"A lot of things that we think are bad in everyday life are actually quite insignificant. Running is my hobby, so it's actually my choice to put myself there, and put myself through this misery. Whereas cancer was never a choice."
This quote really stuck with me. Incredible film.
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does someone know of a method to log back into an instagram account..?
I was dumb lost my login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me
I can relate being diagnosed stage 4 terminal in 2015 but my mind and body fought so I'm still here remarkably, your mind must be strong and body x x
Just watched this again. As one who had a few fell races having read ‘Feet in the Clouds’.
Had both hips replaced a few years back, and blood cancer treatment three years ago.
Finding my feet again on the hills of Somerset having moved from London. Now 66 years young.
Nicky, this is pure inspiration! What you’ve achieved is totally amazing… Enjoy 🌈
Love this, what a location to run, beans on toast, food of British champions for decades.
"Once you have been running in the hills you don't go back to roads and 10k's" - Yes
+Nigel Not true for everyone. There are trail runners who still compete on the road. And there are ultra runners who still compete on the road too. And some go back to just road running.
+Nigel She must have taken quite a few breaks on the trail eating all those beans...
The Lakeland fells are magnetic. Whenever I visit and get up in the high places it just makes me want to go on and on. Such an amazing place.
Talking to myself here; but what an outstanding achievement, and film.
Wow! Nicki is such an inspiration, her ongoing legacy should be taught in schools!
Mind blown!!
Great film, great production just simply amazing!!! ❤
Man that fish and chips looks good. Nice to see Roger Baumister getting some credit… absolute legend.
A pleasure to watch.
Thank you.
Watched this for the first time tonight - wow, what an incredible achievement by a lovely lady. Hats off to her fabulous support crew too.
Such a fantastic and inspiring woman. And also: I love how Joss Naylor is titled ‘Fell Running Legend’ and how he and Roger were supporting Nicky. Real fellowship!
Absolutely brilliant and well done Nicky! Thank-you for sharing your experience with breast cancer, really hope inspiring. And cheers to the director and his crew for doing such a great job of capturing and combining both of Nicky's journeys: through the hills and through her cancer.
Remarkable will and strength of character, a true inspiration.
This was beautiful, thank you.
Respect to the camera crew
Truly inspirational lady. An incredible feat of endurance -especially after battling against the Big C!
So inspirational nicky
Amazing...and so inspirational!!
Amazing achievement, what an inspiration, especially to those of us who are older and often doubt what our bodies are capable of achieving in our later years.
+Les Jack La Lane did many amazing things well into his 90s. And doubt is something that everyone has to overcome in some way...
Very well done. I love the scenery.
what an inspirational collection of footage - thankyou
Pushing yourself further through the pain and in those amazing views. What an epic journey!
Wow.... So much respect. Amazing effort and this film really give back what fell running is about =)

Amazing journey & you looked so beautiful during the whole run! Congratulations on your achievement.
A total inspiring film with excellent footage that compliments this ladies finger to the big 'c' as oppose to her thumbs up to life! Watchable again and again 👌
Beautiful film ,thank you 👍👍
Watched a lot of these on you tube and I have to say that this is for me the most motivational. A real person with a great out look. Such a pleasure to watch thank you
Brilliant - what an achievement! Totally inspirational
Absolutely phenomenal!
Amazing! Very inspirational.
Incredible! A true inspiration.
What an incredible journey, defeating cancer and completing an amazing challenge. Motivation for ultra runners. Great job¡
+Pachoman She considers herself a Fell Runner not an ultra runner...I think. But maybe she is a fell runner who does ultras...
Amazing film! Very inspiring lady.
Truly inspiring, what a wonderful lady!!!
Great film!
Incredible, what a hero.
I love INOV-8, its design and its initiatives. A hug to these warriors of nature and history.
They are an inspiration to us, the youngest ...

Awesome lass! I must put the BG on my bucket list before I get much older.
In.Cred.Ible!! Well done Nicky, what an absolutely top lass!! - BBC sports personality of the year 2017, surely!!!!!!
a true Brit - lots of courage and realism-fab effort
+sr So all I need is a farm and the British chicks will come running to milk the cows and goats???
massive achievement. fantastic effort. this is why I want to become a ultra runner.

