasion. That outlook on politics makes the country VERY divisive and dangerous. And that has carried over to the Biden presidency. Back when Bush was president, republicans both in washington and regular citizens didn't just blindly back everything Bush said or did, and democrats didn't always disagree. That's the way politics should be done in our country. You don't always have to agree or disagree blindly to what presidents say or do, whether you voted for him/her or not. We are living in dangerous times..and we need to change and come together as a nation. It's ok to agree or disagree with politicians regardless of who you voted for.
