- M2 Browning | The M2 machine gun is an incredible story of longevity. Of all the weapons to come from the genius of John Moses Browning, the M2 Browning .50 Caliber Machine Gun may have been his crowning achievement. It certainly was one of his finest, and one of the last to ever be born at the desk of this giant innovator of American guns.

The M2 browning: Turning cover into concealment for over 100 years.
Underrated
Those who know.
Cover is something you hide behind that will stop a bullet. Like a concrete wall. Concealement is something you hide behind that will not stop a bullet, like a car door. Hence the joke.
@@executivelifehacks6747 my comment went right on by you.
@@DarkRyderWhisky exactly!
You can't improve much on near perfection. Mr. Browning was indeed ahead of his time.
John Moses was a genius, his timeless design speaks for itself...... >>>
The only thing better than one M2 is four M2s. In WWII through Vietnam, we were still using the Quad 50. Awesome!!
“Ma Deuce”. Legendary and devastating.
A.G.R.E.E.D.
"When Ma Duce speaks,
Everyone Listens".
Its simple, effective, can be modified for future applications and mass producible... Very good machine gun.
God rest your soul JMB. What a fine man he was.
As we say in the US:
Don’t fix what’s not broken.
AMEN TO THAT.
If it ain't broke don't fix it.
This is a masterful piece of equipment. If I had an army I would make as many of this. Every unit would be armed at least with one.
Carrying that M3 Tripod was pain
Someone had to do it
My opinion: Legendary!
I miss shooting at weapon. SEMPER FI
The answer is simple because it is M2 Machine gun
It's a beast of a gun I feel sory 4 every brick and concrete wall :))))
Why everything defence arm somehow finds its origin in Germany
You're asking dark questions here you may not want the answer to.
German enginering
I want to learn engineering in Germany.
It is an outstanding. Weapon
Arguably Brownings greatest contribution to the US military.
That and the tilting barrel and slides in pistols
@@jeramysteve3394 yes, but then again pistols are more a nice to have than essential.
The only other one that even camre close was the M1911 pistol. The M1911, M1919 and M2 are Browning's triple masterpieces.
I am trained on a M2. Whitch is a lot bether than the M2 being trained at me...
Best machinegun there is!
M2 is beautiful - heavy but "zhaftig"! Always want one (or MORE) when trouble starts - she settles things ! Just Beatiful.
I was on the receiving end off one in the Falklands in 82 on two sisters it was taken out with a 84mm anti tank gun thank F**k
If it's not broke don't fix it ever🤫🤫🤫
Should be used to defend The Capital
You’re right, let’s use it Against the criminal senators and congressman
@@sangrejoven7858 start at the top, Biden and Harris then work down from there both sides of the aisle leaving only the Red, White and Blue!
Acknowledging George S. Patton's belief that the M1 Garand was the “GREATEST BATTLE IMPLEMENT EVER DEVISED”, the M2 Browning .50 must be a close #2!
👍✌💯🇺🇸
Interesting to see the gun in action in videos from Afganistan: Constantly jamming.
Any weapon is only as good as its maintenance and manufacturing standards.
It downs more enemy planes than the best fighter planes combined
It was a fighter plane weapon for many many years. All the WWII era US fighters were armed with them. Sometimes as many as 8 at once. They competed favorably with specifically designed air to air cannons, although shorter in range they could deliver a lot of pain downrange very quickly once they closed with the target.
JWB got Ma Deuce right the first time. It is perfection personified. Loaded with silvertips, it simply cannot be beaten as an anti-personnel and anti-thin skin armor weapon. My HMMWV had an M2 mounted in the ring and it never failed us. I traced the serial number on it and it was manufactured in 1955. It was not capable of mounting the QC barrel but there are no shortage of screw in HB's available. If Artillery is the King of the Battlefield, Ma Deuce is easily the Queen.
There is _NO_ flash suppressor on the M2 HB or QC barrel. The bullet is 750 GRAINS, not 750 GRAMS. 700 grains translates into 45 gms or about an ounce and a half.
Wasn't Col. Parker also nicknamed Gatling Gun Parker? I think he commaned a gatling gun battery during the Battle of Kettle and San Juan Hills during the Spanish-American War.
Also uses AP ammunition to destroy railroad tracks.
firstttttttttttt MA DEUCE brings all the boys to the yard
Jeez man you good or should we come back later

Nothing to fix on this bad boy. The ammo packs plenty of punch. Want something bigger - it is called a cannon. It fires at the right rate. Any faster and it will just wear out orematurely and waste ammo while doing so. Lighter might be good but will it still take a lickin? Time will tell and I am not sure.
HMG.
Should have a white phosphorus anti personnel ammo
Thats called breaking the Geneva convention... ha were in danger.
@@zetoboogaloo8802 Shame to, white phosphorus was so effective at destroying equipment and rendering it useless for the enemy.
Says m1a2 Abrams, shows a Patton xDD
It's a machine gun why it have single fire selection 🤨🤔
To save ammunition and for focused marksman shots
Actually there is no select fire on the M2, the firing rate allows you to stab the thumb trigger for single shots.
Because it can! (more seriously, it's a cool feature that allows the M2 to double as a heavy antimateriel rifle)
Awesome firepower at Sea for small boat . . . Samalia terrorists etc.
kgf2 fans hit like for ದೊಡ್ಡಮ್ಮ
Yes - it's all cool and stuff - but it's still a WW1 machine gun.
It's heavy and it kicks like a mule - and the simple single-point mount it's usually used with doesn't offer much precision at more than ~400 meters. Above that - it's spray and pray.
A MG3 on a 3-point mount offers significantly more range+precision - albeit it's smaller caliber and therefore less penetration.
.50 projectiles have high air-resistance due to their shortness. A longer bullet would aerodynamically be a lot better - but wouldn't work in a M2. There isn't enough space inside to feed them.
The reason it's still in use is nobody built something better in .50BMG so far. The market is quite small - and using a ruzzian Kord isn't an option for any Nato country.
Madeuce
Did you really, yeah you did, you actually put, The Second World War, and, World War 2 as two separate wars, WHY?
Is that a mistake? I Don't think this is a mistake, I actually think you think they're two completely separate Wars?
In fact WWI and WWII are one war with an armistice, a ceasefire, and a phony war of 21yrs in-between the two halves, in fact the war in reality, really didn't end until Vietnam war ended, and it is still continues in the Middle East to this Day as the ripples reverberate ever outwards, and why do I say this, because Israel because a joke state after WWII in 1948 And its after affects are still continuing today and will until who knows.
So some could say WWI hasn't really ended at all.
