I am glad to come across this video. I’m currently studying level 3 counselling. I felt quite alone I. My experience of being the only black student on my course. It’s been very challenging. Having experienced racism living in mainly white area. The desire to be counsellor and be faced with this is topic I brought in level 2 and answer has always been refer the client on without tacking impact it will have on you. The trauma of racism on you personally and your identity. I feel I. The year 2023 as I currently studying I still find that counselling I’m on falls short to deal with this issue.

This is great would love a link to her report. BAATN network is great, I’m currently a level 2 student but these videos are very helpful. As a black women I’m sure this will be something I may experience.
