This lesson was charming, wonderful, helpful and SOO GOOD for amateur (me) who has "discovered" this aria through the film "Joyeux Noel (2005)" and has been singing it, badly, in untutored German for WEEKS (in the car, in the shower, and more). I've played multiple recordings of it, heard it in many interpretations, and find it and its poetry THRILLIng. WHO KNEW that this video, and this very kind teacher, would coach and help me with it. BRAVO to Bach, BRAVO to Stoltzl, BRAVA to Magdalena's notebook, and BRAVISSIMO to this teacher. Grazie bene, Hooray for Australia, and YES, I've dipped my big toe into BACH MANIA, xx from Danforth Prince
Hello! I'm so glad you're finding the video helpful, and (hopefully 😀) inspiring! It is such a beautiful piece with a truly lovely sentiment. I fully applaud car and shower-singing! Thank you for your kind words - I'm always so happy to hear that people are finding them helpful. 😁
Me Too! I LOVE This Aria! I Probably Would Not Have Know It If Not For Joyeau Noel! I Don't Speak German But It's Easier To Learn To Pronounce Words In l A Language That Is Not Native To You When You SING It! She's Good! She Must Be A Vocal &/OR Vocal Language Coach!👍
She's Good! She's Had A Lot Of Training As A Vocalist & It Translates Well To Her Coaching This Video & Others! It Brings Me Right Back To The Days When I Sang In Large Choirs - With Multiple Parts & In Different Languages... SO Fun! This Is A GORGEOUS Aria That I Was Unfamiliar With Yet Until I Also Heard It In The Movie Joyeau Noel! I Just Love It, As Well As Many Renditions Of It I Have Heard On The Internet - w/String Quartet, Brass Accompaniment, Piano, Organ & Acapella! Many People Get Intimidated By Singing In A Language That Is Foreign To Them, But I Find SINGING In A Non-Native Language An Easier Way To Learn Proper Pronunciation & Accent! Quicker, Too! I've Sung @/Least One Song In A Handful Of Different Languages...I Also Like Learning To Sing The National Anthem, etc. Of Other Countries In That Country's Language! I ALWAYS Hear The HARMONY!🎶 Enjoyable Channel!
Hi, and welcome to my channel! Thank you so much for your lovely comments. I love singing in different languages too, and I've tried quite a few. It sounds like you have too! Yes, I am a professional opera singer and vocal teacher, and I've been lucky to have a lot of tuition in some languages. I always like to find a native speaker to help me though!! Happy singing. 😁🎶
Hi! I LOVE La Vie En Rose, and funnily enough, I've just been booked to sing it at a concert in October. So....I may well do a tutorial as I start working on it again. Thanks for singing with me! 😁🎶
Thank you very much❤I look for how to sing is beautiful aria from Bach. I am French and I sing also in the choir. This lesson help me to know how make my breath and pratrice the words with a similar german accent. I enjoy to meet you on you tube channel. See you soon😊
I am great with German and singing as well as this song, until the last new text and getting everything in mind including melody so that I can hopefully sing Acapella for AGT one day soon.
@@AmandaAllen-c2q I was born near Manchester, and have lived in London, Scotland and the Midlands. I now live in New Zealand, so my accent is a big mixture!
The 'R' sound at Bach's time was pronounced like in Italian. Today it's 'rr' like in French or, at the end of the word, 'schwa'' (mir = 'mia'). Here I'd say 'mir' with Italian 'r'.