Incredible achievement. What a woman!
What a mind blowing achievement, simply thinking the figures through is boggling.
I wish you great prosperity in all you seek Ma'am.....
(Oh...& I do so envy your husband.....!!)
Wow...what an incredible woman 🙏
Amazing! Some people just make it look so easy.. I can just about run a marathon, and will hopefully move on to beginner ultras, but I won't look as fresh as her. Wish I lived closer to the lakes,, love visiting, and have my first official "fell" run at the festival this year.. Can't wait!
Absolutely brilliant, well done Nicky, well done team, will be watching it again, fantastic 👌👍
Thanks so much 😊
A wonderful achievement and a wonderful lady
respect! great heart!
An amazing film and an amazing character.
Thank you!
Excellent Nicky and road xing/pacers well done
What an inspiration! I've put 2018 as my BGR year (just a single for me!)
Sean Barnett howd it go mate!
I "met" Nicky once -- cruising easily past me in the Borrowdale Fell Race 2015, on the Corridor Route. I'll [attempt to] follow her, I thought, she looks like she really knows what she's doing. I didn't know the half of it! (I *did* know the half of a double BGR, but slower paced than this, so it really hit home seeing it all again.) An absolute legend, a phenomenal athlete, and an inspiration.
Legend.........
what a Legend!!!
Amazing
Fantastic
I've got to have a go at this!
phenomenal
Well!good documentary very interr.nature and great...
Her feet though, i cry over one blister.....
Wonderful story and achievement. I pumped my fist as she touched the door. Yes!
Great achievement, Nicky is a truly inspiring personality. @Inov8 the movie is great but could benefit greatly from captioning. We foreigners also want to experience every drop of the adventure.
Just wow
One inspitationali history!!!
Hope to be Running Forever... and off this tarmac!
Very good 👌🏻
What a lovely inspirational woman. Wish I had a friend like her.
Rock the silver 💇. You look great!
Nicky is such an inspirational lady, I really wish I could run. I’ve tried it a few times and get shin splints literally within 10mins ☹️
I would get shin splints as well but I paid a little extra for some decent shoes and focused on my running technique and it’s been okay so far
Imagine how much faster those guys in the beginning would go if they didn't have to follow the old lady.
Good luck at Frozen Head!!
Opening song please I beg you.
This is so awesome! How old is she?
+Jenna I think she said she was 37 when she got the cancer checkup...so maybe 38 when she does the run? Though she looks a lot older to me...
@@tuesdaysrunner4038 48 when she did it. 51 when she debuts at the Barkley s this year
amazing. A Double Bob Graham sounds like the sequel to Rita Sue and Bob Too
Sheismailxxx
The only reason God hasn't flooded the earth again is because fine people like Nicky Spinks walk among us.
El documental es muy bueno, y la proeza de la señora es increíble. Pero es que no la dejan sola ni un momento, la llevan entre algodones. Eso no me ha gustado.
Incredible achievement by Nicky and a great story.
Only slight criticism of the film was the music being too loud and obscuring a lot of the talking.
Yes why do so many ultra marathon films do this? Do they all use the same sound person???
Well there could be a triple
Now they can try to do the Baldy Marathon 100 miler which nobody has finished yet. The Southern California Barkley...
After that she might have to change her name to "Nicky Spanks"...
11.00 should be fired instantly for putting milk in first.
All the countless hours of training...in pubs.
Something wrong with folk like this
I'd like to see some of the so called American ultra runners try this!
I don't know why you feel the need to sh*t on others. There are ways of praising one´s accomlishments without putting other people down. But while we are at it, this doesn't look that hard compared to some of the ultras in the US. In particular, one thing you do NOT have to deal with is elevation and elevation gain. The highest mountain in the UK is Ben Nevis at mere 1340m. Any race in the Rockies is brutally and vastly harder. Leadville 100 goes up to almost 4000m. Speaking of self-navigated races, there's Barkley marathons, which so far, no woman ever finished. SO therere's that.
+Rebecca They can do it. And beat her time no doubt...let's see the Brits finish Barkley...or be the first to do the Baldy Marathon 100...
Tuesdays Runner FYI, Mark Williams was a Brit (but I do agree with the basic argument that there are many US ultras as tough or tougher than ‘the round’).
If its not that hard why don't you go do it M and let us watch?
no woman and only 13 men, whats your point?
Have you ever wondered what your purpose in life is? If all of human history will one day be destroyed, than does your legacy really matter? Does what your putting all of your effort into make a difference in the long run? The answer is yes it does but probably not for the reason you think. God is eternal and he created you as an eternal being and so your purpose is actually eternal. You were made for relationship. God thinks relationship is so important that he actually died on a cross to show how serious he is about wanting a relationship with you. You see God is love and the only way that you can love someone is by knowing the source. He gives you a new heart as you surrender your old heart to Him. So if you want to know what this is like I invite you to right now ask God for forgiveness. Turn away from your sinful lifestyle and give your heart to the one who cares. Jesus has changed my life and he wants to change yours too. If you have a bible I encourage you to read the gospel of John and ask God to change your heart.
Have a blessed day!
So........this old lady supposedly did what elite runners have not?
Drew H yes- show some fucking respect!
She is an elite runner, she holds the absolute records for all three British double rounds and is the only person to finish all three double rounds, she also held the records for all 3 single rounds simultaneously until 2016.
